  1. No reserving. all seats are first come basis.

Except for all the hammerheads that hold seats for the rest of their party which is completely agravating! grrr

And I know there are rules about that (just like at the pool) but in all the shows we been to havnt seen

anyone insist on taking open seats when they are being reserved for late arriving companions

  2. We just returned from the Sept 19 sailing, we were on the Lido deck in one of the new cabins. If was fantastic!!! I was worried about vibration issues however we barely felt anything ! Anyone who chooses aft cabins on higher up decks should not be surprised of slight vibrations. We have sailed the Regal in similar location and the Island isn't any different! We enjoyed it so much that we are booked in the same cabin for Feb, 2016. To everyone who will be sailing on the Island in the new cabins , worry not and enjoy a fabulous trip!!!!

Thanks for the update we are on Lido aft facing suite as well - this takes some worry about excessive vibrations out - thank you so much

  3. Just back from the 9/7/15 med cruise on the island princess. We had cabin C 731, also one of the new cabins. The first night, the vibrations were so bad we were not able to sleep. We called passenger services and they moved us to another mini suite C 214 for the night after sending the night manager to our room to experience the vibration.

The next day, upon request, they relocated us permanently to C 214 which we had no issues with. Looked like they moved someone else to C 731 who joined the ship mid- itinerary, however not sure about that.

I have sailed in aft facing and near aft cabins before and never felt any vibration this severe. Personally, I would never book an aft cabin on the island again, however I would sail on the island again. Service was great!

UGH thanks for the update we are on Lido Deck in the new section - its a suite hopefully the vibrations wont be as bad up there - we dont have any alternatives at this point all the suites are sold out! thanks for reporting back.

We are sailing Sept 19th, keeping my fingers crossed that any vibration won't be any worse than other ships' aft cabins!

We are in L726 (abit higher up) rinkrat10 please let us know how it goes!

  5. You may have read my report on aft cabins on the Island. Our room vibrated so much that the light bulbs unscrewed!!! We were on a cruise to the Panama Canal, and our cabin would never get cool, being on the end and next to the aft outside door. We would never book a cabin on the aft of the Island again.

The light bulbs unscrewed?? Me thinks this is a way of deflecting interest in these cabins so the competition isnt as great for what I think is the best location on the ship IMHO no flame-ons please.

  6. I hope you are right - kind of makes me nervous that they put the Teen Center in amoungst some of the most expensive suites - we only had a bit to say yes/no to the upgrade (talk about pressure!) but for the amount (and if there is a bit of noise) and getting the extra suite perks I couldnt turn it down -

  7. We were just able to upgrade to a full suite on the Island Princess Lido Deck. Deck Plan shows teen center on same deck - anyone know if this may be a problem? Not having teens, we dont know if that area may be loud etc. Also anyone know what hours for this area? For a full suite we are going for it now just wondering what weve got ourselves into! Thoughts and opinions wanted - thanks all.

  8. In checking out our Caribbean cruise I see our overnight is now Aruba - taking away Antigua from the original itinerary. I remember Aruba as being pretty cool with lots of things right by the ship - Im blank on Antigua - hope Celebrity made the right choice! Also Ive seen some folks say Bonaire was dropped from there itin - our itinerary has kept Bonaire so I guess it may be different based on scheduling.

  9. I know booking cant happen until May 21 - but if those of you on the list that get advance notice on the actual itineraries would one of you post it so we can do some advance planning and be ready for the 21st??

If anyone can do that it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
