Everything I have read indicates that a passport card is sufficient for travel so long as we do not fly internationally. Princess seems to be demanding a passport book. Any opinions?
I have used my passport card for Princess on several cruises recently from LA and it was fine. However I also bring my passport in case there is a problem while ashore in Mexico.

Sorry if this has been here before but I'm looking to use the Medallion app on my PC and I'm sure someone has posted a link to it, can anyone help?
Personal Information - Login (ocean.com) This is not the total app but an alternative way to enter your pre cruise information (Ocean Ready).

App log-in issues.
So, I don't know who to contact to fix this. I deleted and reloaded the Medallion app to make sure I have the correct app. I have not sailed Princess since Medallion. I had to cancel my last Princess cruise at the last minute so I never got a chance to try it out. When I try to log-in, it says my log-in information is wrong but it's clearly not since I have no problem logging in on the website.
I can access my reservation using the booking number but then, it'll just randomly kick me out.
Can anybody help me out or refer me to who to contact to try to resolve this? I use Android. I see someone mentioned a web-based version of the app?
Thanks!
Jennifer
You can access your cruise on the website which provides an alternative to doing it on the phone app. Go to this page on Princess.com and log in. Get Ready for Your Princess® Cruise - Princess Cruises". Scroll to the a bit and you'll see "Do not have a compatible device? Try our web version. It worked for me while they were updating the app a few weeks ago.

You bring your cell phone in the hot tub with you? You're a brave soul!
I put it on the side and wrap in a towel plus it is water resistant to 15 meters.

I don't believe you have to. I figure I have two good legs and can walk to a bar to order a drink! Although DH usually does that for me.
That is true. However when I'm in the Hot Tub and would like a cold drink it is way easier to order a drink through the Medallion than get out of tub and find a server or go to a bar! Lazy yes, but I'm on vacation and love the convivence.

See the officer board in post #30. The title Maitre D’hotel no longer exists. Since the restart the position is now called Director of Restaurant operations (DORO).
I am aware of that but I thought the new title for the Maître D'hotel was the Hotel General Manager and the regular Maître D' was the Director of Restaurant Operations as you stated.

Hi I hope you are all enjoying your 2nd day onboard. I was wondering if you could find out and post the name of the maître d' for the Sapphire? Thanks.

As I am new to Celebrity, I was wondering where you can find your OBC confirmation? I don't see it on the app nor on the Manage your Reservation page on the website nor the in the EDOCs area. I appreciate your help.

I got an upgrade offer today. Only $17 per day extra! Apparently, another reason not to: Fill in the comments!

Great advice. My question is what is the daily limit with the Classic Drink Package, 🍸?

To Every One who is worried about the medallion app and using it. Do not stress over it as it is not required at the port. It just makes it easier for all and not all can use it due to various reasons.
The medallion piece which is different, you should get 10 days or more before your cruise.
I have been on 3 cruises since Sept. and I did not have any problems at all.
If you do the Princess staff is there to check you in no matter what as long as you have all your required documents, it will just take a few minutes longer.
Once you are on board there is a dedicated Medallion Staff to help you for the intra-ship Medallion system. Also for the Medallion Wi-Fi!
There is no need to stress over your vacation once you have booked. I highly suggest you spend your time researching things to do on your cruise rather than worrying about a new system like I did the first time.
Who wants to worry about going on vacation???

Hi I just called Guest Services on board. They will present Ralph with a cake and song tomorrow at dinner with best wishes from Doris and Dick. They said they will try to track him down if he is not eating in club class tomorrow evening.
I am curious to know if Princess took care of your friend Ralph!

Did you get your medallions by mail before the cruise?
Yes, about ten days before. You can also get it in the terminal.

Would someone that is on the GRAND right now help me?? We were scheduled for this cruise and had to cancel when I tested positive. As of today, I am finally negative!! But--our friend, Ralph is on the cruise alone after 3 of us couples had to cancel. His birthday is tomorrow March 8 and I know he dines in Club Class. So--would someone please notify the CC head waiter to celebrate Ralph's 89th? It would be such a nice surprise. Many many thanks. Doris and Dick

How often are they asking you to wear a mask?
Today we got a letter saying that "masks are still required in select venues and during certain activites, the Theater, Casino, and Medical Center." During our CC Meet and Greet the Asst. Cruise Director said the venues are the entertainment lounges. However as of today everywhere else masks are recommended not required.
As there are more people onboard now, I am wearing mine while walking around crowded areas and the elevators. But that is my choice.

Today went well. After a 90 min drive up the freeway, I parked my car in the World Cruise Center lot quite close to the berth and was onboard 20 minutes later. Tip: If you are driving, drop off your luggage with the stevedores first, then park.
After getting settled I watched the safety video and checked in to my muster station. After a quick burger and fries I checked out the ship until our CC Sailaway get together. I met some very nice people from different parts of the US and we compared notes about upcoming excursions and enjoyed some drinks.
Then it was back to the room to unpack and then attend the Elite Lounge Party. Again, I met some great people with drinks and appetizers.
After a nice dinner instead of going to the theater for the comedy show, I went back to room and watched a movie and then onto the internet.
Tomorrow, we have the Princess hosted CC Meet and Great on the Deck 15 One5 lounge at 11:00am. I'll need to remember to set my clock forward.
It will also be hot tub time to relax and enjoy my book and wander around again. Also, as it is formal night so I'm undecided to eat in the DR or Buffet.
According to those in the know we have about 1200 passengers aboard so it is not too crowded at all.
Time to say goodnight!

Well, we leave tomorrow so I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread describing our experiences onboard this cruise and onshore. As we have almost 50 people from CC with us and possibly more there will be many different points of view.
I got my Covid test done yesterday at my local CVS and am good to go. Now to pack.
I will be leaving tomorrow from the San Diego area and parking in the World Cruise Center lot. At $20 a day it is a bit pricy, but it is LA. I have early boarding status so I should be in my cabin before noon. We are having an informal Sailaway get together at the Alfresco Bar on the Lido Deck(14) Aft at 3pm or so. If you are on the ship come join us.
All others not with us, feel free to ask questions and we will answer if we can.
Stay tuned Folks!

Hi I will be on the 2/28/22 Grand on the same itinerary. I am wondering if the Aft Terrace pool is/was open during your cruise as it is by the Covid Aloha Deck 12.
Thanks.

Was the scantuary full on the sailing ? Do you know of they did anything special when doing the canal??
I only saw 2-3 people there when I checked it out as there were open areas all over the ship.
We did get a narration from the Bridge that lasted from beginning to end with a few breaks as we made the transit.
We also got a Princess Commemorative Certificate "Celebrating our First Panama Canal Transit of 2021.

To those onboard:
Well gang it has been 13 days so far. Would anyone be interested in meeting again at the Outrigger Bar on Friday our last day at about 3:30-4pm for a sail-back get together. I thought it might be interesting to compare notes on our different cruise experience's as we have certainly had them on this cruise.

This is a very nice thought, and I don't want to seem negative, but before the Pandemic you could buy Toblerone Bars on the ship, so it is a nice thought, but not something they cannot get themselves. Something that they cannot get on-board would be more special.
I was told by crew members that they were not allowed to buy from the guest shop that has Toblerone Bars as they had their own crew shop and that Toblerone Bars were not stocked there. Sheilalyn and Allan at the Outrigger Bar Aft would love one.

Does the Emerald Princess have a dedicated mini golf course or just a green space usable for several different activities?
Dedicated areas for putting, lawn bowling and croquet on Deck 19.

Pescado Amarillo stated in her blog that it wasn't planned that way. Apparently, the people that do the job couldn't get visas until now.
Yes, but there is a 6 day gap from when we reach Port Everglades until the Emerald sails again, which would have worked better for us the guests.

Thanks for the great shot of my aft balcony Lol. I love to book inside aft cabins on the Riviera deck 14, a little walk and a few steps up and I’m on my huge balcony. I don’t mind sharing it with others 😆
Your Aft Balcony has been closed as of Tuesday night and probably the next several days as they decided to replace the deck during their first cruise instead of before or after. More than a few are upset about it including myself. I'm in the an aft cabin too on the Riviera deck for the same reason.
