Yes, adjoining not connecting. Balcony-inside. Ocean view-inside. I am not aware of any balcony-ocean view adjoining or connecting rooms. Would help to know which ship. See deck plans.
I have sailed with a balcony room and my kids (teens) across the hall in an inside room.

Alli can say is I payed 20% gratuity already for my dining package. That is all I will give for gratuity. No obligation to give more.
You are 100% correct. You are not required to give anything more. But, you do have the option, too. Enjoy all of your meals and don't feel obligated to leave any thing more than your signature.

What does the $14.95 charge get you? I thought the menu was a la carte?
-
The code is for prepaid service charge on your itinerary. The other 4 are easy to decode.
-
There could be a fee if you order a lobster tail with your entree or order an extra entree.

Thanks Keith. I like the porter idea.

Might book a ship-to-ship cruise at POM. Leaving from NCL and then going on Carnival. Is it possible to walk (with luggage) from the NCL terminal to the CCL terminal? If not, just might taxi/uber to Bayside Marketplace. Do you have to leave the port area?

Is it true that you receive an additional on board credit when you use the 2 cruise next deposits?
You don't get OBC when you use them, you get OBC only when you buy them on board. 2 will get you $250 OBC for the cruise you are on (basically, buy 1 get 1 free).

It is a long way to Negril. At least 1.5 hours from Montego Bay, so not sure from your location. Rick's gets very busy and crowded. May not be worth the travel time. Could also try Margarittaville in MoBay. Check out JTL Tours (jamaicatoursltd) or Viator.

We just spent a week this summer at Sandals Royal Caribbean and have been to Sandals Montego Bay. Both are near and should be similar cab fare. RC is more quiet. MB lobby has been remodeled and has a younger crowd. MB has a great lunch buffet. Drinks and service are the same quality at each. Sandals offers a free shuttle on the hour to each resort, so you could experience both if you have time. Both lobbies will call you a cab.

They will have a special Thanksgiving menu. The ship will be decorated.
-
The Airport Shuttle to downtown is cheaper (24 one way, 44 round trip, per person). Cabs are like 36 each way for 2 people.

It's always happy hour in NOLA. $3 for a dozen raw oysters (with purchase of beverage) at the Blind Pelican on St Charles St in Garden District (just take St Charles streetcar) during happy hour (I think 4-6pm).

We have done this tour. Do it. And book it when it shows. It does fill up. If 2 tours are offered, pick the later one. You will get back to the ship on time. Don't forget to walk over the rocks (to the left) and go to Ivan's. Everyone should experience Soggy Dollar!

Not anything different from other islands. I would not let that ruin your day/tour. Just say no thanks. We have used Bernard's. We loved it.

The day pass in Barbados is $125/person from 10am-6pm. You can get one at the reservation desk. Or contact Sandals. We are also considering a day pass. Let us know how the experience is.

We just returned from a week vacation in Jamaica. We did a Bob Marley excursion called Spirit of Reggae from Viator. It was an all day tour. Takes about 2 hours to get to Nine Mile from Montego Bay. The ride to and from is an adventure, not for the weak or just sit in the back so you cannot see. You have to go up and over the mountains, sometimes on 1 lane road. Be warned, once there, you can can get the "full" experience. Things for sale include "tea" and "cake" in various strengths. Our tour included lunch, jerk chicken with rice and peas. Very interesting and educational tour. Bob lives on. I would not recommend for kids under 16.

We did a day pass at Sandals Montego Bay for $85/person, 10am to 6pm. Food was great. Not many people. You can just walk up at the resv desk. Must take a taxi to get there. Sandals Royal Carib and Ochi are the same price. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are going back next week for a week.

I pack my prescription meds and vitamins in small ziplock bead bags (about 1 by 2 inches) in my carry-on. One bag for each day. Saves room over packing the bottles. Easy to grab in the AM and PM. I have never had a problem with security. I always carry all of the prescription printout sheets with me that shows my name with the med description.

I don't think the TV's even have video inputs, so a dvd player would be useless.

I used VIV tours. They carried our tubes and we went through the third cave. It was December and the water was cool. It does get dark in the caves. For footwear: I would recommend going to your local Goodwill Store and purchasing old sneakers, wear those on the tour, and when done just throw them away. You can bring extra shoes and clothes to change into. Bring a water camera. And make sure to keep your butt up when they tell you. Have fun!

We are staying Saturday March 11th
Kellie, we are on the same cruise in March 2017. Driving from the Houston area. We are staying at The Prytania Park hotel in the garden district. They offer free parking for the duration of the cruise, but you must stay 2 nights. The hotel is just 1 block from the St Charles streetcar. They do not offer a shuttle to the port, so you have to take a taxi to and from.

If you have a Specialty Dining Package (whether paid or as a promo) you can go to the restaurants and order whatever you like without having to worry about the a la carte pricing. The exception to this is that you are limited to one entree item, but are free to order as many appetizers or desserts as you like.
Rochelle
Rochelle is correct. You can only order 1 entree. You will get an itemized bill at the end of the meal, but it will be zeroed out. The bill allows you to add an extra gratuity, if you like, for excellent service. Just remember that your cruise fare already included the gratuity for the "free" specialty dining package.

And if you do take cash out in the casino (for the 3% fee) it doesn't show up as a cash advance on your credit card. It just becomes part of the total $$ you charge during the cruise. (In case your credit card charges more interest for cash advances:rolleyes:)
So,if you use your NCL credit card you actually get 2% back on the advance.
San Juan question

Our NCL cruise did not embark in Old San Juan. So if you are not in OSJ, you will have to take a taxi to wherever you want to go.
