Terry-Thanks for your continued posting of the financial analysis. RCL up over 200% for past 2 years. Incredible run. I have been rolling my covered calls. Analysts are still bullish. Just watched the CCL CEO in CNBC. Weinstein discussed all their brands. Demand is off the charts. GLTA

No different than what hotel chains have done after acquisitions. In almost all cases an integration of systems, policies and perks takes place. The bottom line is that the corporation needs to grow their revenue and earnings. Cost cutting and synergies are a natural outcome. I can still stay at a St. Regis/Ritz-Carlton and use my Marriott Bonvoy benefits that I accumulated via stays at a Courtyard. The proof will be if the cruises are full and demand keeps growing. As many previous posters have noted the age demographic for most of these luxury cruise lines (exception being Alaska and Expedition) is 70 years plus. The cruise lines must find ways to attract and maintain a younger clientele. Happy Sailing to All.

Since I only posted the history for the past three years, here is the Wall Street Journal chart for Royal Caribbean during the past five years. That provides some added, signifiant perspective
Of special note is that on December 1, 2019, the RCL stock was previously peaked at $133.51. Now $143.71 this morning, they are more than fully recovered from the downward slide during the Covid shutdown and recovery period. WOW!
That's a nice "bounce-back" for RCL.
THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

We did this cruise last July. We booked our own hotel like you did. We picked up the bus at Egan Center. It’s a great cruise. Have a great trip.
-
I just have specified that our bus was from Anchorage to Seward for start of cruise on Muse.
-
We took the bus last year on our Muse July cruise. We were on the Muse eating lunch at 130pm. The folks that took the train were delayed and were not on the ship until after 5pm. Have a great trip.

If this is “one of the weaknesses” I think we are in good shape. Happy and Safe Cruising

We were on the Muse in July 2023 Sew-Van. Some of the same stops you have. I did a trip summary. It's posted under "Silver Muse (Sew-Van) July 6-13 Recap". There are some postings related to the excursions. Have a great trip!

We just booked our flights for our Dec-Jan cruise on Encore from Hong Kong to Singapore. We are working with TA. The least expensive Business Class tickets via Flight ease were over $1500 per ticket more than what we could find ourselves. We were also able to get fully refundable tickets. We did have to pay now. Where the Flight Ease ticketing payment is not due until cruise is fully paid. Happy Cruising

We did this cruise in July last year on the Muse. As noted above the Egan Center is for the buses. We were able to board the ship at just after noon. The folks that took the train boarded after 6pm. Have a great time!

An exec of the cruise line and sometimes a TA will provide the”VIP” designation. Not sure if any other way?

On our Silver Muse cruise last July (Seward to Vancouver) they did have 2 Alaskan Beers Available. I just don't recall the names? Also, prior to the cruise send an email to the ship concierge and see if they can procure some different local beers. Have a great cruise.

We were on the Muse in July (Sew-Van). We ate at both Kaiseki and La Dame. We enjoyed both. For Kaiseki we asked for a "Saki" wine sampling and enjoyed through the multi course meal. At LaDame we asked the Sommelier for an "included" wine pairing for the multi course dinner including after dinner cognac. The wines selected by Sommelier were very enjoyable. We would not pay the Nova pricing.

Just my 2 cents. The stock (RCL) price is close to all time high. Market cap is over $28B. Surely the SS acquisition has paid off for RCL. They will continue to push the pricing boundaries as demand is still extremely high post pandemic. Time will tell. But, anyone who has recently cruised or travelled knows the reality of crowds and long lines. Just as airfares have exploded so to have cruise pricing. The only pushback that RCL will care about are empty ships. For now we will continue to see prices increasing and corporate profits soaring. This won’t last forever. But, we are in a much different time for the world economy. The product (SS) is still excellent. Happy and Safe Cruising to All.

We just sailed on the Muse (Seward to Vancouver). We had a normal Muster Drill at 630 pm where everyone was required to walk down the stairs and gather in Dolce Vita.

We just returned from our Silver Muse Alaskan Cruise (Seward-Vancouver) July 6-13. This was our 3rd SS cruise with first 2 being on the Spirit. We chose the Port to Port with the bus option transfer from Anchorage to Seward. On embarkation morning we met at the Egan Center. We left around 10:30 am and enjoyed the 2.5 bus ride. When we arrived in Seward at the cruise terminal it was a breeze moving through. We were on the ship a little after 1:30pm and went to La Terrazza for nice outside lunch. After lunch we met with head Maitre d’ to confirm and move around a few of the restaurant reservations we had made online. We then met and said hello to the restaurant manager, head sommelier and assistant sommelier. I will note that the folks taking the scenic train from Anchorage arrived on the ship around 630pm. We had a Superior Veranda on the 9th Floor. The ship is beautiful. We found the cruise outstanding. We were lucky to have very nice weather for most of the cruise. We ate dinner in 6 different restaurants over the 7 nights. We thought the food was excellent. We enjoyed the included wines and I asked the sommelier a few evenings for something other than what was being served that evening and he brought several wines for us to try. At our dinner in LaDame they poured several different wines during the dinner and it was a lot of fun. We did not go to any evening entertainment other than the dinner at Silver Note, where the duo was really good. We did attend the Venetian Cocktail reception and that was nice meeting other guests and the crew. We only did the included excursions and enjoyed all of them. The hike on the Chilkoot Trail was the most strenuous while the other excursions were more sightseeing. The whale watching in Juneau was spectacular where we were able to see the whales Bubble Net Feeding. We were told how special this was to see. What makes the cruise so special is the crew and the staff that works so hard. We tried to interact with many crew members to ask them questions and these crew members are lovely and very humble. I have included some pictures from our one week on the Muse including some excursions to provide a glimpse of the experience.

On the Muse. Played BJ tonight while my wife packed 😀. It’s 6 deck from shoe and BJ pays 3:2. Dealer buries the first 5 cards. Also, dealer only deals one card to himself prior to the table hitting/standing. Once the table is done the dealer deals his 2nd card and so on. There was 1 table tonight and it was $10 min and $50 max. It was an outstanding week on Muse from Seward to Vancouver.
