Curious as to why that would matter?

Drink packages are priced per day. 7 nights are cheaper than 14 night cruises. Same for unlimited specialty dining. Oops I just realized the prices was already quoted per day… my bad.

Yay!  This is awesome!  We have cabin 9204 on Edge and I thought having an aft view as well as the traditional side view would be awesome! DH wondered about the privacy because others can see in from the side.  I reckon if someone else wants to watch me watch the pretty Alaskan scenery while I sip my coffee or wine...so be it 💁‍♀️.

    Awe, thank you!  Planning to!

When we were on Ascent, we were in a SS1 that was about 3 cabins down from the MC's.  The foot print of the MC rooms looked bigger to me....especially the size of the balcony...was that just an optical illusion or are they bigger?

    Great cabin location for Alaska!

Love it when things work they way they should!  Question… what is the best MC suite?  We have one booked in 6 weeks.

We have one of the end cabins that has a side window. We can look out and aft from our balcony. 10182 on Ascent. It’s also not directly below pool deck. 🌺

    similar to this…

  4. Just wanted to report how easy it was to receive a refund on my upcoming cruise. Booked a suite guarantee for December. We were assigned a cabin right away. Received one of the best Magic Carpet Suites. Guarantee price dropped $400.
    Final Payment is months away.

We weren’t sure if we were still considered a guarantee price level since we had a cabin.

Quick call to customer service and price guarantee was active and quickly processed reduction in price.

    Thank you celebrity! Great service!

  5. AT&T has a $10 a day international plan that I have turned on. It works in most Caribbean ports we frequent. In case something glitches, that’s all we get charged. The rest of time it’s airplane mode and we are not charged.

A few years ago we had Verizon. My husband turned his phone on while in a port and all the downloads were waiting. He was charge close to $200. But Verizon refunded us with a call when we were back home.

  6. From the website;

*A food credit in the amount of $30 for lunch (sea days only) and $50 for dinner will be provided at the following a la carte specialty restaurants: Sushi on Five and Raw on Five. Food credit amounts are subject to change at any time and without notice.

  7. FYI, we did not ask to be put on an upgrade list. We were content with the Havana cabana. It is my husbands birthday during the cruise, so that did increase the odds we would accept this upgrade. Not sure if that played into the offer but it was mentioned by the person that I upgraded with.👀

  8. So excited! We are leaving Saturday on the Horizon for 8 night Southern cruise. We were booked in a Havana Cabana and got called today for a great offer to upgrade to the Havana Suite. It’s my hubby’s birthday so it will make it that much better!

If anyone wants any info from our cruise, just blew me know! I’ll report out for you!

It doesn't sound normal, and it's never happened to me.  I have definitely seen sold out excursions still listed for my cruises.   It could be a website glitch. Check again in a day or so.

I would think that Carnival would notify you if it's been canceled and would have issued a credit to your credit card.  Have you checked for a credit on your credit card account?

Do you see it in your "Booking and Order Summary"?  If it's there, and you just want to re-read the description, you should be able to get the description in the general section on Carnival's home page - Explore/Shore Excursions and then choose the port.   It won't have the times for your specific cruise, but the general description should be available for you to review.

I hope you find an answer soon.

Well, it was officially canceled. Just got notice and will receive a refund.

  10. We booked our excursion before final payment was due for our January cruise. I wanted to read the description again, but it’s not showing at all in the excursions section. There are other excursions showing sold out but ours is just gone. Is that normal or is there a possibility of it having been canceled and we find out on board?

We certainly enjoyed meeting with you two over dinner, lunch, drinks, shopping!!

We hope we’ll get to meet up again, whether on a ship or land!

We truly enjoyed your company. It’s nice to experience cruising with new friends! Enjoy the rest of your trip snd I hope service smooths out for you!

  12. Our last dinner was just awkward. Sat for over 15 minutes with no attention while a large group monopolized the staff. And then the food was cold. Flavor was good but room temp lamb wasn’t on my culinary bingo card.

In Wayne’s quest for non alcoholic drink choices, he did find more bright spots. The Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic was a nice surprise and MSC gives proper attention to their hot tea service.

We’ve had an ongoing conversation about the service on this cruise. The staff was working hard but didn’t seem as connected to the passengers. There were some bright spots but just seemed like they weren’t in sync yet. We aren’t sure if it is due to the larger size of Yacht Club on these newer ships or has cruising service just become meh.

We did decide we will keep giving MSC a go and plan on leaning into the good moments we experience.

  13. Dinner tonight was awkward. Sat for longer thank normal while a large group monopolized the staff. And then food was cool.

We’ve had an ongoing conversation about the size of Yacht Club on the newer ships or has cruising service just become meh. Not sure of the answer but we will keep giving it a go!

  14. So we booked another cruise onboard last night. Our future cruise consultant, Buse was very knowledgeable and very customer focused.

Booking on board benefits include the ability to reserve your choice if room, full ability to move cruises and a $200 onboard credit.

Next up, breakfast and Ocean Cay.
