  1. Thank you... I wouldn't be passing up the wonders of Greece. I'd either do a cruise or non-cruise trip. I forgot that the question should really be port-specific, I'm sorry. The prime example would be Santorini. Is it "always" a tendered port? It's the Azamara Journey, the same ship I wanted to go on pre-pandemic. Thanks again.

  2. Prior to the pandemic we had a Greek cruise booked and several of the ports were listed as "tendered". I'm now looking at rebooking a similar cruise (probably Azamara) and all of the ports are listed as "docked". Have there been docks built or changes made in the past few years? Or are the websites not properly updated? At this time, I don't think I want to visit tendered ports. Thanks so much for any assistance!

  3. Since the Onward is a refurbished ship, would the comments in the Azamara cabin thread apply to Onward?

I'm looking at 7091 and 7093 where on the Quest someone posted that there was a humming or vibration. Would that also be true of the Onward?

My main concern is noise. I want deck 7 for that reason - just not sure where.

Is there a way to tell where crew work areas and doors would be?

Thanks so much for any insight you can offer!

  4. Ship "arrives" at 8 am. If it's likely that I would be able to be on a tender by 9am then I will not book a ship's tour. But if there is a high probability of being "stuck" on the ship past 9, I would consider a ship excursion. Would love some insight. As far as I can tell 5 ships are arriving around the same time with over 7800 passengers. Thank you for any advice!!!

We are on the Journey which is arriving in Santorini on the 10 September 2020.  By Santorini standards it should be one of the quieter days with only MSC Opera, Celestyal Olympia and Wind Star scheduled.  Next day is much busier with Celebrity Edge, AIDAMira, Celestyal Chrystal  and the Veendam.  Still, a lot can change between now and then, especially as this seems to be the first cruise out of dry dock for the Journey and we all know what happened to the Quest!.

What happened to the Quest? And I think there are other ships in port on Sept 10. The NCL Jade maybe?
