  1. Our TA last November from Rome to Miami was glorious sunshine and calm seas most of the way across the Atlantic.

We had temperatures up to high 80's.

2 previous TA's, we'd had cooler weather and rocky oceans, however, they both left from Southampton, so hopefully you'll do better than that.

  2. On our first TA the seas were so rough I couldn't walk in my formal night shoes.

I was so worried about wearing my jewelled 'fitflops' to the MDR but had little choice.

    And guess what?.........

I live to tell the tale :)

  3. We have only ever set up cash accounts on our Celebrity cruises.

Sometimes we buy OBC before we go and other times settle up onboard.

If I remember rightly, last year we were called to guest relations a couple of times when we got to a certain amount, so we just gave them the cash.

If you buy OBC and have anything left at the end, they will give it to you in cash on the last day.

  4. Just back from our Reflection TA and believe me, you don't need to upgrade.

We had frozen Daiquiris, frozen Margaritas and my favourite frozen drink was a Mudslide thanks to CC (I'd never heard of them before and my goodness they are good!) I had the best Piña Colada served to me in the theatre one night.

I never had the drink of the day, I didn't need to.

The wines by the glass with dinner were just fine. The sommeliers were all very helpful. I especially liked the Pinot Noir and my DH loved the Wente Cab Sav.

I drank mainly Prosecco in the Martini bar, the only drink I couldn't really get there were the Martinis which was no big deal to me.

Cafe al Bacio we were able to order liqueur coffees too.

Try the Classic for a few days and see how you get on, you can always upgrade later - I bet you don't ;)

  5. We got back to London this morning after a long day of travelling.

We loved this cruise! We had never been to the Caribbean, so felt it was a good way to try it out and now we want to go back.

First time on the Reflection and loved it. The lay out is slightly different to the other Solstice class ships and we were confused for the first couple of days.

We bought the 4 dinner package and enjoyed all the restaurants.

We also went to the Lawn grill on the first night with our lovely American friends who we met 4 years ago on the Eclipse TA, they booked a 50% off on the first night here, as they'd done the B2B.

We loved the Lawn Grill, it was our first time there, although the 2nd time we went in a big crowd (on our package) and I think the staff had problems getting everything completely right, although it didn't spoil our evening.

We didn't go to the porch but it looked very nice and they had the new seafood menu for lunch and dinner.

We only went to a few shows, I had to go and see Darren Day as he was so famous in the UK years ago, I thought he was good, as was Gareth Oliver. we saw him years ago on the Eclipse TA and he's changed a lot in the way he looks but was as funny as ever.

The last Celebrity Reflection Ariel show was very good with lots of hold your breath moments and I caught the end of the December 63 show, which was as good as everyone says.

We spent all of our before and after dinner drinking in the Martini Bar and were entertained every night by the incredible team that work behind that bar.

We had a Classic Package and felt no need to upgrade at all. The sommeliers in the MDR recommended good wines every night on our package and we tried most of them. We especially liked the Pinot Noir.

We were on Select Dining and it was busy. We hadn't pre-booked our dining times before we left, so found it better to just turn up in the end as they wouldn't let us book between 7.30 and 8.30 for the next night. We were given a pager and only once had to wait a long time, otherwise it was 5 - 10 minutes.

After having done 2 other TAs with cold crossings from Southampton, this has definitely made us think about what we will do in the future. Lying on a sun longer with a frozen Mudslide in 90 degrees was much more fun!

  6. Our favourite Celebrity cruise was in 2012 on the the Century, 10 nights, Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Seattle, overnight San Francisco, Monterey, Catalina Island, San Deigo.

We have family in Vancouver who we stayed with before the cruise and my aunt lives in LA, so stayed with her at the end.

My DH drives a London Black Taxi for a living and would rather not drive on vacation. We have always wanted to see the west coast of America, so this cruise was perfect for us.

We would so love to do this again.

    Come on Celebrity, we're waiting!!

  7. We will be on the Reflection TA in October and would like to book a 3 dinner package but there are only 4 and 5 packages available online.

Do you think they will have one once on board?

We'd rather book on board anyway, because we don't particularly want to have to go to a speciality restaurant on our first night.

  8. As others have said, our TA from Southampton last year titled 'Broadway and Beaches' was seriously diverted and missed the beaches!

We did, however, have a few pool days across the Atlantic which was lovely.

In fact, a couple of days before the minus 7 degrees in New York, we were sunbathing.

We had a fantastic cruise and met the best people and loved every minute of it.

  9. I also wanted to say we have a free drinks package with our Reflection TA in October and we had it last year on our Eclipse TA.
We are from the UK though and it was only offered through Celebrity UK, which makes a change for us to have a perk like this, as we are always jealous of your price drops and special promotions! :D
