Hi,
would like some feedback about what is to love about Princess lately.
I started with Princess, switched to Celebrity (smoking policy, drink packages) for the last 4 years but I now see that Princess is onside with those policies.
We are thinking about booking a March 2017 cruise with Princess. I am Platinum Captain's Circle. Sell me on this please :)

I second CCL's offering of multiple credits.

I make my own iced tea onboard.
Steep two tea bags in a mug til it's very dark. Pour this over a full glass of ice. The hot tea needs to be very strong because the melted ice will dilute the tea.
I do this at work and it drives my Indian (the ones Columbus was looking for not the ones he found) co-workers crazy. And yea it has to twice as strong before you pour it over ice.
The IC has "hand-crafted iced tea fusions" - http://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/beverages/ . I stick to coffee from there but that might be worth checking out.

Lives are the cruisers experience.
Each one is different.
There is no right or wrong how it is done.
Love sharing the voyages with them and their willingness to do it.
Their personalities come through. One person right now loves his photography. There is another one that always does lives who is a real foody. All very interesting.
I agree. You should report "your" experience. Some will like it and some won't. It offers the chance of a different point of view.

So far I've received $520 in dividends and $750 in OBC. I usually book interiors and 7 day trips with a couple 5 dayers mixed. I avg 3 cruises per 2 years.
Oh and all I own of CCL is the 100 share minimum for OBC.

I bought 100 shares a couple of years ago after my parents passed and I had a little extra money from the estate. Aside from the fact its gone up I've gotten $600 this year and about the same previous years in onboard credit. It been a pretty good deal for me.
I actually just faxed in paperwork today for a booking and the credit appeared on my account in less than 30 minutes.
So far I've received $520 in dividends and $750 in OBC. I usually book interiors and 7 day trips with a couple 5 dayers mixed. I avg 3 cruises per 2 years.

All hours on a cruise are happy hours.
Some of the hours on the last day are less than happy.

It's a Meta Upgrade, not Mega. Code is NUM for your TA. You cannot see it or change it yourself.

We typically book a balcony cabin and on Caribe deck on those ships that have the larger Caribe-deck balconies. We discussed the upgrade issue with our TA as we do not want to be "upgraded" to a higher deck with a smaller balcony. She suggested we limit upgrades to what she called a Mega upgrade which in our instance would be to a mini-suite or higher. We have opted for that strategy. Only one upgrade so far but that was to a full suite.

Thanks for that. I did read the form. I wasn't able to find any of those on Scottrade. I guess I'll just call Scottrade and ask them.
You should be able to find statements in a history section. Just use the latest one.

You might need additional software but I am able to pull up my latest statement on line and print. For printers, I choose the PDF option (my google chrome has that at work and on 3 laptops at home). That will let you save it locally as a PDF. Then you can open the PDF and using the highlighter tool, highlight the items you don't want to share (account number, other stocks or amounts) and choose black as the highlight color. Then you can print that to a real printer and fax it in with only the info Princess cares about (CCL 100 shares).

Do they allow photos in some of the areas toured? Or are they banned completely?
I was told no cameras but 3 people showed up with cameras and were allowed to take pics.
I wear the chef's jacket at Thanksgiving. :)

Can one coffee card be used by both myself and my husband? Does the card have your name or ust cabin number? Thanks

Attached is the Princess Shareholder On Board Credit form for 2015-16.
Credit showed up in under 2 hours. My God this process has improved!!

Canaveral would cut about 100 miles off of our drive And Tampa is less than an hour away. Tampa is a problem because of the bridge.
Other cruise lines have no problem cruising the Caribbean from those ports.
What's the issue with the bridge, I'm not familiar with it but would like Tampa as well.
I'd like to see Norfolk or Baltimore but Norfolk doesn't have good airport capabilities and most of the locals who cruise do the 6 month variety.

For the NY cruises, I wish I could get a Princess TRANSFER from the Amtrak station.
And I wish Princess would either; bring back the Sommelier program or replace Vines with a craft brew tap room.
For my 3rd wish, how about hitting Iceland from the East Coast?

We are looking at the possibility of booking a 9 night on the Emerald out of Ft Laud. It goes out to Grand Turk and then comes back in to Ft Laud, so it is really a B2B but they are selling and we are booking as a 9 night.
Has anyone done this? What we are wondering is, do you need to disembark and then get back on again, if so we will not book it. Second question is do they make you go thru the Muster drill a second time, I mainly ask because I am disabled and getting around in large crowds can be a bit much at times.

I don't think you get 2 credits as a 9 day trip but you get 2 if you do the 5 and 4 as B2B. Others would have to confirm that.
If you book a B2B you should be able to find a room available in both segments instead of doing a Guarantee.

So the Shareholder Benefit you got on Carnival will work on Princess too seeing Carnival owns Princess.
If you're not familiar with Shareholder benefits with Carnival - your timing is bad as the stock is up. But Cruise Critic has plenty of threads on the Shareholder topic.
BTW, nice going on the Suite - what a way to go.

Here’s my story, and what would you do?
Cancel the HAL and find a 4 day or 5 day in Oct and book them as a B2B then come home and take care of sis.

Seawitch is mild as far as an IPA. My brother is a hop head and would consider it watered down. I prefer milder IPAs like the growing Black IPA offerings.
Princess should scrap Vines. Years ago they scrapped the sommelier program. Now you go into Vines and as the rum slinger what their favorite wine is and they reply, "I don't like wine." So put in a tap room with flights of small market brews. Let people experience the craft brew explosion that Budweiser is against. Alaska brewing makes some good beer and in Grand Cayman I plan on hiking over to their tap room for samples and a t-shirt. I'd love a Pumpkin Ale flight on my upcoming Oct cruise.

We use the Victorinox Travel Power Strip. Its not inexpensive but it is compact, travels easily, and we have never had a problem on board. The three plugs and one USB simultaneous charging has been enough for our camera, phones, and iPads.
For iPhone and Kindle I use something like the one below but not that one. I wanted the 5ft cord and ability to plug in many USB items. Just go to Amazon or your favorite retailer and search for USB Charger and look at the multi for features you might want.
I use a white noise app on my iPhone when cruising so I leave it plugged in all night.

Bummer - we've only been on 9 Princess ships and they all red/white stripes on oposite sides. I found it to be very helpful the first few cruises.
It should be simple but with color Princess is very inconsistent.
BLUE, Left, Port, Even(cabin #s and # of letters) Princess fails on the color
RED, Right, Starboard, Odd(cabin #s and # of letters) Princess fails on the color

You should receive an email closer to sail with more accurate info. I just looked through my emails though and didn't see it for my cruise which is 2 weeks before yours.
