Those are a poly cotton blend. I thought the cdc said cotton was better.

That's what I heard too but after I wore the flimsy 3 layers of 100 % cotton masks my friend gave me, I switched to these and didn't look back. These masks are thick, high quality and beautiful. I've been wearing them for the last 8 months and always feel safer 😊

Just an FYI . As of November Southwest will also be flying in and out of MIA in addition to FLL . We'll probably decide which one once a hotel decision is made . We're on the February 2022 Bliss Miami to Los Angeles .

Wow, great news.I did not know that. Thank you😃

7666 will hold 3 but the triangle in this case does not mean sofabed.  It means the cabin will hold 3.

Checking deck plans from 2020 it does appear as if that cabin does have a sofabed.

I just called and switched to this room. The lady who helped me confirmed that there is a sofa bed. thankfully. Thank you for your help!

Sometimes the change in classification due to number of guests is dependent on life boat space. They may have found that they had extra space on the boat involved, so they reclassified the room to accomodate another passenger,

That is good to know. Thank you🙂

Not sure they would have let you move to a cabin that wouldn't hold the three of you booked. Unless you're traveling with an under age 2 infant that will use the pack-n-play...Found this out when it applied to a family member we were cruising with.

Thanks, my grandson will be 5 by the time of our sailing. It was my fault to switched to this room without double check the deck plan. I will call them today.

A couple things.  Starting in May 2021 the * means that the stateroom hold 4 guests.  After May 2021 Royal no longer tells you the bed type and there are no Pullmans on Symphony balconies.

More importantly is that Royal has mistakenly classified cabin 7590 as a 5D which means that it holds 3 or more guests.  prior to may 2021 it was classified as a 4D which could only hold 2 guests.  Maybe they added a Sofabed but my money is on a mistake.  I would call and move to a different room.

Thank you. I will call them today .I have my eye on cabin 7666. I think it should be okay for us since it has a triangle key ( Sofa bed ) ?

  7. Hi all, when I did the Lift and Shift for our Symphony cruise in 2022 they gave me cabin 6590. I was worried that it is going to be noisy room because it is on top of Boreros so I called and switched to 7590. Then today I take a close look at the deck plan, 6590 have this "Pullman bed Stateroom has third Pullman bed available" while 7590 doesn't have any key indicator that the room will have a sofa or not. We will have 3 people to stay in this room. Did I make a mistake by moving to 7590? Thanks in advance

Lol sometimes cheaper. I just found out I got one accidentally... didnt see it on deck plans, just looked for cheapest most mid deck... and it's a quad

Didnt know until my TA mentioned it a week later. 3 weeks booked, one date quads are cheaper than 2 people cabins, I'd have to pay extra to move to a regular cabin.

I think whatever they got too much of is cheapest.

I'm keeping a eye on it, if I can move for free I will, but not paying extra.

I've about decided that rcl pricing is crazy, no logic. A 6d balcony $60 cheaper than a 2D, etc. There seems to be no logic that i can figure out.

But seems I'm guilty of booking not only a connecting cabin but it's a quad. Hoping to move without extra cost. But that sailing rcl is pushing quads.

I'm the same way! Didn't know about connecting rooms until we had one years ago and the people on the other side kept wiggling the door knob and only stopped when we asked them to through the door  😂

My brother's family also booked a pair of connecting rooms for their Europe cruise next year and found out that they have to pay more. That's when I finally realized that they indeed charge you more now if you want those rooms lol.

And I agree that Royal's prices can be unpredictable because of varied supply and demand. Imagine how confused I was when I booked our first cruise on Mariner back in 2006 where the Junior Suites were cheaper than balcony cabins 😆 Hope that you can move to a better room without paying extra. Good luck!

Why are cruises more expensive when calling up to book?

I've just called to ask about our options for a family of 5 on Liberty of the seas.

I was quoted £5816 for the 2 bed grand suite, yet online its £4755 for a family of 4 (with it being £819 per child)

I then asked about 2 connecting balcony rooms, they came in at £3924, yet when I work it out online with an EXTRA adult it comes in £20 CHEAPER!!

How can it be cheaper for 6 (3 adults, 3 children) online and more expensive for a family of 5 over the phone 😞

Connecting rooms are more expensive .

Care to share what your rate is?

I got it for $224 + tax = $253 for a room with 2 queens for 3 people. I think it's not bad for January in Miami ? My nephew booked Hampton for his early December stay and it is $340 +.

  11. Just booked our stay at this hotel for next January and got a great rate. Normally we would stay at Fort Lauderdale hotels before a cruise out of Miami, but we had a bad stay at Riverside hotel last November. After seeing how Embassy Suite and Hyatt Place's at Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port prices are around $270 and up, I checked out Hampton Inn and was surprised to get a much lower price. If anyone is interested, I booked with the rate America Resident rate.

  12. My husband and I went on Allure back in November and had similar experiences as well! We went to the main dining room for breakfast / lunch and for 2 days in a row, one of the head waiters kept bothering us with sales pitches and suggesting that we go on the Gallery Tour. He gave us a flyer, which we took to be polite, only to have him come back 5 minutes later to ask us if we decided to take the tour. We told him that we would go on the tour because we actually ended up being interested and so he wouldn't bother us again.

However, I have to say the highly promoted tour ended up being a waste of money. The chef was talking nonstop the entire time and did not really show us anything behind the scenes in the kitchen. When it was time for them to feed us after the tour, we were waiting forever because no one came to take our orders. A very funny lady at our table had to stand up with a napkin twirling in the air to get the waiter's attention. The waiter came and asked us what we needed and the lady said, "FOOD! Are you guys going to feed us or do we need to go to Windjammer?" 😂. That night when we went to dinner, our waiter asked if we were interested in taking the tour, then not long after our head waiter had the same sales pitch! We told him that we already went to the gallery tour and he looked a little mad then walked away 😆. We had dinner at Windjammer the last night and it was much nicer and more peaceful.
