Got an email from Regent confirming that 23/24 cruises can be booked starting August 18. Itineraries and prices are available August 11.
Our TA doesn't know this. Will the itineraries be on the Regent website Aug. 11?

We were waitlisted in 5 categories for a November, 2022 cruise with all different #s and was really doubtful we would clear. In fact, I was in the process of booking with Azamara for a similar itinerary - same month as the "O" cruise. Then PRESTO! we were cleared! GOOD LUCK!

Just wanted to add here is that although other cruise lines offer itineraries similar to those of Silversea, I've observed that Silversea always seems to offer their cruises at the optimal times of the year. Super important to know if you plan to get off the ship 😉

Climate of Mumbai in january
THE CLIMATE OF MUMBAI IN JANUARY IS PERFECT
the weather in Mumbai in january is dry ; it never rains.
The climate is very warm in that locality in january. The high seasonal norm is 86°F. On average, the recorded minimum temperature is 77°F. Thus, the mean temperature average on this month of january in Mumbai is 81°F. Note that these seasonal averages are in contrast with those observed in Mumbai in january with a maximum record of 92°F in 2014 and a minimum record of 70°F in 2011. You can plan to have about 16 days with temperatures above 86°F, or 52 of the month.
On average, in Mumbai, the days of january last 11:06. The sun rises at 07:15 and sunset is at 18:21.
With a perfect weather, january is recommended to go in this locality in India." -

We thought these early 2022 itineraries for Nautica would be released on July 21, but the website has nothing until June 30.

We love Oceania, and Art is particular to Marina and Riviera. We have not cruised with Viking. We have, however, meticulously scrutinized every Norwegian fjords cruise we could find. We have decided to try Silversea for this cruise next year because it appears to visit more fjords. It depends on what you are looking for on such an itinerary.
-
We've noticed that some of the other luxury cruise lines have similar itineraries and usually Oceania cruises have the best prices. However, the other lines often cruise at different times of the year when the weather is better. We LOVE Oceania, but will pay more for a better holiday. Shop around and make suggestions to Oceania. Even a 2 month difference can make a cruise better.

The hotel says the water taxi would be at least 80 euros.
We'll be in Venice for four nights, so will need to keep our bags with us.
I hate doing laundry on the ship, especially with no sea days and every port with a full day's excursion.
pondering.................

Any ideas about the best way (other than a water taxi $$$$$$$$$$) to get from the cruise terminal to our hotel that is near the Bridge of Sighs? We will likely have more luggage than we need.
Thank you!

Sorry you are off in your country, the Lippizonar stalions are born and bred in Lipica, Slovenia close to the border of Italy. Kopar is also in Slovenia, rather far north of Montenegro.
We were off by a "p."
I did determine that there is some wonderful riding in Montenegro, though :)
Still looking at the cruise ship alternatives for a day in Koper to include the stud farm..
-
Would like to know how far it is to the horse farm from the pier. I know they have tours. Could we take a taxi ?
I was so surprised to learn that these horses are bred in Montenegro. We plan on visiting next year and appreciate any advice.

We will have a day room at the IC, arriving about 6AM. I think we'll try to do a half day 4x4 then relax until boarding time. We had a similar arrival time in New Zealand a couple of years ago and spent the first day exploring on foot, then a family farm/wine tasting/honey sampling tour, then dinner, and did fine. Our first PG day is a sea day, so we'll rest then. The IC has suggested a tour for us.

I'm leaning towards the Pinnacle snorkeling. It is touted as super terrific. The dive master advised Micah to do the 2-tank dive and the timing on that depends on the conditions. I have watched the Ato videos/photos. I don't think I want to see anybody spearing fish in person.
BTW: Our itinerary has changed a bit according to my TA
Kathy

Which dive was canceled? Micah is still booked on the 2 tank dive as far as we know. When an excursion is canceled, does PG call/email?
-
Please advise!
I'm prebooked for Fakarava Pinnacle Snorkeling with the ship, but thinking about Ato's Blue Lagoon Tour. Is it possible to compare the snorkeling on these options? According to the dive guys on PG, snorkeling in the Garuae Pass is the absolute best. I've read and re-read all about Ato's wonderful tour and am just plain stuck. I do know that the Fakarava Pinnacle Snorkeling either will, or may already be sold out. Oh, yes, we're vegetarians so Ato's picnic isn't a plus for us. I would like to see the pink sand beach. HELP!
BTW: It's cheating to say I need to book another cruise so I can do both :)
