:p Hey everyone its finally here...

I fly out tomorrow from West Virginia to Barcelona for my 12day Med cruise on Epic....(Aft Balcony of course):D

Will be my brothers first cruise and my first experience on the big ships..

( I Already sailed on Norway twice and Jade once)..

Booked this cruise back in Jan of last year so its been a long time coming..

Anyway I will post an in depth review as soon as I get back...

Wrote a terrible review when asked about my service...

My 3 previous cruises were handle nicely but this one however has been a bust...

:D Makes me glad I booked and prepaid my gratuities on my upcoming cruise over a year ago..

Made out like a banshee with all these updated increases..

Still have the old UDP package and OBC on my Epic cruise in less than two weeks...

My brother had his surgery and it was not as serious as once believed so he is cleared for the upcoming cruise...(Please note nothing he is dealing with is life threatening)...

This is his first experience with cruising so he is going to have a ball.....

I believe due to his medical issue he will be covered under the purchased insurance..

I was a bit confused as to how it would effect me however..

Chances are good he will get to go but its going to be one of those not 100% sure till the last minute type cruise...

:confused: I have a cruise coming up March 16th on Epic..

My brother may have to cancel at the last minute do to a medical issue, we both purchased trip insurance and final payment was made months ago ...

If he is forced to cancel will I be liable for any additional cost for our aft balcony ...

It will be his first cruise and I really hope he gets to go, otherwise I will be going alone to Barcelona...

Thankfully we each purchased cruise as well as airline insurance so he is covered should he need to cancel...

I booked more than 9 months early on my upcoming 12 Day cruise in March which gives me 24 Points...

It bumps me up to another tier on my next cruise..

No risk in asking but I doubt they will give it to you...

You didn't want to see Barcelona? I really like the city and take the chance to visit it whenever I have the opportunity.

This is my second time to Barcelona so I basically saw all I wanted last go round..

There is easy access from my hotel for transportation downtown should we feel the need but we really just want to kick back and relax before we board the ship the following day...

I booked a hotel Package close to the airport for me and my brother simply because we wanted to unwind and relax after our long flight..

The hotel picks us up from the airport as well as gives us a ride to the cruise port the next day at no charge.

Plus we get free breakfast to boot..

Its a four star rating hotel and has very good reviews ...

This is my 4th cruise..

1st was a inside stateroom (Norway), 2nd was an Oceanview (Norway), 3rd was a forward Balcony(Jade), and my upcoming March 16th cruise will be an Aft Balcony on Epic....

That's why I'm sailing from Europe instead of Alaska.

I tried booking Alaska back in Jan of 2015 for this year and the prices skyrocketed...

Even when they came down somewhat later in the year the final price was still nearly double what I paid for my current Med cruise on Epic in March and that's with an Aft balcony and two extra days thrown in the mix.....

:( Alaska has gotten too steep for this traveler....

Booked premium seating for my upcoming March cruise last night....

Have the old UDP but still paid $17 per person for the opening night perfermance...

I booked the cirque dreams and dinner online last night for my upcoming March cruise since I am quite sure it will fill up quickly opening night...

Got a quick confirmation Email from NCL...

Will probably wait till I am on the ship for any additional specialty dinning arrangements...

:( Pretty sad when people don't take the time to enjoy the beauty of their surroundings when cruising because they are so caught up in their devices...

When Wifi and cell service is finally made fast and reliable I will give up cruising completely...

There will be no safe refuge left...

If you booked with the UDP in January, Cirque is free with the UDP (on embarkation day only) according to your booking terms. But you will probably have a difficult time getting them to honor that, because they changed the rules for the UDP a few months later, and then they discontinued the UDP altogether. So by the time you sail, the people on board will have either forgotten about the free embarkation day performance for UDP holders, or they will have been instructed not to give it to you. You may still be able to get it if you are prepared to insist (bring all your documentation on board and do not waste your time talking to any of the front-line staff members, ask directly for the entertainment manager).

:confused: My question is the Cirque Dinner show still included in the Old UDP or is there an additional cost, was free with the UDP when I booked back in January, never got a concrete answer to that one..

I found the price I was happy with when I booked, then watched closely for any drops, thankfully there was one a few months later well before final payment..

I just made my final payment a couple a weeks ago in full knowledge that no more changes can be made..

I am happy, and basically stopped looking at the NCL site..

Why bother when I was perfectly happy when I gave them my final installment.

Enjoy your upcoming cruise and forget about what could have been, life as well as cruises are too short for that..
