We are on a QV cruise in the Adriatic. The times are mostly " Early Morning to Early Evening" with no exact times listed. When I look on CruiseMapper or like sites, there are no times listed for Cunard, the way they are for almost every line.
We are trying to book some tours and excursions on our own, but without solid port times, we cannot know if these tours will work.
Any suggestions on how we find this out? Perhaps someone who has been on a cruise to places like forfu, Split or Dubrovnik?
Thanks

Don't think you get something in that price range...or only if you have time to spend a week or two in Ushuaia to wait and book last-minute-berth on ships where people didn't show up or cancelled...
We ended up going in early 2023. We went with Hurtigruten. We got a deal with them and also paid in Norwegian Kroner, which further saved us money. It cost us about $8500 each for a 14 day cruise. It was the trip of a lifetime and worth every penny.

Are there any extra baggage restrictions for the flight to Ushuaia? We will each have a checked bag under 23kg and a carry on. Plus a person shoulder, messenger type bag. This is how we normally travel.

Thank you so much for your positive review. We sail on that ship on 14th Feb. Now I'm really excited to go.
As are we, see you in Buenos Aires.

Pesos in Argentina? What about getting from the airport. We have the Western Union account set up, and we get the Blue exchange rate with our Visa. But don't we need cash when we arrive to take a taxi from the airport? The rates we can get in the US are bad, 160 ARS to the dollar. Do we get $50 - $100 anyway, so we have cash on arrival. Or do we exchange at EZE?
How do you all deal with this?

Where there any extended hikes?

Our cruise is the second half of February, I know there is still a lot of daylight, but is there a chance to see the Southern Lights?

How often were there other ships at your stops?

Look at Hurtigruten. They are a Norwegian company. Get pricing from their US website (office in Seattle) for the expedition that interests you. Then go on the Norwegian website (www.hurtigruten.no) and get the NOK pricing and do the conversion to USD. Next, call the Seattle office and see if they will match the Norwegian website pricing. We saved a ton of money doing this.
I did not want to book directly on the Norwegian site because of the translation issues and the T&Cs are different.
We did this too and saved big. I went to the Norwegian site, and used Google Translate for it. Your way sounds better.
We leave Feb 13th.

Great info CDNP. Thanks so much.

CDNP, could you go over the night before the flight again. You said there was a wake up call at 2:30am, but people wanted breakfast at 1:30 am. (did anybody sleep? 🙂 ) I thought the flight was at 7 or 8am, what time did the bus leave the hotel?
Was relaying this info to my wife and trying to work out the timing.
Yes, I know, we will go with the flow. As long is there is coffee along the way, we are fine.

Thanks again. Fortunately we are staying in BA for a few days after.

Thanks for this. We are on the Amundsen Antarctic Circle Feb. 13. You gave some great info, especially about the 2:30 wake up, which isn't in the Hurtigruten info. I was also was wondering when they left port. Good to know.

What is the laundry situation? Is there only the paid service through the ship, or is there self service laundry on board. What are the costs?
Thanks

Another question. We both have good sunglasses. (I have Ray Bans) do we need to buy ski goggles or is that overkill?
-
Thanks. Looks like using a Visa card and getting pesos with Western Union is best.

Thanks for the responses Alan and miklinga.
This question might be far afield, but did exchange exchange for "Blue Dollars" in Argentina? If so, how did you change your money?

Going on the Amundsen Feb 14, Antarctic Circle and have some questions.
1. What to wear on board. I know it's casual, but is the ship chilly inside. Do we need a sweater or polarfleece vest when going to eat?
2. Internet? How much is does it cost, and is it good for email and web searches through the trip?
3. Sunscreen? Is there restrictions on the type of sunscreen we can use due to environmental concerns.
Thanks, I am sure I'll have more.

I'll be on the QV, hope it works better than the QM2.

Thanks for the responses.

We haven't cruised since pre-Covid. On our Cunard cruises, the on board internet then was painfully slow, 15 minutes just to download email. I have been on other cruises with faster speed so it's not an "all cruises" thing. Would like to hear from anybody from a recent cruise on how the internet connections were on Cunard now.
Thanks.

Thanks all.

This is for American passengers on Cunard. The Cunard site says not to use the card given out when vaccinated, but this is the proof that Americans get. I suppose they are referring to a NHS thing.
What proof do Americans have to show on Cunard cruises. We are leaving in less than 2 weeks.
My card attached
Thank you.
