My wife had cancer and used one on the last cruise we were able to do. It was very hard to get into the cabin. Our cabin steward told us to park it in the hallway and just take the key with us. In fact one night he took it to the crew area and recharged it for us. I don't know how big you party is, but it was just the two of us and requested a table by the entrance to the dining room and my wife just parked it right behind her. Otherwise I saw people park them outside the entrance.Sometimes you might have to wait for an elevator, but many times people are very accommodating and will make space for you. Hope this helps and enjoy your cruise.

Great review. Sailing on the Grandeur for the 7th time in Oct. It's so nice to be able to drive to the ship. I was wondering if they still have escargot as an appetizer in the dining room every night. Thanks

Not trying to hijack the thread. But does anyone know if escargot is still served every night in the dinind room. Thanks

Does anyone know when the new menu is going to be implemented on the Pride? I am sailing 11-22-2015 and was wondering if she would have it by then.

Does anyone know the cost of cigarettes? I need to buy a couple cartons of Marlboros for a friend.

I also ordered a $500 card from Verizon on the 21st. I hope it comes soon. My final payment is due on the 8th and I don't want to have to use my credit card.

I did book it. I have until Sep 8 to make up my mind. That's when final is due.

I never thought of that, but it's a great idea. I have a picture of my wife in our bedroom which I speak to and is the last thing I see each night before the lights go out.

I appreciate all the kind words and advice. I just can't seem to make up my mind. I just don't know if I can go without her. I still have a month before final payment to make up my mind. I'm going to talk to my brother and get his opinion too.

My wife passed away last year. We did 12 cruises together. I can do an 8 night Pride over Thanksgiving for $950 including tax, fees and gratuities. The ship actually sails on the first anniversary of her passing Nov. 22. Any advice. Will I have a good time alone? Thanks

My wife would like to go to the L L Bean super store. She has a mobility problem. Would it be easier to take a cab or the ship's shore excursion?Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Do you recommend a passport?

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but a lot of people don't carry their passport ashore. Instead they take a copy. It might make it easier, but that's not a passport. I only have a passport card and have never had a problem.
