  1. I also just got off the Liberty this past Saturday & YES the ship has problems. We were in 9280 (portside) & lost our AC one night for several hrs....lost....meaning it stopped blowing any air. The temp in our room was 76 by their thermometer. Their optimal temp is between 70 & 74. Once it was working again the room temp was 68/69. We also lost water pressure for a short period of time.....no water in sink, unable to flush toilet. The last sea day the power went out in the aft section of the buffet for about an hour....the power to the engines was also down....we were drifting for almost an hour. It's only a matter of time. All of that aside, we had an awesome cruise. I loved the Liberty!!!

  2. We will be experiencing MANY firsts on our upcoming cruise aboard the Liberty.

    First:

FTTF, Lido Deck Balcony, Private Cocktail Party with Roll Call group, Slot Pull with Roll Call group & Chef's Table not to mention our first visit to Aruba & Curacao! Excited beyond words!!!

  3. I believe you can only get obc when u are booked early saver. We are up to $549 in obc for our balcony on the Breeze.

We are booked early saver and we selected a specific balcony cabin on the Lido Deck. However the price reductions only seem to be available should we allow Carnival to PICK our cabin....Hence my question.

  4. We love our Lido deck balcony cabins. EXCEPT on Liberty. We booked 9276. There was a huge air intake vent over our heads. It sounded like a jet engine 24/7. We couldn't enjoy the balcony because of the noise. I implore everyone to stay away from 9276 through 9294 and 9275 through 9293.

See the red vent? Our cabin was directly below that.

Well crap! We are booked in 9280!

  5. I just got our confirmation for the Chef's Table for the Carnival Miracle. We don't cruise until next year but I am super excited. I have tried on my other cruises but never succeeded because I waited until it was to close to the cruise and then sold out. The ones who have gone on the Chef's Table did you consider this to be a good experience?

    Thanks

How did you reserve the Chef's Table ahead of time? I thought you had to take your chances and run to guest services to reserve. I would love to know how to reserve prior to boarding. Thanks in advance.

  6. I'll be sailing out of Tampa in January. A lot of people seem to like the Marriott Waterside, but they were already sold out for our date.

I ended up booking at the Renaissance near the Tampa airport and it gets great reviews online. It's closer to the airport than the cruise port though. They have an airport shuttle. The hotel is connected to International Plaza, which looks like an upscale mall with lots of restaurants.

I've stayed several times at the Renaissance you are referring to. Beautiful place and the shopping and restaurants within walking distance are fabulous. You will enjoy it tremendously!
