Thank you.... we have booked and been assigned a cabana #...
( thru the shore excursions email center.. they are great )
Hope everyone had a great holiday !
-
No, absolutely not. It has always looked that way on the website, but rest assured, the cabana price is PER CABANA. My husband rented one just for ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed it, although it was maybe a bit $$ just for the 2 of us. We will be renting one again for our next cruise in Oct. of 2014, but there will be 4 of us.....
Thank you so much... I went ahead and completed it ! Ours is next October also !!!!!!
(HMC is 10/14 )
-
Went on to reserve my HMC cabana today and the rate is listed as per person $230.. I really have to pay almost $500 for 2 of us?

Hi, I live here as well. You mean how close is the AIRPORT to the Cruise
Terminal? Jacksonville itself? Very large, spread out city but the
previous poster is correct, there are ALOT of hotels right near the
airport with quite a few of them offering shuttle service to the ship.
Also, there is a new "outdoor mall" nearby. Rivercity Market Place
has lots of shops and restaurants.
Here is a link to a website and if you click on "book a hotel"....click on AIRPORT/NORTHSIDE.
Thank you !! ( for the grammar corrections AND the info ! ( I will check out that site.
Appreciate it

We were on the Magic in October and LOVED it..
Everyone has their preference... but please dont let others choose for you.
It's a gorgeous ship, we had incredible dining room staff... and a spectacular time !
-
Several threads on the first page about it.
Got em - thanks ! :)

We are a family with a young child that cruises together and I believe this is a huge mistake for Carnival. The prices are what attracts families to Carnival over Disney but going Disneyesque with the Suess branding will turn away families w/teens, couples, groups w/out kids........pretty much any adults without a child under 9.There plan to steal some of the Disney share will back fire when it costs them a greater % of their current customers. This is a great day for Royal, Princess ect. Im glad Im not a carnival share holder
I have a 15 year old and I have to agree with you. I am HAPPY for the families with small kids... ( and I am not a "hater" or a "scrooge") but my Dr. Suess days are done and that is how I choose to keep it. I hope its NOT on the Dream in October.
-
Found it thanks. Not news I am thrilled with.... reading the long threads now..
-
What is this Dr Suess business?
I am sure there are 100 threads...
I am on a very short lunch break and trying to look for info...
Anyone?
I am booked and paid in full for 2014 and dont want to be on a ship full of Dr Suess !! :D
Is this just for the kids camps?

I originally booked a suite - boarding pass says Priority but not FTTF. I added FTTF and now my boarding pass and luggage tags say FTTF.
It's probably just reflecting the last thing you added... no worries...suites boarded with FTTF last month in Galveston
-
I agree with all the above posters.....
Don't complain....
Just nod and smile and enjoy your FTTF !!!!!!
-
Is this $49.95 per person or per cabin? I'm trying to book it right now for my March Triumph cruise and it says "add guest" and looks like it charges per person. First time using this and I don't want to mess up.
Thanks in advance!!
Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
Just one needed per cabin :)
Have a great cruise !
-
Out of the 300 threads on the subject, I haven't see one that indicates FTTF boards before platinum/diamond. In Long Beach, FTTF gets on after platinum/diamond.
On our Magic cruise 10/2013 we ( FTTF ) were boarded WITH Platinum.
Not sure what the "norm" is.. just my experience
-
I have to say the policy seems perfectly reasonable to me ( and I do work in a legal field)
Look at it from the OTHER side.
If Carnival DIDN'T limit purchases like that - someone would sue them for "selling too much" and facilitating an injury etc etc etc
There are always 2 sides.......
-
On our Magic sailing 10/6/13-10/13/13 there were 60 total... released in sets of 15
-
I booked Early saver and paid in full...
Then they gave me $160 OBC last week due to the sale..
Now, this may be different for you because I am 323 days from sailing so my "final payment date" has not passed.....
-
Hi Carnival03 :)
When I phoned Carnival I was told the FTTF program
becomes available 120 days prior to the sail date, and
is available to 50 cabins. However I have read otherwise
within a few posts on here.
I am 323 days from sailing and purchase my FTTF already
-
We were really looking forward to purchasing FFTF. Just for all the perks. The cruise is in mid-April 2014, 150 days from now, and it's already sold out! What? Is it just not available yet or is it already sold out? Has anyone ever been able to get it after it being sold out? Maybe someone canceling?
FTTF sells VERY Fast,
I booked a few weeks ago for the 10/05/14 sailing of the Dream...and WAS able to get FTTF but only 13 were left ...and thats 11 months away !
But if someone cancels, you may have a shot..... check daily !!!
-
OK-I have forgotten but I am sure someone will know the answer for me. We made our final payment a couple weeks ago and now I see the price is a bit cheaper. I did not book early saver. Is there anything I can do to get the reduction or should I just quit looking to see what the current price is and just be happy that I am booked and leaving on the Breeze in January??? :) Thanks!
I booked Early saver a couple weeks ago for the 10/05/14 sailing of the Dream and I paid in full when booking.
Found a price drop this week....
I expected a credit to my credit card- but they gave me OBC instead ( which does now show on my docs ) ....
I know that is not what you asked.... .sorry.. I disgress.....
-
I WILL say....
we did not do It thru CC.....
Just as a private party.... our roll call met on a social networking site.
I have also heard there is no love lost between Carnival and CC....we were much better off being Unassociated.
-
Im sorry you had a bad experience...
We sailed the Magic 10/6 and did a 2 hour 'all you can drink" meet and greet.. It was amazing. Carnival's staff was incredible and they TRULY meant "all you can drink"...
There was maybe 40 of us in the Magic's "Vibe" club ( reserved ) and a great time. We paid $23 a person.. one of the highlights of the trip and we all became a big family
-
Perhaps she knows and doesn't want to share??? I meant the bacherette, not you Amy. Patiently waiting...
THIS is my guess.
OPEN BAR Cruise Review!! Fascination ~ 9/26/13
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
HI Grady - Thanks for your review.
We are going on the Fascination Oct 11. 2014
This will be our 3rd cruise...and we have only been on the larger ships prior to this.
I am both nervous, and a bit enchanted by seeing a smaller, older vessel.
Can someone tell me their (opinions ) "best" and "worst" parts of the Fascination by comparison to others...
such as the Splendor or Magic?
Thanks !!!!!!!!
