No problem. You just check in at the pier. The baggage handlers can provide luggage tags if you don't have them. Make sure you have all the required travel ID and reservation information with you to facilitate your check in and boarding.
Enjoy your cruise!
Phew!! Thank you for the quick reply, I was beginning to panic!

So forgot to do online check-in and I see cut-off time was 3 days prior to cruise. Cruise leaves tomorrow. Am I screwed? What happens now?

Thank you for the great review and all the pics! Looking forward to boarding the Equinox in 10 days!

I am loving this review - thank you so much for posting! And your pictures are beautiful! We are on this same sailing in March, I'm getting so excited reading your posts :)

Happy Anniversary wallypbear!
Thank you for posting! DH and I will be on Enchantment in November for our anniversary, and it will be our first time on Royal! I know we'll have a great time regardless, but it makes me so happy to read such a great review :-)

I called 3-4 days ago and $100 on board credit was quoted to me as $140 CAD.
-
I'm also interested to know if anyone has recently done the Sandals day pass. I contacted Sandals through their website about reserving a day pass, cost, etc, and the response I got was to contact the hotel directly via phone. I will most likely call them closer to our sail date in November.
-
Sorey, I don't have anything to help. Just wanted to say we are sailing on her in November and we are having the same issue, not able to reserve Chops or MTD.
-
I didn't realize that we'd have to clear customs in Key West (we are also going on Enchantment in November). Seems like it would make more sense to stop there first. Was your Sept cruise always planned that way, or did they change the itinerary?
-
Thanks everyone for the responses!
Is it possible to buy 1 liter bottles of the regular spring water (not Evian). If so, any idea how much they are?
-
I'm trying to figure out if the Replenish Drink Package will be beneficial for us. If I understand correctly, only 500ml bottles of water are included, is this correct? And not Evian? Are you able to buy single bottles of Evian on board, or only through the Evian package? If able to buy single bottles, does anyone know how much they are and what size bottles are available? And same question for regular bottles of water (price, sizes)?

Honestly, I more worried that the 4 days wont be enough....
Haha! I'm worried about that also! BUT 4 days is better than none :D
We ended up booking OV on deck 4. Now the countdown begins...

Great start, looking forward to reading more! Hubby and I will be on Enchantment in November for our anniversary :)

not many levels of balconies on these older ships I am guessing is one reason for the high prices.
Never thought of that!
-
Thank you both for your responses! I think we'll go ahead with the OV :)

My husband and I are looking at booking a 4-day Bahamas cruise on Royal. We have sailed several times before, but only on Celebrity. The cruise we are looking at is on Enchantment, and we are considering an Ocean View cabin either on deck 3 or 4. We've always booked balcony cabins in the past, however for this cruise I'm having a hard time finding any, and the ones that I have found (on certain TA website) they are twice the price of the ocean view. So we're thinking we'd rather save the $$ and spend it on excursions and other things. I know this is completely a personal preference, but has anyone gone from always booking a balcony, to booking ocean view, and didn't miss the balcony? I was also wondering, for those who have been in cabins on deck 4 on Enchantment specifically, are these cabins noisy due to whats on deck 5? I would prefer to be on deck 4, but I'm worried about the noise. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

This "problem" comes up frequently when women get married and change their name after booking a cruise, but there is no need for it to be a problem at all if you simply use whichever name is on your passport.
If they are not the same, just change the name on your cruise reservation so that it matches your passport name exactly.
That is quick and easy to do and it avoids any hassles or aggravation.
When you check in for your cruise, nobody cares whether or not you are married, only that the name on your cruise reservation matches the name on the passport you present.
This is not quick nor easy! I went through also, had make several phone calls and fax the paperwork a few times before everything was sorted out properly!

Our our cruise last year, I forget which island, one of the little shops at the port was selling old used license plates for like $10. DH picked one up to hang in the garage, and now he wants to start collecting them from everywhere we go... Our upcoming cruise has a stop in Cozumel, and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a shop that sells these? Or where/how we could get one?
-
That may be the case but they should have warned me of that before I placed the order. The website was quite clear the currency they would charge:
$30.60 CAD* $122.40 CAD*
Subtotal $122.40 CAD*
Agreed. The system sucks :(
Hopefully the adjust it, or maybe you can cancel it and get a refund?

Is your booking in US or Canadian funds? I believe if your booking is in US you are not able to purchase OBC in Canadian.

We were on Navigator in March. We did want to try Nachi Cochi resort but it was already booked by the time we decided to go. So we found another one Secrets Aura in Cozumel. It is a little higher in price than the normal but the food was out of this world - we had a really nice lunch outside on the beach. All the drinks we wanted - beach was great - it's an adult only resort and is all inclusive - some shops but not many - nice pool with swim up bar. We really enjoyed it but it was $100 pp. There were probably 4 restaurants to choose from on the property. :D
I'm interested in booking Aura for a day pass - how did you reserve this? They are not listed on the resort for a day website.
-
Book it!! I'm sure you will love it! I am 35 years old and have been cruising exclusively with Celebrity for the last 5 years. The food and service is amazing. Always tons of stuff to do (or not do). It's true that there usually isn't a ton of people our age on the ship, but that has never stopped us from having a great time.

Shore excursions, dinner packages, internet packages and pretty much everything else in the cruise planner show up with Canadian pricing for my upcoming cruise. However in the "gifts on board" section where the OBC is listed, all is in USD. Am I missing something? How can I get OBC to show up in $CAD?
Was your booking made in US or CAD funds? I've read in other posts that if your booking was made in US dollars than you will not be able to pre-purchase in Canadian dollars (even with a Canadian credit card).

Thx to everyone for all the insightful responses, and especially to HelenHaywood (HH) for sharing her experience on this subject. Well, I bought myself some OBC this morning (or so I think). I completed all the information for the order and then pressed the Submit button. I never got any acknowledgement that my request was processed - no email and most regrettably, no evidence from subsequent web pages that my request was in fact successfully processed.
In fact my recent experiences with Celebrity's website has been less than ideal. In fact there is a thread on this board titled "I really hate Celebrity's website" and while I haven't read it, I can relate to the title of this thread. Each time I have attempted to interact in any meaningful way with X's website, I have experienced frustration to varying degrees. I am concerned that we have a little over 4 weeks before our cruise commences, and just hope that I get some form of confirmation from X re the purchase of my OBC before we board. As one of the posters on this thread states, I am certainly not looking forward to having this issue addressed through Guest Services once on board. If I see nothing appear on my credit card statement in about a week, I'll take HH's recommendation and contact X directly to check on the status of my request. Sorry for venting!!!
When I purchased this last week, after hitting submit, it went to a screen where I could print my order summary and there was an order reference number. I also received an email a few days later stating that my order had been processed and included a receipt detailing what was purchased that the amount charged to my credit card. If you saw nothing like this after hitting submit I'd be inclined to think the order wasn't processed. Call Celebrity to make sure.

Thank you all! We will make sure to show up early at the pier tomorrow. Can't wait! :)
