The Royal Caribbean website has Serenade on the dry dock schedule for 2017. Could possibly be that.
Or CruiseCal doesn't have the itineraries.
I can't be sure.
Thank you...dry dock would make sense. I might avoid a cruise on Serenade then around that time just in case.

I noticed there is a gap from Novemeber 1st and 17th with Serenade. Could it be that this site hasn't loaded those cruises yet?
-
Does anyone know if they are keeping it as a CL or is it turning into a SL?
-
Does anyone know why Serenade has dropped Tortola from the 10 day cruise? Was really hoping to go there :(
-
Serenade though April 2018 now showing on Cruisecal
When do you anticipate we will see on Royal website? First thing Monday I am hoping!
-
Carl, I called RC and booked it on faith from you. LOL I'll check out the pics and video later. Thanks for sharing that!
We were in 8168 last fall.......awesome balcony!

Will the Hawaii itineraries get released with the Caribbean or Australia dates? Sorry if this has been taken about already.

Announcing the world premier of my cruise video!;)
The cruise was a B2B on Serenade of the Seas from January 4-25, 2016. The first cruise was 11 days and the second one was 10 days. I crammed a lot of information into this video. Hope you enjoy it. If you have any question, just ask. :)

Hi Bill,
Great video! We are sailing the 11 day route in March. We too are aft cabin lovers 😊 I was going to ask you if you knew the menu rotation but I see you went to all specialty restaurants......lucky you!
Thanks,
Donna

Thanks for the information so far. I guess the vibration will affect some people more than others. Obviously, from what I'm reading, Deck 7 in general, seems to be noisier than other decks because of so many bars, theater, etc below.
Maybe staying on the 9th deck with our current cabin, or hoping for a different cabin on the 9th or 8th deck is a better option if something opens up.
We were in cabin 8168 and loved it! There was some vibration but nothing overly bothersome. The corner aft balconies are the best :)

Hi Jane,
How did the Serenade compare to the Jewel? I know Jewel is one of your favourites. Does Serenade have the special Diamond plus area in the MDR? Do you know who the Concierge in the CL might be in March? We had such a good time with Diego and Joseph on Jewel this past fall. Diego was amazing even with his broken wrist/hand. I heard they quit the aerial shows in the Centrum.....is this true?
Thank you,
Donna

We were just on the Jewel and they had my hubby and I pay the first night for both restaurants. We ate night 1 in Chops and night 5 in Portofino. It did not have to be the 2nd night for Portofino. I'm not sure if all ships will do this though.
My suggestion is to wait and book once you board the ship to apply the coupon...much easier and less confusing than online.

We just got off the Jewel this past Sunday. The "free" offerings were only on Sea Days and then the "Burgers and Brew" for $10 was on Port Days. We went twice on the sea days and thoroughly enjoyed the service and food.

Hi Jane,
I love your photo reviews and really appreciate all the time and effort you put into them for all of us to enjoy.
My DH and I are heading on the Jewel November 8th for the very first time when you are disembarking her. We missed you by one week :( I am really looking forward to Jewel, and we just made Diamond Plus so we will be sure to enjoy the Concierge lounge and Diego as I have heard so many good things about him.
Enjoy Jewel soon and then Serenade in December :) I will be extremely interested in your Serenade review as we sail next on her for 11 glorious days in March.
Thanks again!

It is much more inland. We've used it in June and friends have used it just a couple of weeks ago. We were very pleased with them. Check out the posts about it on this thread. I put some pretty specific directions for getting to it. Best part, with a "Parkwiz" coupon, we paid less than $50 to park for the week. I don't know if booking this close to the departure date is going to give you as good a price, but even at a higher price, I think it's till cheaper than parking at the pier and safer.
Thank you. I will wait it out until tomorrow when I'm in NJ and then decide once there is a clearer picture on the storm tracking.

Is this parking area inland a bit? Someone mentioned when Sandy hit the coast that cars were in bad shape at the Port but their car was fine at Premier Parking.

We are embarking Liberty of the Seas this Saturday with the possibility of hurricane Joaquin making landfall south of NJ. I need a back up plan for parking our car as I heard horror stories with Hurricane Sandy and flooding at the Port.
We are currently booked at a non-refundable hotel in Parispanny on Friday night. Can anyone please offer us suggestions on parking for our vehicle and transportation to the Port in case we don't want to keep our car at Port Liberty. Am I crazy to think it is unwise to keep our car at the Port or should I wait this out a bit longer?
Thank you

I'm on that sailing too and praying we don't end up in Canada !!! I did this 3 years ago during Sandy and they sailed right through the eye. It was horrible. But once we got to Bermuda if was beautiful. Right now the forecast doesn't look good. Heavy sigh! But I'd rather be wet in Bermuda than freezing in Canada !
Ha ha......it's not that freezing here but I don't want to go back to Canada either!!
-
We are heading out on Liberty on Saturday to Bermuda......hope we can get away before the storm and still make it there. Looks like the hurricane might make landfall south of the NJ area early next week.....hope all is good at the Port Liberty upon our return!!

Thanks for the info. We pass the PO on our walk from the ferry to the Visitors Center so that would still be a convenient location to purchase a book of tickets. :)
Hi Mitsugirly! Did you have any issues on purchasing your ticket booklets in St. George's? Do they sell the children's booklet there as well for $9.50?
-
I would also go to Palm Beach in Aruba.Another vote for Palm Beach in Aruba
Where on Palm Beach do you go?
-
Do you know who the Diamond Concierge was for Liberty?
-
Does anyone know who the Diamond Concierge is now on Liberty?

11 Night Southern Caribbean, Serenade in March
We are on the same cruise as you and booked JetBlue @ 1135 from FLL to BUF. We will do self assist as we always do so I'm sure we will be fine. How early is your flight?
-
Why did they not have In the Air? I thought this show was always on Liberty. That is very disappointing :(
