    I knew you were asking about the app. I have not seen any “rules” published. My point is that there should be no difference between the rules for the photo that ship security takes and the rules for the app photo. Does anyone else have any information? In any case, if ship security doesn’t like the photo they’ll just take a new one.

    I have never been asked to take my glasses off for a Princess security photo. 🤓

    For iOS/iPhone it was merely an update - not delete and reinstall.

    Thanks for the information, Frank. I saw your post appear and started looking for the update. It wasn’t available here in Australia until about 5 hours later. But I have it now and it’s working perfectly. 👍 Cheers. Bill

    In my understanding, you do not need to book anything in the Cruise Personalizer. Once you have filled in all the information in the section titled "Guest Check-In", you are finished. See quote in blue from the Guest Check-In page. If you have provided all the Guest Check-In information that is required, and the MedallionClass™️ app still shows "incomplete", you may be having an issue with the app itself.  Good Luck!

     

    Getting ready for your Princess MedallionClass Vacation

    Two quick steps for an easy check in:

    1. Required Passenger Check-In

      Start by completing all the required information for each passenger listed below. This may include providing your guest information, your emergency contacts, your shipboard account details and other important steps.

    Hi Deb. OK - never thought about that number on the bottom right hand corner of the cruise card, or what it meant. What does the "A" after the number mean, please? Thanks. Bill

    Agreed - it would be nice if Princess gave passengers an either/or choice: lanyard or sport clip. They are probably a very similar cost - to Princess. Maybe next year....

    Princess could at least have offered you a complimentary bottle of wine or a coffee card for your inconvenience in having to backtrack to check-in....

    Hmmmm.... Seems like there are a few problems?! We became "Ocean Ready" a couple of weeks ago and I'm not going back in to "check" on anything.... :classic_rolleyes: We don't have any other OM cruises booked.

    You're very welcome. I, too, don't recall ever waiting too long to board. We're travelling with friends - they have not done any of the OR stuff and we have, so it will be interesting to see how our boarding experiences differ. Having been involved with computers my whole career, I like to see a new system emerge, see how it works, see what problems (& solutions) it has, etc. Learning new stuff is fun and keeps the brain active!

    Cruise Personalizer was completed the old fashioned way on the Princess website.  I used the MedallionClass™ app - not OceanReady.

    Do a Google search: "screen shot on ....(name of your device)". It's usually very straightforward. 

    Each of you will have a separate code.

    The other option is to have the app up and running when you get to check-in and show the Passes on your device;

    I have all the apps loaded but used only the MedallionClass™ app and have obtained the following:

    - screens showing our OceanReady Passes (which I have copied - just in case)

    - a screen saying Congratulations, my order has been placed successfully, and

    - an email confirmation of the order

     

    All ready to Rock 'n Roll....

    In April we sailed B2B (Mexican Riviera & Coastal to Vancouver) on the Royal & never had to remove the Medallion from the aftermarket Fitbit clip holder...not in port, not on the ship.

     

    I rechecked my OM in that clip holder & the material was flexible enough to see the name, ship & date.

    Interesting. Thanks for the info.  I'm sure that some people will be pleased to hear it!
