  1. Anyone know when the activities schedule is likely to appear on the Medallion app?

Now only 22 days till we sail.

Im sure on my last years Princess cruise the events/activities appeared much sooner.

    All info gratefully received 😎

  2. Well this has solved my problem, couldn't log on to Tapatalk nor Cruise Critic App! This is a real pain, I either now have to use my lap op to access cruise critic or go in via safari if on my phone!! Poor service from what is an invaluable tool when planning a cruise!!

    NOT impressed.

  3. Having looked at the link I note you can buy ship board credit and speciality dining credit.

If you purchase ship board credit can this be used toward speciality dining as well as making other purchases whilst on board or do you have to buy speciality dining credit ?

    Hope this makes sense !

    Many thanks.

  5. cruise lines that don't provide laundromats for their guests should not have rules against anyone hanging laundry wherever they choose.

Thank you so much for saying this, you took the words right out of my mouth.

We take our first cruise with Celebrity in April and will be away a total of 22 nights. Am dreading the laundry situation [emoji33].

On previous cruises there have always been self service laundry facilities either included or paid for by purchased tokens.

My laundry could be washed, dried , ironed and put away all within just over an hour and with a beverage at my side and lovely folks to chat to certainly not holiday time wasted [emoji41]

  6. We are taking a 3 week holiday in the spring next year.

We plan to buy 2 litres of duty free spirits at our departing airport.

During our 4 night stay at a hotel prior to our Celebrity cruise we will probably drink some of the Gin/ Whisky purchased.

Please can you tell me what will happen to the remaining Spirits when we board the ship?

    Also

Is it best to pack them in our hand luggage or our big case?

NB we have the Classic beverage package so no intention of consuming our Duty Free once on board.

    I await your replies.

    Many thanks.

  7. Am new to cruising with Celebrity.

On My Celebrity e account it states 51 days until Check In. Please can someone tell me what this means ? Am I right in presuming more electronic pages appear and I have to complete them with more personal data etc?

Also we have booked a B2 cabin- what toiletries does one get at this level?

    Many thanks in anticipation.

  8. Am new to Celebrity an am currently doing my homework before booking a cruise with them.

On this site I have seen lovely photos of what looks like a Patisserie, are these treats included in the cruise price or are they extra? Or are they included in the Premium drinks package?

    Many thanks

  9. We've used Jet2 for a few years for package hols knocks spots off the competition, pretty good for flight only as well if you're planning on going for a break before /after a cruise.

We have used Jet 2 for flights and for package holidays and can’t fault them and love the 23 kg luggage allowance.

No long queues at check in either in UK or abroad - Thomson take note!!

We were also very impressed by resort check in, it worked really well for us!

  10. if the room is important to you, yes go for a bigger cabin. Some cabins have an English plug for the tv but best of advice (due to position of plug, some phone chargers are too bulky - trust me, get there and you will understand) get a mini extension lead with two English plug sockets and one basic European adapter. (poundland for both). Majesty 5 times. love it.

Many thanks for your helpful replies.

  11. Am thinking of taking a two week cruise on Majesty in October. I appreciate she is an "old ship".

The plan is to book an outside cabin, but they look so tiny ....is it worth booking an outside plus giving us a little extra space?

    (Only 2 of us).

Also what power sockets are available?

    Many thanks in anticipation.

  12. Quick question;p

are the plug sockets American or European

    thanks

In our inside cabin there was one EU and one USA socket by the mirror and then an EU by the skirting board at the side of the bed.

We have a multi USB adapter which is very useful for phones, camera and kindle.

    Hope this helps

  13. Basically yes, you can register your card at check in but still make cash deposits at reception at any time, best way is to pay in enough cash to cover the half way first payment then keep nearly enough in credit to cover the final payment leaving a small balance to come off your card, this saves the time and possible queing to either pay your balance in cash or reclaim any surplus cash just before leaving the ship

Many thanks Okavango, thought this would be the case.
