  1. This is exactly what we plan on doing. If we can't do it then we'll go to guest services after we board. I hope we can do it on check in though.
  2. This is the reason we would just like to do a cash account. We've had charges show up after we've left the ship that's been a pain to get removed. We will just close our account the last night to make sure there are no charges and that's it.
  3. My wife and I are looking into setting up a cash account once we board Odyssey this weekend? What is the best way to go about this and how much cash do they require? Thank you for any info.
  4. We just booked the 8 nights on the Odyssey ... and decided to upgrade a little to the Junior Suite for a little extra room. Thank you everyone for chiming in and helping with our decision. 🙂
  5. 2b GS that I've priced has always been cheaper then the CLS. I'm not sure about the OS.
  6. The 2 bedroom Grand Suites seem to be very nice and spacious with 2 bathrooms also.
  7. We were just going to fly in the night before. We are leaning heavily towards Odyssey. Seems alot of people love this class of ship.
  8. We kinda narrowed down our next cruise to either... 1. Jewel OTS Grand Suite for 6 nights out of San Juan to Ft. Lauderdale. Stops are Philipsburg, St. Maarten ... Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas ... and Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevisat. We would have to get a 1 way flight to San Juan (which isn't that big a deal) and our son would just pick us up at Ft Lauderdale. (We live in Sarasota, Florida) 2. Odyssey OTS Ocean View Balcony for 8 nights out of Ft Lauderdale. Stops are Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas ... Oranjestad, Aruba ... Willemstad, Curacao. We are in our 50s and it will just be my wife and I cruising. We like the casino, bingo, eating and going to a few shows. We like hanging in our cabin relaxing also on the balcony. We have never been to any of these ports including San Juan PR. Thank you so much for any advise you can offer. 🙂
  9. Thanks to all the great advice here we decided to upgrade to CLS 1756 for our upcoming cruise. We are super excited!! Thank you to EVERYONE!! 🙂
  10. This is great info thank you so much. We are leaning towards getting the Crown Loft Suite.
  11. Thank you EVERYONE so much!! We are leaning towards getting the Crown Loft. You only live once right? LOL
  12. 1702 and 1756 are still available and they are both side suites. From my research it seems they may have a little smaller balconies but that doesn't bother us.
  13. Not to purchase outright. Only through RoyalUp at $740 min bid.
  14. The price for us to upgrade is $800. I was just mentioning that even the Royal Up minimum bid is $1500. You guys don't even think it's worth it for the $800?
  15. My wife and I are booked in a Grand Suite on Allure in Oct for 5 nights for our 25th Anniversary. Grand Suite Cabin #8260 on Allure of the Seas. We've been talking about upgrading to the Crown Loft Suite and we were just seeing opinions from everyone if it would be worth it. It's about $800 for us to upgrade (min bid for Royal up is $750 each so $1500 total). Thank you so much for any advice or opinions.
  16. The reservations for shows just opened up on our app for our Oct cruise on Allure. Should we make reservations now on there or just wait till we get contacted by our concierge for the reservations? We are in a Grand Suite on Allure of the Seas. Thank you
  17. Thank you. As of right now we are in GS 8528 which is the farthest forward Grand Suite on the Deck 8 starboard side. I'm seriously considering either downgrading to a Junior Suite on Deck 7 or even a Oceanview Balcony on another quieter deck.
  18. Thank you very much. Maybe we should change our room. We really wanted the Grand Suite (we just love them) but if it's going to be that noisy I don't think it's going to be worth it. Maybe we should try to switch it for a JS on Deck 7 in the AFT
  19. I see that most of the complaints are from over 8 years ago so maybe RCI fixed this and it's not an issue anymore?
  20. My wife and I just booked a GS 8528 on the Enchantment for a 7 Night Western cruise in March 2024. After reading some posts about noise it really has me worried. Should we try to change to somewhere completely different? Is the noise THAT bad? My wife and I are in our 50s and enjoy staying in our cabins, reading, napping and relaxing on the balcony. We can bring ear plugs and a sound machine but we definitely need our sleep. Lol. Is it too loud for even that? Thank you for any advise you can give us.
  21. We decided to just pull the trigger and upgrade to the GS. The perks on the Oasis class ships helped us make the decision. We got Cabin 8260 which seems like a great cabin on the 8th deck. Thank you 🙂
  22. We paid $2474 for our Balcony cabin and yes we planned on skipping over the JS for either the GS or the CLS because of the Perks and price wasn't that much more. Thank you
  23. Thank you so much!! It's not available yet but we will keep watching for it.
  24. My wife and I are booked on Allure of the Seas for Oct 25-30. This is our 4th cruise with RC and we were thinking about trying to upgrade our Large Ocean Balcony (Cabin 8194) to one of the Royal Suites. There are still quite a few available on our sailing. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary. 🙂 What is the best way/time to go about trying to get a deal on the upgrade? Thanks in advance for any info.
