Thanks for the report!
You mentioned Bamboo. I assume this is the new complimentary restaurant? Could you tell me some of the items on the menu? Was it crowded? How was the food?
Thanks

Thanks for all the great advice. I bought the insurance last night.:)

We took the Boston to Bermuda cruise 5 years ago on the Spirit. During the cruise we found complimentary food at the 2 MDR, Blue Lagoon, barbecues on deck, room service and Buffet. Toward the end of the cruise we realized that complimentary food was available at some other unadvertised venues (sandwiches and snacks in the casino, popcorn in one bar and large bread pretzels in another bar). I know that the Dawn now has a complimentary Chinese Restaurant but are there other "unadvertised" foods/locations on the Dawn that have complimentary foods/snacks?
thanks

So when do you actually purchase the cruise insurance? I think I have gotten it for all but the very first one and I get it on my own, not through the cruise line... and I have always gotten it right after I book the cruise.
However, I was thinking why would I need it until final payment if I can cancel it with a full refund up till that time - so can you wait to buy it when your final payment is due or does it need to be bought right away when first booking??
We have 10 days from when we booked (expires on Friday)

Sailing on the Dawn from Boston in July. Driving to the port. Cost of insurance is $80 a person (4 of us). Do most of you get the insurance or is it basically a waste of money?
Thanks

Has anyone rented a whaler from this location?
Could you share your experience?
Is this located at the Naval Dockyard within walking distance
of the cruise ships?
-
I was wondering if you can by bus tokens on the Cruise Ship or any other
place, that would have shorter lines than the main ticket office?
-
Are there any places on the Dockyard that rent motor boats/whalers?
-
Does anyone have an email address for Somerset Bridge Watersports?
Has anyone rented a Whaler from the Dockyard? Were you happy
with them?

Thanks for all the help. Just booked cabin #8591.

I'd like to take a peek also (chach@myfairpoint.net).....thanks

We are going on a cruise in July 2015. The cabins that are available
in our price range are #8067, #8097, #8591, #9093, #9613 and #10589.
Does anyone recommend any of these cabins?
Thanks...

We are cruising from Boston to Bermuda on July 10th, 2015.
We want to rent a Boston whaler motor boat one day and possibly
kayaks another day. We would like to stay as close to the pier as
possible.
How are the rentals at the pier?
What other rental companies do you recommend?
Do you think renting a motorboat for 4 hours is long enough?
Thanks...

We are cruising on July 10th.
What is the earliest we can check our bags?
What is the earliest we can check in?
When to they allow you onto the ship?
Thanks...

We are taking a Boston to Bermuda cruise in July.
Where is the best place to park for the week?
Does anyone know of a place we can park and shuttle in to the pier?
Are there any hotels that have a deal where you can leave your car for
the week and they shuttle you over to the pier?
Thanks

Hello,
We are cruising this July and I have a few questions about the MDR Restaurants?
What complimentary drinks are served in the MDRs?
Does anyone have a menu or link for the Blue Lagoon?
Does anyone have a menu or link for any of the other
complimentary Restaurants?
Do any of the MDR still serve lobster?
Thanks

I'd love to see a list of the new food items or a copy of the
new menu?
thanks

We are planning on a Boston to Bermuda cruise in July 2015. I want to book directly with the NCL web site but it is $300-400 more than any other web site. What website do most people use to book their cruises? Does any web site include perks? Since I have never booked online before I want to make sure that I deal with reputable one.

We are looking forward to renting a motorboat in July. Is 4 hours long
enough to snorkel, swim and explore? I assume it gets very hot out there? Do you bring water from the ship or is there somewhere to buy it? What did you do for snorkel equipment and food for snacks?

Love to have the link once the 2015 details are made public.
thanks

We (2 adults mid-fifties, daughter 23, son 20) are planning on taking the Boston-Bermuda cruise from Boston on July 10th 2015.
Some questions:
If I book the July cruise and find a better rate, do they honor it?
We are booking an inside cabin. Is the middle of the ship better than the front or back? Is it better to get a higher or lower deck (I think decks 5-10 are available) ?
Any advice on where to park in Boston for the cruise ?
What is the proper tip (per bag) for the Cruise terminal Porters?
What is the earliest I should get to the port? What time do they start checking us in?
I think I am a Latitude Member (Bronze). Is the Welcome party for members worth going to?
What drinks are included in the Main Dining Rooms ?
Does anyone have the menu for the Blue Lagoon? Do they still have chicken wings?
Are there any Bermuda tours (either through the ship or independently) that you recommend that are worth the cost?
What is the average cost of drinks (alcohol) at Royal Naval Dockyard compared to on the ship ?
If we plan on doing a day trip around Bermuda and need to carry snack/food and drinks with us, what are we allowed to take off the ship in our knapsacks?
Thanks

Does anyone know the cost of a day pass to the Spa?
thanks

First set of questions.......
We (2 adults mid-fifties, daughter 23, son 20) are planning on taking the Boston-Bermuda cruise from Boston on 7/10/15. Since I can't seem to start a new thread I figured I'd piggyback on this thread.
Some questions we have:
Are there any Bermuda tours that you recommend that are worth the cost?
What drinks are included in the Main Dining Rooms ?
What is the average cost of drinks at Royal Naval Dockyard compared to the
ones on the ship ?
Any advice on where to park in Boston for the cruise ?
We have sailed on one NCL cruise in the past. Does that make us “Latitudes members” ?
If so, what benefits to we get?
If I book the July cruise and find a better rate, do they honor it?

More questions to come....

Is there anywhere on the internet that has current cruise Trip Reports?
The ones on the NCL board are very outdated and there is only one (very enjoyable) on that Cruise Critic board that I've found?
thanks...
