In my experience the smoking area in Vibe was at the bar only.

Our favorite spot for sail away is The a Great Outdoors. Great views from both sides of the ship.

Nice quiet night time spot is the Bali High bar outside above pool deck.

Many schools are closed the entire week due to convention and Election Day. I guess it's easier to close the entire week rather than open for Monday and Wednesday.

When I try to make reservations for Escape online, it only gives me 5:30 or 8:30 for any restaurant. I am able to book at different times than those, right? I'm a Norwegian newbie.

That's probably the only times left for pre cruise reservations at those particular venues. The only allow a portion to be booked precruise but there should be more available once you get onboard.

Either wait to reserve until your onboard. Or reserve and then try to change the time onboard.

Given the circumstances you've outline seems like you got a good deal. NCL doesn't normally give any OBC or upgrade under these circumstances.

We've stayed in the cabin twice. No jets in the tub but GREAT views. No reserved seats for shows but we found the reserve section was not the best seats anyway.

You should not have any trouble finding good seats for the shows.

Whenever we've had the strawberries they were always there prior to sail away.

Maybe you should wait to order the cheese until you are onboard so you can get more info on a specific time.

The cheese trays are also on the room service menu.

Yes the promo changed the beginning of Oct to include insides. It only includes cruises up to s certain sail date. I'm not sure the date but believe it was April 2016.

It's worth a try to contact NCL or your TA. They may offer an upgraded cabin at no cost or some OBC. Not a sure thing but it's just a phone call and why not give it a shot.

Are there laundry areas on the ships? I don't remember.

You should all be able to use the Platinum Checkin Line. We've done this several times without issue. Just tell the Rep that you are all together and they'll direct you all to same line.

We've switched around before. For us it was easier to checkin as listed on the reservations and just go to guest services desk after boarding, they reassigned passengers with no trouble, no questions. Just an FYI-switch around your luggage tags so your bags arrive to the correct cabin and you don't have to move them around.

Does the $299 for the cabana include the pass to get in, or are they two separate cost's?

Someone posted in another thread that the 10% OBC deal comes back on the 16th.

My PCC mentioned this to me as well but, didn't give an exact date.

Is it possible to get your keycard punched at the casino? I would love to get this done AND avoid the lines and mayham of guest services.

Not sure about the casino but, I've had it done in the gift shop. Although they are usually not open until after sail away.

I'm not sure if the Breakaway is the same but, the Gem 2bdrm suite had 2 DVD players. 1 in the living room and 1 in the master bdrm.

So I won't have to order for everyone in cabin? I'm just nervous because I am getting conflicting information.

I've always been able to purchase for myself and not DH.

If it won't allow you to go it online, you can call and do it over the phone. Or as others said, wait until onboard.

We were in a suite on the CTN last month on the Gem.

We had a comp bottle of water, bottle of "champagne" and fruit bowl in our room. We also enjoyed the priority embarkation and Cagney's for lunch and breakfast.

Weather permitting, one of your stops will be at NCL's private island..Great Stirrup Cay. This is a private island with beach, swimming, and snorkeling. Should make for a nice "beach day".

You do not need to bring a corkscrew. Being in a Suite, your butler can bring you a corkscrew. If you bring the wine anywhere else on the ship (dining room/bar) they will open it for you.

We also get one every time. We enjoy having a drink while sitting on the balcony. Especially DH while he's waiting for me to finish getting ready for the evening. :)

I wouldn't even think twice about it. Go and enjoy everything that a brand new ship offers. You never know what the future holds for you so don't delay in living life to it's fullest.

Don't pass up the opportunity - go for it! I think experiencing the new ship will out weight any minor glitches.

I agree. Join your roll call, you can a lot of great info from others that will be cruising with you. Many will have been on the ship or to the ports where you are traveling.
