I saw them using a credit card to check the height of a kid against a tape measure. Don't remember if the kid was wearing water shoes but would definitely have your son wear them. Maybe a have him grow his hair out a little.

Just got off the Getaway and was at Atlantis 9/12/14. Our itinerary was 12-6pm but got in a little early. We did the Comfort Suites Resort for the day and it was $299 for 2 Adults and 1 Child with full access to Atlantis but I know the prices vary by dates. We took a water taxi which is $4/PP one-way ($6/PP Round Trip). It was still a 10 minute walk to the resort and Comfort Suite is right next door. It can be hot so you might want to think about a taxi as they are $4/PP one-way and get there in a few minutes plus they drop you off at the door. It rained and by the time it let up we only had a couple hours to play around. Still had a lot of fun and wished I had more time. You definitely need at least 6 hours to explore the resort. We never saw the beach, blazed through the aquarium and digs, scarfed down some pizza (Pizza by the slice, Hot Dogs and Burgers go about $6 and water is $3.50) went down the big pyramid slide and hit the wave and rapids river. My 7 year old son wouldn't leave the river so we did it about 4 times including the slides on the river.

We hurried back to Comfort Suites to shower and change clothes. We got a taxi back as I didn't want to hike to the water taxi. I think this is a resort you need to stay at to enjoy everything. So figure out what you want to do and do that...don't try to do everything. FYI: 48" or taller to do the slides. They have security to watch for the wristbands for Aquaventure...no wristband no access.

We just did this excursion 1/23/14. It was great. Bus ride was long but the guide kept us entertained with lots of information on Belize. Got to climb the ruins. Lunch was good and so was the beer. Didn't care for the cashew wine. Carnival Guarantees the lowest price so if you find the excursion somewhere else cheaper let them know. Can do price guarantee on ship. We didn't know that until we were on the ship. Had a little time to shop at ruins at lunch and before last tender.

We did explore zip and Splash. Guide all day zip south shore and beach at Taybana. $65/per

Saw 6 x 6 set of dominoes but nothing fancy to get me to buy it. One place had it for $56, one was like $62 but at mahogany bay there one place that had the same set for $29.

We went with Christopher Tours. Got a driver for the day to explore the island...went to South Shore was fun and safe even in the rain. Didn't do the splash because of the rain. Great price...

We just got back from our cruise. We went with Christopher Tours. Wife and I had a guide just for us for the day. Drove us around the island and took us to South Shore. It was in the jungle and very safe. You can take your camera. They don't take many pictures and it is a little unorganized seeing your pictures. It rained but was still a blast. We zip a lot and this was the first time in rain. Next to west beach Tabyana. Was raining so went back to ship. $65/each was a great deal.

I just booked this on Carnival. Looks like a bunch of fun things to do. Anyone done this? No reviews on Carnival.

We just booked with Christopher Tours. Explore (Private Guide with photo opportunities), South Shore Zip Line and Splash @ Tabyana Beach. $65/each. Just can't beat that price anywhere. They even called me to answer questions. I'll post my experience when we get back at the end of the January.
