  1. Since final payment is not due until tomorrow you can call and rebook at the lower price, however you will lose your 200 OBC and get the current OBC offer which I believe is $75.00...so weigh the benefits of the lower cost of the cabin compared to your OBC...

My Aft balcony dropped in price on the Epic so I rebooked, of course I lost my original $200 OBC and received the current promotion price of $75.00, the price reductions on the room was well worth it..I saved nearly $1200 in total savings...

  2. I Prepaid on my upcoming 2016 Cruise and the rate was 12.00 per day per person, so I know I am locked in at that rate..

Should the price go up in the coming months I will factor that in on any new cruises..

At this point it does not effect me on my current booking...

  3. You really think that the job of a TA is to watch for price changes for you?:confused::confused:

That is not even close to their job and what you are asking them to do is extra work so that they can take a pay cut.

If you book with a TA, don't expect price reductions, and if you want price reductions then book on your own.

When I booked we discussed possible price drops and she promised to keep an eye out and to contact me when they happened her words not mine..

I did get the current price drop thanks to my persistence and non trusting nature and saved $1200.

Right now I don't see any possible way my rate will go lower so I could have lost out on a fabulous deal...

However all is right in the world so now all I need to worry about is getting the best deal on plane tickets and hotel reservations...

I will still use her for my other travel arrangements so she will still make money in the long run...

  4. :D My TA called yesterday evening and confirmed my new rate after the price drop, I saved $1200, only thing I lost was my $200 OBC which dropped to $75 but it was worth it...

I now have a Aft Balcony on the Epic for 12 days in the Med for a total of $1600 per person which includes all Fee's, prepaid tips, and taxes..

I have the UDP and $75 OBC ..

    That's a heck of a deal...

  5. Since my original booking back in Jan. through my local TA I have had 2 price drops, both in which I had to bring to my TA's attention, something she is suppose to be doing as per our agreement...

She finally called me back today after I Emailed and left a voice mail that she had got just off the phone with NCL and after the price adjustment I saved over $1200 off my 12 Day Med Cruise on the Epic in March of 2016...

I still retained my OBC and my UDP however the OBC was lowered from $200 to $75, but to be honest the money I saved more than makes up for the small loss...However it still upsets me that she has twice missed the price reductions and its only been through my watchful eye that I saved any money at all ...

I am going to continue to check the NCL website every day to watch for any more price drops ...Someone has to it seems....

:D As of now after the reductions I have a Aft Balcony for me and my brother that prices out after taxes , port fees, prepaid tips, insurance and all other hidden fee's to $1600 per person for 12 days on the Epic in the Med...

  6. Booking through a TA can be a toss of the dice..

Thus far I have Emailed my TA twice about price reductions from NCL that have saved me nearly $700 on my cruise and both times she has had no knowledge of the price drop..

When I booked I left specific instructions that she was to monitor NCL for any price reductions and make the needed calls and adjustments..

I eventually got the reductions but only through my careful monitoring of their website... something she should be doing...I am past the period of transferring the booking to NCL so I will continue to do her job and look out for myself as needed.

Next time I will probably book straight through NCL...

  7. Just Emailed my TA and informed her of the price drop, she was working on getting me the last price drop just the other day, Now there has been another...

My Epic 12 day Med 2016 cruise with AFT Balcony will have dropped nearly $700 since my original booking back in Jan....Right now with the new rate I am at a little under $1295.00 PP before taxes...Wow!!! And I have the UDP and $200 OBC as well...

It could go lower..time will tell....:D At this rate they will be paying me to sail with them....

  8. There is no penalty for asking...Give it a shot.

Worst that can happen is they say no...Also if they say no be nice hang up and call later and speak to a different Rep., they may offer you something..

    Just keep trying..

  9. I have the 12 day Med cruise booked for 2016 with my brother, I have the promo for the Ultimate dining package as well as the $200 OBC..

Does the UDP package cover both of us on this cruise ? or do we have to purchase another UDP....

  10. Is there really any savings in this if the booking is only for two guests? Any other promos that I wouldn't have gotten before, for just the two of us?

My Balcony price dropped on my Med cruise so I saved about $250...

So make sure you check what your Balcony is going for ...

  11. Emailed my TA for my March 2016 sailing about the price drop.

I was out most of the day working...Hopefully she can get me the reduced price without loosing my current Free promotions..

Of course she is suppose be monitoring the prices as well...So if I miss out I am going to speak with her about her dropping the ball on this should it come to that...
