  1. First, thanks for such an awesomely funny and through review! I am not even sailing on the Allure (we leave on the Oasis in 15 days however) and read every word of it! I would love you run into you on one of our cruises (however we would most likely have our two "Klingon's" with us, so you would probably run in the opposite direction....:p

Now, on to my question....I am not sure if it would be the same on the Oasis, but thought I would give it a shot. Do you know if Johnny Rocket's is open on the first day? I have had folks say "pretty sure it was open....." but no one to say 100%. We are aiming for that if we can get it and if not going over to Park Cafe if the line isn't snaking the ship! Thanks in advance. :)

  2. The most bizarre tasting dessert of the week, and I have no clue what it was called. My wife said it tasted like a Ferrero Rocher and she was exactly right. It tasted just like one, right down to the texture and flavour. If you like Ferrero Rocher, you will like this dessert.

So, we leave VERY soon and since food is the focus of all of our vacations (we are the family talking about breakfast at dinner, lunch at breakfast....you get the idea), I was THRILLED to read this review. Then to read the above......YOU HAD ME AT ROCHER!!!!!!! Can't wait. Thanks for taking the time. :):D

  3. With the kids I would recommend going to Park Cafe right away and relaxing a bit. Then head up to the sports deck and go to the Wipeout Cafe and let the kids grab anything they want. They'll love that! And they'll love checking out the sports deck with the zip line, Flowriders and mini golf!

As I say above, we will head to one of the three (JR, Wipeout or Park) depending on the crowds. ;) I assume we will end up on the sports desk soon after we board.....I can see my almost two year old (he actually turns two while cruising) disrupting all of our golf games (love him for it...well maybe not our other kids). :p:) Thanks again.

  4. We were all very tired, but the girls also just couldn't sit still...and I should mention they're both very accustom to restaurants - we took them to the main dining room every night.

Thanks so much for the reply....all of the kids (our two and my niece and nephew) are all very accustomed to restaurants as well, so it is nice to hear that even those that go frequently wouldn't LOVE to just sit at a place like that just after getting on board. :p I think we will see where the crowds go and just head to one of the other two that day.... Thanks again to you and Brian. :)

  5. First, thanks for the amazing review.....its been said over and over, but it is proving VERY helpful in the planning of our cruise! I am so glad I was able to find it after all this time. Second, I know you didn't travel with kids but was wondering if you had any helpful hint for what to hit or 100% NOT hit with kids (we wouldn't dream of taking them to the Chef's Table, Chops, etc). Are there places that we should steer clear of? Lastly, for the first day lunch (since we have 4 kids ranging from 2 years old to 8 years old) we were thinking about doing Johnny Rocket's or Park Cafe since I believe they are close to each other and would be good for them and close if one is CrAZy (would love to do Giovanni's, but don't think we could convince the kids to eat the stuffed chicken :p. Well, thanks again.......we are getting EXCITED. :D
