* Initial expected number of passengers for this NYE sailing was 3,200...guest services said, due to last minute cancellations, it is now approximately 1,800 passengers.
Wow quite a drop.. I'm really hoping that the Jan 13 sailing which you gave as 2300 will drop to that level.. maybe an update before debarking? Your updates are great! Also really hoping Oceans Adventure will remain open.. fingers crossed..

Taglovestocruise.. We are going on Jan 13th. Important question.. is the Adventure Oceans kids facility open? I'm glad to see there seems to be no cancelations of activities yet.. Please keep us posted! Thanks!

Nothing cancelled for this cruise.
Pools and slides open.
Windjammer open for dinner...current capacity per guest services is 2600+.
We did notice that during the Disco Inferno party at Studio B held last night...no Village People performed on stage. First time we've seen VP not perform...the dance floor was still full of passengers enjoying the 3 entertaiment staff on stage.
Did it seem crowded to you at that capacity? Normal? It was so empty on Dec 13th almost eerie.
We are still hoping to go. Sounds like you had a great time.

Onboard the Navigator now...guest services said that the anticipated passenger capacity for Jan. 14th is 2200.
Oh thanks so much! I looked up passenger capacity at 3386 and I'm guessing more people will cancel since we just got "the letter" Just wondering what they may be cancelling (adventure ocean, shows?) Have the pools and slides remained open?
Weird thing is they are still booking for Jan 14th!!

On Navigator or all ships in general?

No
It's not a holiday, so I would assume it's pretty low. But...
Actually it is.. MLK 3 day weekend for schools in CA anyway..

We are booked on the Navigator OTS January 14th in CA. We just got a letter warning of changes in protocols and potential limits on activities. Thing is, we really want to go if the ship is low capacity. We were on the Dec. 13 sailing at less than 50% and it was great!

I just received this also for my Jan 17th Mexican Riviera cruise.
Navigator OTS? We are going on Jan 14 3 day... and haven't heard anything.
-
Are they sending out notices if you booked with a TA? Anyone get one from Navigator OTS? We are booked on Jan 14, a 3 day from L.A.
-
We are booked for January 14 on the Navigator in LA. They are still accepting bookings which means
A: The ship has very low occupancy
B: They are hoping to fill as best they can.
Just because they have limited rooms available, I wonder if they have blocked out other rooms.
Hard to speculate.

That would be great. We are also on a 3 nighter, so it's not the end of the world if there isn't much with regard to Kid's Club stuff. There's not really 'kid-friendly' excursions in Ensenada either, so we plan to walk around the port area on our own (10 year old is fully vaxxed) and then enjoy time on the ship.
Sorry for the delay.. The kids section was open, but not many kids, maybe 4 so I couldn't get a feel for it. What cruise date are you going? We are still planning on Jan 14 sailing.

Thank you for your report. If I had not already had a cruise in Dec. with RC, I would have canceled. However we had quite the opposite experience with one big difference. We are in California. We took the Navigator of the Seas Dec. 13 for a short 3 day cruise out of Los Angeles. All entertainment was open, Ship was at maybe 40% capacity. Only unvaxed were children. Mask wearing was never an issue as everyone was compliant which led to a perfectly enjoyable cruise. We are also booked with family in mid January and are hoping for a similar experience.

We used CVS tests for our Dec. 13 cruise (CA) Very simple, easy, quick.

We were on the sailing previous to this with only about 30% being full. Despite chilly weather, most pools were open as well as slides. Windjammer was closed for dinner, but MDR was only 30% full so easy to get window seating! Felt safe onboard with protocols.

We are boarding the Navigator tomorrow for a 3 day. We are also going on Jan 14 with son, DIL and 2 grandkids so we are going to check out the kids activities. I will report when we return.

In May, the price is SIXTY TWO DOLLARS. 😮
This is only good through tonight but only for this cruise as far as I know. Dec. 14, 3 day.

A 3 day cruise in December is $44/day on Navigator OTS out of LA on sale, but it won't let me have that price on a Cruise in Jan. same itinerary...

Hi I apologize if this has been covered but not successful in my searches.
We are considering the Deluxe Beverage package but are unclear if it includes espressos and cappuccinos like in the Cafe Promenade.. I know it doesn't include Starbucks,
It just says premium coffee and teas, but non specific. Thanks!

We just signed up for a 3 day in January, MLK weekend.. We have 4 birthdays that month so here we go! We've been on HAL, Princess, Celebrity.. RC once on a reposition from Hawaii. I have to admit it was the most fun we've had on a ship. We will be going multi generational so hoping a good fit! Great price too! We too are looking forward to the waterslides
-
We just booked a short trip on RC's Navigator of the Seas. Can we expect to be able to use the waterslides and spash pads in January? We are sailing out of Los Angeles. Weather can be iffy but want to try them?

Correct and we have found that often they put a small strip of paper with a percentage off in an envelope on the desk that explains Blu dining procedures. Our experience is that they do this most often for the specialties on the first night. Problem with that was Blu for awhile did filet mignon on the first day.I'm sorry, but what are they giving percentage off on? Alternative dining? We will be experiencing Aqua Class for the the first time this fall and would love to know the "ropes"

Flu is the reason most people book Aqua cabins. The fare is a bit lighter is style and the setting more intimate. As already said, would suggest you try Blu and then decide.
We found the food and service in Blu excellent in the past. A step up from the MDR and close to the specialty restaurants where our experiences have varied from magnificent to just barely ok.
Important to note that none of us has any idea as to how the restaurants will handle social distancing. Tables blocked off or removed? Extendend dining hours? Everyone with an assigned time and table? No predictions as to what will happen
We booked Aqua class for that reason. Do you know if Blue has room service? Maybe an option with social distancing and all? Got our vaccines but still cautious.
No balconies available on Zaandam Mexico cruise March 25 2023?
in Holland America Line

I am looking at the Sea of Cortez cruise on the Zaandam March 25 2023 and while there are plentiful inside, ocean view and suite cabins available, not one balcony? I find it hard to believe that is the case. Does any one know if it is a charter/private booking of some sort? I have been watching a couple of months now
