Can't do it as we have 4 cruises on the Jewel starting about the same time and then our two "free" Ambassador cruises after those. As soon as we get home from all those the knee will be done!!! It was put off from last December as we had all the cruises booked.
I also have to be off Prednisone for three months before the Orthopaedic surgeon will operate and we have started the process of quantity reduction.
Good luck but after you have had it done you will be happy. The Jade cruise at the end of 2022 from Athens to Cape Town was three months after I had a hip replacement. I made it trekking over all those fabulous ruins with no pain. 🙂
See you soon on the Jewel.
I have a few cruises already booked; the 2nd annual Latitudes cruise at the end of Sept. on the Bliss, Alaska itinerary; the SE Asia itinerary that includes India on the Sky in March 2025 and the Barcelona to Cape Town itinerary on the Dawn in Nov 2025. I am also eyeing B2B sailing on the Jade in Feb/Mar 2026. Miami to Lima and then Lima to San Diego.

What a wonderful adventure! What is the name of this excursion and was this NCl or privately arranged? I'm sorry if this was asked/answered already.... I'm so excited for our 1st Alaska Cruise on the Jewel this May for my "BIG" Birthday Celebration 😉
Absolutely fantastic! I am on the Jewel for Japan, the transpacific & the Alaska cruises this March/April. I have this excursion booked and I can't wait!

Thank you to everyone for their feedback we have decided now to look at a new cruise
Can Anyone shed some light on whether this would be an excellent cruise to book, both in terms of the ships and the itinerary.
17-DAY CRUISE ON NORWEGIAN JADE
South America : Cabo & Trujillo
from Lima (Callao), Peru
$4,087PP / AUDThis is bucket list and might be the last time we ever leave Australia due to circumstances , many thanks in advance receipt of your advices one and all x
I have done the Antarctica cruise on Celebrity. It was round trip out of Buenos Aires. I would say that it was one of the best experiences in my travel. Nothing compares to the Antarctica sailing. Buenos Aires is a fascinating city which benefits from a few days either before or after the cruise. I have wanted to sail the western side of South America for some time. I am eying this itinerary on the Jade but starting in Miami to Lima and then Lima to San Diego, sailing in Feb/Mar 2026

Iceland would be wonderful if all the kids are interested in spectacular scenery.
Look at some of the Africa itineraries; South Africa has incredible wild animal excursions and the kids would love them.

Ours was Lisbon, Canary Islands, Morocco. We also got our cruise first certificates back yesterday when the original cruise finally disappeared. If your deposit was via credit card, it may take up to two weeks (from what my PCC has said).
I did that cruise this past Spring. It was wonderful. Enjoy!

Were you able to find a replacement cruise for the India itinerary?

I don't know if anyone has any bright ideas, but I am unable to login to the app (on an older Samsung phone). I have no problems logging into the website, but when I use the same info on the app, it tells me that there is an "incorrect username or password".
I had that same error message yesterday, every time I tried to log on on the website. I cleared cookies and it finally worked.

Did the cancellation notice give a reason? I imagine I'll be getting one of those soon.
Redeployment.

Just got the cancellation notice from NCL! The March 28th and the April 12th are cancelled!
I also had a separate European cruise for July of 2025 on the Sun cancelled. Needless to say I am not happy.

We have Auckland to Istanbul booked, and they still appear in the account,
Today we had four 10% off vouchers added to each of our accounts, without any explanation. These are normally added after a cancellation. There are four cruises between Singapore and Istanbul.
So it looks very likely we'll get a notice soon that the cruises after Singapore are officially cancelled.
I just checked and I too have 3 vouchers in my account, but no notice from NCL yet.

We booked a while back the Sun from Auckland through to Istanbul in March to May 2025 (6 cruises b2b).
That includes trips in the middle east and even a turnaround day in Haifa so it's not a surprise that only the first two of those cruises are now shown, as far as Singapore.
I wonder if the Sun will stay in Asia for the northern summer 2025? Or head to Alaska again?
I too am booked on the Sun from Auckland to Dubai in 2025. I actually chose this after numerous Australia cancellations and also because the ship is visiting India. I have been wondering about the tail end of my 4 cruises sailing to Saudi Arabia and if that itinerary would be changed.
By the way I thoroughly enjoyed your posts from the Jewel Transpacific which I will be doing next year.

I saw some on the November Latitudes offers. Some itineraries offer an additional point above the Latitudes point.

Kudos to the Captain! This kindness saved lives.

Can't wait to follow along with you. I am sailing on the Jewel next Spring B2B2B Japan, Transpacific, Alaska.
-
I am doing a B2B2B on the Jewel next year; Japan/Transpacific/Alaska,
then in 2025 I am doing a B2B2B2B on the Sun; Auckland to Bali (visiting Australia) Bali to Singapore, Singapore to Doha (visiting India) and Doha to Dubai (visiting Saudi Arabia) This series of cruises fell in to place as a result of the Spirit Australia itineraries being cancelled. I am looking forward to it, so many exciting ports to visit.

My husband and I are considering booking an NCL Sun cruise and are unsure of what to expect since it’s an older ship. We are in our 30s and not particularly interested in waterslides or go carts, but still expect good amenities and dining options. Has anyone sailed on the NCL Sun recently and care to share their experience? Thanks in advance for any info!
I was just on the Sun for a wonderful itinerary out of Lisbon visiting ports in Spain, Morocco, Ceuta, the Canary Islands. The ship was lovely, the food was good. Interesting little fact, this ship has the theater in the stern as opposed to the bow. I actually enjoyed the smaller size very much. I am currently booked on a B2B sailing of the Sun in 2025; Singapore to Doha and Doha to Dubai. It will visit India which is a bucket-list destination for me. 🙂

it looks interesting. I plan to go with it.
Hope it helps you to discover.
I've booked this cruise as well along with the next one continuing to Dubai as a result of my Australia cruises being cancelled. India is a place I've always wanted to visit so I am happy.

We will be dining at Moderno the first night on our upcoming cruise on the Jade next week. 🙂

I did the U.S. Navy version as a Marine aboard USS Reagan everyone got a shellback card, but we didnt just wake up to it in our suites there was hell to pay, good times looking back now. I'm sure the cruise ship version is far different than the aircraft carrier version.
My husband was a Marine serving aboard the Oklahoma City back during the Vietnam era. We lived in Japan for two years. He said they had quite an initiation ceremony.
