Can you give your opinion on these two options? 1st Option. Private tour from Cannes...to anywhere we'd like to between Cannes and Monte-Carlo. It's 98 euros pp and 4 hours long. Would we have time to see anything and explore a bit with only 4 hours though? We'd like to stop in Eze and Monte-Carlo and walk around. Not sure 4 hours is long enough. 2nd Option: A group tour (15 people min and 35 people max). 99 Euros pp. 7-8 hours long and stops in Nice, Eze and Monte-Carlo. I like this option except for the fact that if they don't get 15 people, it will not be held, so it has that risk...then we will be left with nothing. ORRRR....can we do these towns (Nice, Eze and/or Monte-Carlo) on our own? Is it difficult to take the train from Cannes to these places?

Thank you! We will prob just buy the one way ticket to Florence, get off at Pisa, do our thing there, then continue onto Florence. We will then purchase tickets separately for the way back.

We plan to take train to Florence, but stop in Pisa first to see the leaning tower (origin will be Livorno). If we buy our train tickets at Livorno Station, should we buy them to Florence? Can we get off at Pisa and then re-use the same ticket for the remainder of the trip? Or is it best to buy from Livorno to Pisa and then purchase a separate ticket in Pisa once we are ready to head to Florence?

I will be on this cruise also, but getting on at Barcelona. I don't care about the ship anyway, I'm in it for the ports...and it's a cruise ship, it's not gonna be BAD, whats I'll be on this cruise also, but getting on in Barcelona. So excited about the awesome ports and I' sure I'll love the ship, I'm not worried at all. Not planning to spend a ton of time on the ship anyway. But it's a cruise, what's not to love?!

OK, so if we want to hike to the top of the cliffs, we don't need a pass?

We are visiting Vernazza and then driving over to Riomaggiore after that (as part of a tour). We would like to walk to the top of the towns to see the beautiful views. Do we need a hiking pass to do so? We are not walking between towns, just wanting to climb up to see the view. How long does it take to get to the top approx?

Agree, the idea was nuts, lol. We will so cinqueterre the next day and do florence and Pisa the first day. Not sure if we should do quick stop in Pisa then to Florence or the other way around...thinking maybe to avoid Pisa at night, maybe stop there first and then not be rushed in Florence.

Who wants to join us on the NCL excursion to CInque Terre (On Your Own)? Has anybody booked this tour? Opinions?

We booked a tour from Cannes (over the phone with NCL). It's the small group Monaco & Monte Carlo. I'm worried it will not happen since it was never advertised on NCL webpage as an available excursion. But if you call them and book it, it's available. 32 seats are available and 5 have sold so far, that's what they told me as of today. 4 of those spots are mine. So, if anybody is interested, give NCL a call, the rep told me that their website is so screwed up that we should not rely on it too much (greaaatt). Not sure how they expect people to know about this offering though. It leaves at 9Am on May 17th. If you are interested, call and sign up 🙂

yep, gotch ya. I think we will do florence the first day, possibly stop in pisa on way back (around 8pm ish) and then do a tour to cinqueterre the entire next day. Sound better?
