  1. does anyone know if the Westerdam has outlets for plugs at the bedside or only at the desk.  My husband uses a C-PAP machine and we need to know whether we need to bring extension cords to stretch from desk to bedside.  Thanks for your help.

Yes on a negative Covid test taken within 72 hrs of embark. However, keep an eye out because Carniva Cruise Line (so not Carnival Corp yet) just dropped the neg Covid test requirement! My money is on HAL following that in the near future

Thanks again.  One more thing.  Do you know of a convenient place in Boston to get the testing.  We're flying in from Charlotte NC on Sept. 9 2022 for a back to back.. Thank you.

Thanks for your review, we will be on Rotterdam in April. Amber Cove is not a planned stop for us at this time, but hopefully someday we can visit.

We're not fans of Grand Turk either. We might grab a beer at the Beached Whale but probably won't spend much time on shore.  My impression from January 2020 was that they never fully recovered after the 2017 Hurricanes. I was never there before so not really sure what it was like.

We are currently on the Edge for first leg of a B2B. Cruise Director told us there are 1,083 passengers and no children under the age of 12 on this 8/28 sailing. There are no unvaccinated passengers. She said it was a first for them. Concierge has told us that the Suites are fully booked. Next week’s 9/4 sailing they are expecting less passengers.

We are on the 9/4 sailing.  Would you please tell us who the Cruise Director is.  Sounds like we will almost have the ship to ourselves.

  5. never even thought to ask you, we left ours behind as well.  I was hoping the ship would kindly ship them, but apparently no such luck!  Oh well!  If I can't find replacement knives, it will make a great Christmas conversation when I give the cheese plates to my girls.  My fault

  6. I recall reading, at some point, that guests who have sailed on a previous Grand Voyage are eligible for additional savings on future Grand Voyages. Is this true, or am I confusing it with another line?

If such savings do exist on HAL, approximately what kind of savings is it? Minimal? Significant? Rough estimates and educated guesses welcome:)

we have been on two world cruises and on the second we did receive a dollar amount off our second W C as we had been on a previous grand voyage. I just can;t remember the $ amt, I want to say $500 but can't say for sure.
