Forgot to add they we also stopped at a small beach on the way back to the ship as well.

Today’s port was Grand Cayman. This is a tender port but the boat ride was only about 5 minutes. We chose a Carnival excursion today called Cayman Crystal Caves, it requires a bus ride of probably 40 minutes but the driver was very informative about the area so you learn quite a lot about the area. The caves were definitely amazing and something you will not see everyday. If you are the adventurous type I would not hesitate to try this excursion.

We used the pier in Ocho Rios, this is a relatively small port with very little shops inside the gated area. I think the pier could handle two ships but we were the only ship there yesterday.

We used Resort for a Day for our excursion today. They provided transportation to and from the port and the resort itself was all inclusive. Jewel Paradise Cove which was adults only. It was very nice with lots of things to do. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice pool area with good food and drinks.

We went to the main theater last night to see the show Soulbound. This is a regular production show but now they put a Halloween twist on it. The show was not full at all so a lot of people missed out on a great performance.

If you are sailing in October Carnival uses the whole month for Halloween activities which is really cool. They have a pumpkin scavenger hunt that last all week so a cool thing for the kids and adults as well.

The sort of live in the review title is because I didn’t have internet most of the day possible reasons being Horizon internet doesn’t work? Wrong it’s actually pretty good Wifi is very spotty? Wrong it works pretty much everywhere The real reason and I’m sure there is probably a meme somewhere about us Cheers package for 2 = extra 1k no problem Internet package for 2= extra $200 no way we will share

The ocean was very smooth today which made for a great sea day

We ate in the MDR for dinner and they do have the new menu. Sorry for no pictures except for the shrimp which was really good. Everything was great and the service was excellent.

Jiji’s was open for lunch as well, you could choose either, but it’s not showing up on the app as an option for lunch on the first sea day.

This is Monday morning around 8am on deck 5 The same cruise as that deck party yesterday. One of the greatest things about cruising if you want big crowds and parties they have it but if you just need a little peace and quiet to relax you can find that as well.

Leaving Miami

The sail away party was packed and the cruise director has plenty of energy so a great time

We had originally booked a regular balcony but got an upgrade to a spa balcony and decided to take it. I would not recommend a spa balcony on deck 12 only because they are not really covered. We use our balcony a lot on most cruises so we are definitely concerned about shade this week.

We have never had this on board a ship but a nice addition

The pasta bar is back open for lunch which is a great alternative to the buffet. The service was great as well as the food and also very quick.

The port of Miami is really smooth and we were on board at 11:11 am which hopefully is a good luck sign for the week

Hello we are going to try our first live review from the Horizon this week hopefully to help future cruisers on the Horizon because cruise critic has gave us tons of helpful information over the years. Wish us luck 🍀 We definitely won’t be able to cover everything but we will definitely try to cover the things we enjoy and maybe some cool pictures along the way.
