  1. Considering first Viking cruise in the Med with another couple.  They booked a penthouse veranda & we may book Deluxe Veranda.  Will they have perks that will affect our experience traveling together?  Mostly concerned with early disembark, preferred excursions…..I believe they get more access to chefs table and the Giovannis Table (no biggie).  We do not need to be attached at the hip all the time however, I don’t want to go if it’s going to be awkward or make our friends not want to take advantage of all of their perks to wait for us to get off board for example.  Thoughts?  I tread descriptions but they are somewhat vague.

  2. I am curious about this option as well…..it would be the ONLY reason I would get off the ship.  I really despise Nassau as a stop…..but I have heard Baha Mar is stunning.

  3. Regarding the jelly fish…was there yesterday…8/9/22.  Tons of jellyfish and they DO sting….we have the welts and itching to prove it.  We had access to Resorts World and also rented a golf cart & stopped at other spots that were also loaded with jellies.  Glad we had the pool use at resorts world.

btw, if you do rent a golf cart, I strongly DO NOT recommend BMB Rental Carts.  Extremely rude staff and the carts were barely operable….kept breaking down in the middle of the road.  Otherwise it was a decent way to get around although not much to see really.

The VV web site says that the $100 bonus is valid until August 31, as is the new special on bookings for the remainder of 2022.  I have read, but have no personal experience, that if you have a bar tab with the $50 extra, you can call VV and request to have it adjusted to the new special...and it is happening for at least some Sailors.

I emailed sailor services and they upped my $50 bonus to $100 when I asked.  Classy move…..it’s not like I haven’t spent a bucket of $$ on this cruise already, 50 more bucks won’t kill them & it made me a happy sailor!  LOL

  5. I believe you could stay as long as you want at the beach; he could not have been more accommodating.  I also think he would be great adapting to the kids’ interests….

  6. I know these are older posts and the OP has already traveled but just in case others are looking for Freeport options…..I can highly recommend Mamma Gal East End Native Experience…Charlie was our driver for 6 of us.  He was so flexible when we gathered our peeps later than planned and he catered to our interests.  He was full of interesting stories about his life on the island, history, hurricane recovery (still very rough on the island).  The port area is dismal and shops closed so don’t count on that for entertainment but if you take the time to get out with Charlie, he will make it a memorable day.  We went to Lucayan National Park, hit a couple beaches and at least 3 beautiful beach bars….we passed on a shopping stop.  Been there many times over the years and we were so glad we did this tour and they really appreciated the business.
