For Future Cruise Certificates booked prior to 2024, does anyone know if the deposit is automatically refunded once you reach 6 months (we booked last July after the timeframe was changed from 1 year to 6 months), or do we have to request a refund if we are not going to move forward with booking?

We are sailing the Xpedition in January. We booked the 10 night land cruise package and my account lists we will get 50 CC points for OV cabin. This will be our first time to the Galapagos. The idea of a ship built to carry 100 passengers with 48 onboard, along with a much better price sold us on the Xpedition.

The ABCs on the Beyond on July 27!! Also took advantage of that one having the sweet low solo supplement on Sunset Verandas (and some others) so I got a Sunset for less than a solo IV!!!
Thank you for your ongoing review and great information!
That’s a great deal for a solo cabin, and sunset verandah to boot! Was there a special advertised for the solo cabin special? Or is it something you found by checking sailings?
TIA! Continue enjoying your trip.

If I'm not mistaken, HAL/Carnival never stop at Half Moon Cay on the same day so they don't mix the brands, and I think the same thing happened with X/Royal at Labadee. I don't see why Coco Cay would be any different.
I don't think this is true. I sailed on HAL last February and I assumed HMC would not be shared with a Carnival ship. Then I read people saying their sailing stopped at HMC with a Carnival ship. I quickly pulled up the port schedule and saw that our ship was alone that day, but saw other dates that shared with Carnival.

I wonder if some of these "a/c issues" have more to do with American's needing more a/c than most other people around the World and not necessarily anything mechanical. If you've ever traveled to Europe you know what I mean lol.
Some things you can do in your stateroom to help the a/c.. 1) when you get in your cabin on embarkation day, don't go onto the Veranda. Leave the door locked. 2) close the curtains. On embarkation day, the stewards are cleaning the rooms and leaving the doors open to work as well as they usually leave the curtains open so that when you walk into your cabin, it isn't dark.
These are helpful tips for day 1. However, my impression is that there were particular cabins that were having a/c issues. I am curious what the status is now midweek from those currently sailing.
-
Has their been any progress on a/c issues in the cabins? Are there certain decks or areas more affected? We are scheduled to be on deck 9 AQ class next week and wondering if those staterooms are impacted.
Thank you to all that have taken time from your vacation to post updates from the cruise this week.

Where is that review. I don’t see it. We are sailing on Infinity later and I’d like to read it. Makes me think about switching ships is possible. Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to start this thread and share your experiences. I am sorry this has happened to you and I hope that you get an early release to at least have a couple days left of the cruise to do as you please. You are handling the situation admirably. I am scheduled to sail in a few weeks and the information you have shared helps to know what to expect if I end up in the same position. Thank you and good luck!

Thank you for sharing your story. It is useful information to consider while deciding what to do about a cruise we are scheduled for in early February on the Rotterdam.
It sounds like you are making the best of the situation. I enjoyed your writing style and humor. Hope you both feel better soon and that your travels home go smoothly.

Reading from the luggage direct sign up form, "...your flight departs between 11:30AM and 11:59 PM (FLL). If flying Southwest Airlines, flights between 11:30AM and 6:00 PM.. Not available for flights from Miami. Participating Airlines: Alaska, American, Delta (domestic), Southwest, and United Airlines."
Thank you for this information. We are on SW, so it looks like we are out of luck. Glad to find out now.

Does anyone know if this service works if you have a much later flight? We are sailing on the Rotterdam. Our flight from FLL is not until 8 pm.
thanks! -
We recently booked our first Transatlantic. I really wanted to book an SV, but DH is concerned about motion so he wanted to be midship. I really wanted a traditional balcony hoping we will have time to enjoy sitting out on it. I talked him into a Sky Suite. We booked an S3 between the Magic Carpet supports... can't get much more midship than that.

Martini Bar Shows.....
LOVE the Martini bar crew!! They are the best! Their shows are entertaining, their drinks are delicious, and although they are typically too busy to chat, we were there one afternoon when it wasn’t too busy and enjoyed talking to them. Oka was kind enough to give me feedback and advice about our first transatlantic sailing we booked on the Beyond.
Graphicguy - Thank you for taking the time to post and allow us to live vicariously through you. You have a great writing style.

I'm confused by the itineraries... Is the 7/31 itinerary going to the Eastern? 8/14 and 8/28 show as Eastern and 8/7 and 8/21 show as Western. But 7/24 already did Eastern???
7/24 was Western.

Haven’t finished reading this thread yet, so not sure if you got your answer. We were on this sailing. Although there was an IPA on the menu, sadly, there were none to be found onboard. Often the beer they did have was only sort of cold.
This is so disappointing. Part of the reason we upgraded to premium package was because the Celebrity chart showing drinks available under classic and premium listed IPAs under the premium package. Well at least I know in advance so that I can set my expectations appropriately. Thank goodness for the Martini bar! Thank you for the feedback!

Can anyone onboard tell me if there are any IPA beers available? Thank you!! We are sailing July 24th.

In all probability, yes! You will be given the 'Where & When' for the day, when you check in and that will list the location of the mass.
Thank you! Also, I started searching for a “When and Where” that might shed light and found one from a Dec sailing on the NS and they did have Sunday evening mass:

We have a 5 pm Sunday departure out of Port Everglades on the Nieuw Statendam. Does anyone know if there will be a Sunday evening mass (assuming there is a priest onboard)?

It appears there was another earthquake today. At 5.9, it was the strongest one since Tuesday. Those poor people there, they definitely need a break.

I am booked on the February 1st Nieuw Amsterdam sailing. I am following this thread with great interest, not only to find out if anyone learns which sailing will be affected to fix the issue, but also feedback on how the sailing is going from those on the ship. Special thanks to fatcat04 for the updates. It has reassured me that we could still have a pleasant and minimally impacted sailing with only one azipod functioning (assuming we get to go).

We are on the Zaandam in 2 weeks going from Montreal to Boston. I will let you know how she is once I return. We are doing that route as we live 2 hours away from the Montreal Port and can get a drive there and fly back from Boston. Cheap flight home from Boston and less hassle for us doing it this way. If there is anything else you would like to know about the ship before I go, please ask away and I will gladly report back with the answer.
Thank you! I would love to hear about your experience.
And thank you everyone else for your feedback. It gave me some things to think about.

If both people in the stateroom have Elite status, do they each get a bag of laundry or is it just one per cabin?
TIA!
