  1. Hi All,

Just got back from the Breeze yesterday. Did an 8 day cruise going to St. Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan and Grand Turk. Went with my sister which was so fun!

Pre-Cruise: Stayed at Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon, Excellent staff and very comfortable beds. Took a $10pp shuttle to the cruiseport.

When we got to the cruiseport we had to wait in line almost 2 hrs til we got inside the ship bc the ship got a late clearing from customs. It was so hot luckily we packed an umbrella in the hand luggage so we were ok. They started handing out water bottles as well b/c of the heat. Someone actually passed out in the line in outside.

Weather was beautiful the whole trip, can't complain. Stayed on Deck 1 towards the front of the ship. DID NOT FEEL MOVEMENT AT ALL. Excellent location - Deluxe OV cabin - with 2 bathrooms. One with a shower and tub and one with a standup shower and toilet. Both had sinks. It was great! Would definitely try to stay in a room like this again.

Food was excellent in the MDR. Loved the service and the waiters were so friendly. The waiters encouraged us to try different foods. This was my 4th time on Carnival and I tried some food that I never did before during dinner which worked out really well:) Actually all the staff we encountered on Board were so nice and helpful.

Few key items that we loved from MDR dinner:

    - Bitter and blanc dessert

    - Seseme Chicken Salad (app)

    - Chicken Mushroom Fettuccine

    - St. louis style ribs

    - Creme Brulee (dessert)

    - Jerk Pork Loin

    - White Chocolate bread pudding

    - Baked Alaska

    - Penne Mariscos

    - Half Roasted Chicken

    -Turkey dinner

Note: My sister went on the Breeze in Jan and she noticed a huge improvement in food quality this past cruise which was good.

The buffet lunch was ok - but since there were so many options we didn't stress too much. Loved Guys Burgers and Blue Iguana and of course the free Italian Cucina del Capitano for lunch. We enjoyed being able to do "take out" or dine in pasta lunch made to order.

Enjoyed the Sea Day Brunch - strongly recommend the huevos rancheros. Never had it before and it turned out to be my fav thing on the menu! actually it was a close 2nd to the double choc brownie (*definitely ask for ice cream with it- it makes it even more amazing!)

    As for ports:

St. Maarten: Took the water taxi into town 7 dollars pp for an all day pass. Went to Great Bay beach for the first time. If you go - go to the left of the pier in front of Burger Madness the beach is nicer with free wifi in most of the restaurants.

St. Kitts: We did a tour through Thenford Grey. It was ok. It was our first time so that is why we booked a tour but honestly probably wouldn't do another tour. Nothing too much to see in the town, I would just go straight to the beach. We went to Cockleshell Beach as part of the tour. The scenic drive to the beach was worth it - took about 35-40 min each way. Just beautiful mountains and oceans. Free wifi at Reggae beach bar.

San Juan: We only had 1/2 day here so we just went shopping. there is a Free Trolley that takes you around the town. Go to stop number 14 to the left as you get off the ship b/c that is the last stop and you can get a seat. Go early as you can. We rode the trolley about 3 times just bc we were there early and the shops weren't open but by the 3rd time people were getting upset b/c the trolleys were full and they were waiting more than 1/2 hour to get on. You can totally walk to the shopping area and the forts but it was soo hot that we didn't bother. We did walk back to the ship after shopping which was a 5 min walk.

Grand Turk : Beach day! Had drinks at Margaritaville and enjoyed our last port!

    About the ship:

-Easy to walk about and see everything easily

    - Very diverse crowd on board which was nice, lots of groups and families

    - Shows were ok, enjoyed Motown and Hasbro show

    - Past Guest Party was fun

-Cruise Director Matt Micham was hilarious

    - Comedy shows were ok but you had to be there early for Adult Shows - about 20-25 min to get a seat

    - Loved the Ocean Plaza area on deck 5 so relaxing, do check it out

    - Played trivia a few times which was great

-Chef Demo was fun as well

    - Tried Mongolian wok, was not that great, wish there were more Chinese and Thai options

So thats all for now, I tried to make this a quick read but if you have any questions I will be more than happy to help!

    HAPPY CRUISING!

  2. Things have changed this year, the area is built up, the restrooms are open year round and there are concession stands as well. There's even a stage set up for local music during spring break and high season.

    Hi,

How is the beach area itself? is it clean? Is the water for the most part calm or rough? Going there in march :) thanks for your help!

  3. Hi,

First time in Nassau in March.

I have been reading all the threads on Nassau beaches and trying to decide which beach to spend most of the day.

I'm looking for a beautiful public beach thats relatively close the ship - preferably with restrooms.

Also planning to see Atlantis as well.

Any thoughts/opinions and best ways to get there would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your help!!!
