They’re offering an Inside Access Behind the Scenes tour on our short cruise in late September. Has anyone been on it? Is it worth it? Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

Is there a way to check the terminal where you checked in?

Thanks everyone!

Does anyone know how to find out how many ships will be in port on the day
that we’ll be visiting?
-
I booked a gty because nothing was available on the deck the rest of our family was on. I’ll be happy with a cabin anywhere on the sold out ship as long as it has a balcony, that is.

Mini suites on the hump have larger balconies. You can see them on the deck plans.

Yes. Cruisedeckplans has links to them by cabin.
Thanks again. I’ll look for them.

Yes, though exact obstruction and how annoying it may be to you will depend on the exact cabin. View some cabin review videos on that deck on any Q class to get an idea.
Thanks. Where can I find those videos? YouTube?

Would like to know about the “view” from an obstructed view balcony on Deck 6. Can you see anything?

We were Diamond for the first time in January. Hubby was included in my status. We each had the 4 drinks on our cards every day. He asked and received top shelf liquor and never paid extra. I like the frou-frou drinks and never an upcharge. We never used all the drinks every day.
We used our Diamond freebies for specialty coffees sometimes.

Thank you! I will try them for our 9/23 Radiance 11 day HI cruise.
I just got online and can’t seem to order only the observed test - looks like they want to send me a test too…

Actually, the proctored test through Rapid Test and Trace is exceptionally easy. It's $20, no app to download. You schedule your date and time on their website, you can use your own at home test kit, and they are very diligent about sending you reminders of your appt. time that you selected. The proctor was extremely nice and while still on the zoom with her, she made sure I received my negative test result in my email before we disconnected. I highly recommend them. I think it was On Point that was more complicated and you had to download two accounts or something like that. But Rapid Test and Trace was excellent.
Thank you! I will try them for our 9/23 Radiance 11 day HI cruise.

I was at Walgreens today for Omicron/Covid booster and asked about Covid testing for travel. They said Medicare no longer covers testing for travel. I think they said it would cost $129. Looked online and found that Walmart is testing for $75 - I’ll check tomorrow and may make an appointment there. I know there are some online proctored tests that were advertised at $19.95 but you have to download their app and jump thru hoops to get signed up.

It's not 48 hours, it's two days prior.
So, for a Saturday sailing can you get tested on Thursday? Was recently on a Princess Cruise and the day of sailing did not count. Also, they did not even ask to see our test results or even as about them.

My favorite was my first cruise. I told my husband that if I only got one cruise in my life that I wanted to go to Norway. We did it! It was 1987 and we were on an old rust bucket (Ocean Islander) with only 250 passengers. We had a blast with our dinner companions and they led us on fantastic tours. We kept in touch for many years but I think I’m the only surviving member of the group. I’ve been on many cruises since. Loved New Zealand and Australia, Alaska and Hawaii cruises. My most recent cruise was last month - to Norway with my son, granddaughter and her husband and my 2 great grandsons on Sky Princess. We went to different ports than first cruise which were nice but…. Am booked on Radiance in September with my son and will get to see a grandson who lives in Kona.

What’s the fashion for formal nights these days? We’re going to HI in late September.

I didn’t hear back from Princess yesterday, as promised. But, I went to aa.com this morning and found that I’d been ticketed!! I was able to change my seat back to the one I’d originally selected. I wasn’t able to change my return flight on the app tho - it said to contact Princess - no thanks. I’ll ask at the ticket counter at the airport when ready to leave, it’s worked before… just before the pandemic with no change fee.

Thanks everyone for your input. After over 4 hours on hold I finally talked to an EZAir agent. It took her less than 2 minutes to tell me I’d have my ticket in about 2 hours!

To HBCruiser: my son and I were going to fly together. He would have met me in my hometown to start our trip from here. He discovered that AA had a direct flight to DFW from his hometown. I was able to change his booking in January - meet in Dallas and fly to London together. I booked us seats together in Premium Economy. After the change AA showed him booked in economy and they moved me from my window seat! I tried for weeks to get us changed back. I spent many many hours on hold and getting cut off, getting stupid answers and lies and talking to foreigners and people in their homes, and my registered letter to Princess Hq went unanswered. I could not do it! We were both frustrated (I still am). He booked flights directly with Delta so I cancelled his EZAir reservation and asked to have his fare refunded to the original credit card. It was done within two days.

When do they issue the tickets? I am in a similar situation - booked with AA - although my cruise is not until December 2022. When I look at my AA account online it asks me to pay for the ticket. No ticket has been issued. What happens if you pay for the ticket through AA? Would Princess EZAir refund you?
You may have to pay current price!

Go to to your online account for that cruise and select Print Summary. Your ticket number will be there.
I’ve been on hold with Princess for 2 hours now. Before I was put on hold for the second time I asked for a new summary, they sent it, it does not show a ticket!
I know about changing online and that I’d pay the current rate which is a over $1,000. I trusted EZAir to allow me to make changes before the 45 day deadline. They’ve lost my trust, and business. -

After the airline has been paid and the ticket has been issued you can deal with the airlines directly. I have had to do that in the past. You can deal with Princess if you want depending on the issue.
I’m waiting for the ticket to be issued…

This does not make sense. I have only ever seen the confirmation code on the Princess site. I also have never looked up a flight on any airline website using a “ticket #” only the confirmation code. The ticket number will show on the airline site once my flight was accessed but I’ve never had to use it for anything.
When you are on the AA site to look up your flight, what info does it ask for?
The AA website - when using my confirmation code - says I must have a ticket number and it must be issued by my “travel agent” - Princess!
