Cruising is one of my favorite passtimes.
  • Favorite Cruise Line(s)
It's too hard to choose just one.

I mostly cruise Carribbean destinations, but I would love to explore the South Pacific when I can.
  1. Is suppossed to replace the Molecular Bar by the end of summer 2015. Custom created craft cocktails to be served. Already on the Eclipse. Only available on Celebrity Cruise Lines Global training program for Specialty bartenders. Apparently the same type of things in the molecular bar to continue in this new and improved version that will broaden celebrity's guests horizons even furthe, according to an inside Celebrity Cruise Staff Memo.
  2. You should have got a confirmation Email within a few days of your attempted reservation. I know I always have and I got one actually two nights for the cruise I'm taking in a couple of weeks. Good luck, Cindy
  3. I am fairly confident it will be a great time, mostly because massages, excursions and drink tickets, from Bon Voyage dept.,food and lodging as far as the cruise is concerned have already been purchased. Just spending money and tips left to take care of and the Queen Mary, (which is cheaper than just parking at Carnival). With the added benefit of an easy morning, no rushing or driving on cruise day. We also have been on the Queen several times and have wondered if other accommodations might be better, but I am convinced that the Queen Mary is just fine. Happy Cruising, Cindy
  4. Hi Dallas, I am so glad you gave such an honest and detailed review. I very much enjoyed reading the entire post. Your pictures were great and your commentary on the food has encouraged me to try some new things. I most appreciate your comments on the aft cabin though. I travel with a friend who enjoys sleeping in and relaxing on the balcony. The March 25th upcoming cruise is a Birthday cruise for me so I splurged on a wrap around balcony on deck eight. I was wondering if it would be quiet. Coincidentally last week I saw a West Coast Sale that allowed me to upgrade to a Midship Suite with V.I. P. embarkation for less than I originally spent. We got an onboard credit of $132.00 + upgrade!!:D However I had a nagging concern that maybe I made the wrong choice giving up the extra large balcony. Well you settled it for me once and for all!!! I was and I am blessed to get the Suite. How SWEET it is!:D Also Your review on the shuttle service enlightened me to the fact that the good Old Queen Mary room with free parking for I think $124.00 Carnival Cruise deal is just the ticket. Thanks again, I'm getting REALLY EXCITED, Cindy
  5. Dear Mura, What did you think of this suite? This is a once in a lifetime splurge for us. It is my Bff's 60th Birthday. We are going next year in April to Tahitti. We have never been there and we are sooooo excited!!:):) I have cruised many times before but never in a suite and for sure not with a Butler. Did you find reasons for his help. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! I hate to waste such an opportunity.;) Also I was worried that the overhang of the Bridge would totally shade the deck is that so? How many people fit in the jacuzzi? It looks like maybe it is for just one. Does that Veranda have a chaise lounge or just deck chairs? Did you find the suite to be noisy or rather quiet? Thanks so much to anyone who has info about this suite!!! CindyKay QUOTE=Mura;32227631]You can be overlooked at higher cabin levels as well. We were in the Deck 10 Vista on Marina in October and had a clear look at the Deck 9 Vista. In fact we talked to each other, because they were well in front of our railing. Mura
  6. this thread is so helpful. I copied this also and intend to save it as a file to my laptop.:) CindyKay
  7. Then why wasn't your question stated in a less judgmental and insulting way?
  8. Each person could enter their cabin number or something and view only their pictures if that is all they have time for. Who wants to hunt for 30 minutes to find your pictures among 3,000 other guests or have your embarrassing photos shown to the entire ship by default? At the same time give you lots of purchasing options and print only the digitals that are desired and paid for. Cindy:)
  9. My favorite thing on vacation is the sound of the Steel Band Live! Thanks for this thread. Cindy
  10. STEVEAAAAA IF YOU WANT TO FEEL GUILTY, AND BE A HYPOCRITE, MORE POWER TO YOU!!:p AS FAR AS I KNOW WHEN I DO LAUNDRY MY WATER GOES TO THE OCEAN TOO, I LIKE THE BATHROBE IDEA, I LIKE BEING TREATED SPECIAL ONE WEEK IN THREE YEARS AND I LIKE THOSE LITTLE ANIMALS, AND FOR A BIG FEE ONE WEEK OUT OF THREE YEARS I CHOOSE TO NOT FEEL GUILTY AND IT IS O.K. WITH ME IF YOU THINK I THINK IT'S ALL ABOUT ME. ONCE IN A WHILE IT'S O.K. TO HAVE A SHORT TIME TO BE ALL ABOUT ME!! I DESERVE IT. AND I TOO DON'T EAT THE FISH SO I FEEL I PERSONALLY HAVE SAVED MANY, THEY MAY EVEN CONSIDER ME A HERO. KEEP YOUR ROCKS FOR PEOPLE WHO CARE!! CINDY
  11. I was thinking about looking for a cosmetic surgeon, to get Botox injections while on a cruise to M.R. Does anyone have any referrals from someone they believe to be reputable and does anyone have any idea what it costs for eyes, brows and forehead treatment. Off the top my first preference is Cabo as it is last stop, but will consider P.V. or Mazatlan. Thanks for any info or websites to check out.:)Cindy
  12. My Splendor cruise is not until mid July so I will not have a chance to see the whales as you did. I so appreciate enjoying your great photos:). It's almost like being there myself. You gave such great information, including the tip on the umbrella. Good to know for many of your readers. I just can't say enough about how great it is to experience these cruises though other peoples, perspectives, experiences, opinions and cameras. I will definitely race to the shore excursion desk as soon as I board and plop down my $95.00 for the tour. I have enjoyed many cruises but I have never indulged in one of those tours and by your comments, I can hardly wait:) Happy Valentine's Day to all who are reading this thread. BTW what area of California is your town? I live in Canyon Country, (30 miles north of L.A. ), Cindy
