  1. I really wish I saw this before my cruise....

Just bought an invicta watch on board, saw the huge mark up of $799 and that they were selling it for $179. Since I loved the watch I bought it right away. I stumbled upon this forum and decided to do some digging. Apparently the same exact watch is sold on amazon for $83 cheaper! Won't be able to go through the price match since internet pricing is excluded. Fool me once, shame on me. Buying jewelry on the ship WON'T be happening again. I actually made a comment to my girlfriend that those people were like ridiculous used car salesmen. You'd think cruise lines would partner with a more reliable and customer focused company.:(

This isn't a cruise line thing, it's an Invicta thing. Look on Amazon or any other site- the MSRP will be crazy. I got a watch for DH that was listed as $3k or something ridiculous...bought it for about $300. I was going to get it appraised and my jeweler said she couldn't find it anywhere for more than $400.

  2. OP, I have a couple of questions. :)

What does concierge lounge access include? I don't drink so I am hoping there will be good coffee involved. :p

    Thank you! :)

I'd like to know this as well. We've got my DF's parents in there and they definitly enjoy a drink, especially when they are free.

  3. I think it's ridiculous that people are saying adults shouldn't go to the character breakfasts. Why not? I mean, going to ALL of them is a bit much, but it's a perk that everyone pays for as part of the crusie fare. Dreamworks movies aren't just for kids, they are very much adult cartoons with a lot of humor that only adults get.

If I had kids and found out it was full, I would be mad at myself for not booking it earlier, NOT the other people who had the forethought to do so.

  4. We used Rudy on oour recent Panama Canal cruise and it a was perfect trip when we stopped in Acapulco.

Rudy communicated thouroly prior to the cruise. He personally met us on the dock. He assigned a driver by the name of Marco for our private tour. Marco was professional and polite. Because we had toured Acapulco before, we set our own destination for most of the tour. Marco did the rest and it was great!

I highly recommend this group for a tregular or private tour.

Good to know- I am booked with Rudy in November...really looking forward to it. He won't be able to conduct the tour himself, but I'm sure all of his people are great.

  5. What difference does it make how obstructed it is? You're getting a balcony for only 30 a person more! That's a steal! Go for it. Obstructed usually means lifeboats beside or under but you still have a view and can sit outside.

I know, and $30 is nothing...but, the one balcony I had was an extended balcony, so that's what I'm used to. I don't want to show up to my room and have a view of a lifeboat, whereas with an OV I could have view of actual ocean.

  6. I am getting ready to book on the Spirit 11/28 sailing. ES is $479 for an OV (6A) or $509 for an obstructed view balcony (7A). I'm leaning towards the 7A, but was wondering just how obstructed the view is. Thanks in advance for any advice.
