I am glad I opened this post, we are driving down to Jacksonville on the 13th and I never once thought about the Masters but driving directions has us going thru Augusta. I will take the slightly longer route of I-26

Enjoying your review!

Another question: I know I am in central time zone. Jacksonville is an hour ahead. What time is it in the bahamas? Same time?
So its 3:14 where I am
It is 4:14 in Jacksonville
What time is it in Nassau? I don't want to miss my excursions while I am there! Thanks!
1 more day! :)
You will stay on "ship" time the entire trip although in Nassau they are in the same time zone as Jacksonville.

Great review! I am your neighbor in Anderson SC and have an April 14th cruise planned on the Fascination. Did you drive down the day before or day of the cruise?
-
Enjoyed your review!
I am sailing on the Fascination for the 2nd time this April and like you I love to spend the time waiting on my cruise reading reviews.

I had read that Joseph "Super Charged" retired

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. I am leaving on the Fascination in April and had booked a room at the same Hampton Inn. I am happy to hear that you would recommend this hotel.

Did you feel it? My mom did, but I didn't. 4.4 is a pretty decent shaker-upper!
I felt it, I thought somene had switched my bed for one of those old coin operated vibrator beds, even woke the dog.

Hi tracier66!
Can you believe that the temp is supposed to get up to the 70s this next week? Wacky weather here in SC! Thanks for reading my review and I hope you have a great cruise in April on Fascination!
After all this wacky weather we have an earthquake event too

I am from SC also and enjoyed the snow for the few days we had it and now I am ready for Spring and my upcoming Fascination cruise in April.

Thank you for the responses, I will have to down load some Kansas tunes to see if that does not jog my memory

Dust in the Wind?
Carry On My Wayward Son?
Point of No Return?
I'm in my 40s too, they had some of the biggest hits of the 70s!
I must have blocked the 70's from my mind

Kansas is playing on our cruise. I am in my 40's and had to still look up who Kansas was.

I just saw where they changed our itinerary in Nassau from leaving at 8 pm to 1 am. Will they open the casino and shops while in port?

Once we got dressed for our day (in our Clemson gear of course) we headed up to the main dining room to check out brunch. Oddly, they seated most everyone that came in together, I guess trying to maximize space and make it easier on the wait staff. We never mind because we like getting to know as many as possible, but you could see the different points of view at one table. There were 8 of us and 6 of us were laughing it up and joining in. Two you would've barely known were there and you could tell didn't want to be. I just had some coffee and a muffin. Little Brad of course had steak and eggs. lol
After breakfast we walked around a bit and stopped to play some giant chess on the Lido Deck next to the pool. My son is becoming quite the chess fan. I whooped em in the first game. He was shocked, the little stinker. Although he caught me blind and beat me even faster in the second game, so I quit and told him he was grounded. ;-)
We went to the Taj Mahal Theater for the Fun Ashore & Fun Aboard Presentation at 10:30 to hear what the Cruise Director had to say and try and win some free stuff. No luck, but it was fun. Immediately following we went up top to David's Steakhouse for Steakhouse Secrets Revealed at 12pm to get a good seat. It filled up pretty quick. They demonstrated a salad, appetizer, main course and a dessert and gave everyone attending a sample of them all. My little foodie loved it. It was at this point that we learned about the Chef's Table dinner and signed up after the demo. More on that later.
I am just down the road from Clemson, are you orginally from here?

Welcome to our addiction! I have been thinking about traveling solo, how do you find out which cruises offer the solo rates?
-
I have a vupoint magic wand that will scan documents and then you plug it into your laptop and it will download plus it has a memory card. It cost less than $100, this may be an option if scanning is not available on the ship

On my son's first cruise he packed his s&s in his luggage to be set out the night before debarkation, had to go to guest services to get off the ship

Thank you!

I have already booked my cabana for LSC when we go there in April, do I need to go to shore excursion desk once I board to request which cabana I want?

Thanks for responding! I actually enjoy being a homebody. I stay gone so much that I love just being lazy in my house. Also even though I'm a night owl on the ship, I'm not like that when I'm home. A friend wanted to meet up for dinner at 9 pm one night a few months ago. I was like nine o'clock? That's too late! I'm not driving out there that late! LOL I guess that's me being a true gemini. I really am two different people at home and on a cruise. :)
I think someone from our roll call was from Winder. Enjoy the Paradise. She'll always be special to me being my first cruise. Hope you book the Breeze soon!
I enjoyed your review and the 9 pm comment made me laugh. I have to dvr any show that I want to watch if it comes on after 9. My dog starts looking at me with her "is it not time for bed" face around 9.

You can use your old mug.
-
Do you use your sail and sign card on LSC like you do on HMC?

Does anyone know if a suction cup hanging corner basket would stay in the shower. I'm thinking about bringing one for all the shampoo bottles, shaving items. I hate having the stuff all over the floor while showering.
I purchased a shower organizer from avon that goes over the shower curtain rod and holds full size products.
Little or no money for extra is it possible?
