Can you please tell us your experience at the Sirkecki Mansion? The reviews on trip advisor are mixed.
So sorry, we had to cancel that trip because, you know, Covid! So can't help.

Panama Canal Cruise back to back from Miami coming up.
Oceania sent notice of possible Yellow Fever vaccine and anti malaria treatment may be needed.
Since not going into any rural areas nor extended periods off ship, are these necessary? Oceania and countries are not requiring, just suggesting.
No, not needed. I think they just have to send the notice. See you soon!!

My old AT&T plan includes Canada, Mexico and South America without $10 a month additional for that. It also includes MAX. I have a feeling that their new plan would cost more than I am paying now.
Wow, sounds like you've got a great deal then. My old plan included Mexico and Canada but not SA. 65.00 for the old one and 75.00 for the new.

AT&T has a new plan. For an additional 10.00 a month one can add Mexico and South America to one's plan, includes unlimited text and calls. Previously we paid 65.00 a month and then had the international plan of 10.00 per DAY when we travel. So, this is a good deal when we travel next month to Central and South America.

We will be in a concierge verandah on Vista this Fall and was wondering if any of the interior walls are metal? We like to use magnetic hooks on the wall by the mirror (for invitations and other paperwork so not to get lost) and by the door (for hats, etc,). TIA
Yes we were able to use our magnetic hooks on the walls on Vista.

Is Peter still the Cruise Director aboard Marina now? He was the CD earlier in the year Lima to Miami, and I'm wondering if he's still on.
Oh I hope he is our cd in December!

If you were in a PH why did you not ask your butler for popcorn/pretzel or maybe you did & I missed that comment
There is no perfect cruise line some suit some people more than others
Enjoy what ever cruise you choose
All the bars have pretzels and peanuts. I suppose, as with any cruiseline, there is a learning curve as to what is where and who does what. We've been on enough that we have relationships with several of the managers so we know who to whine to. So sorry you were disappointed.

The price on O website is NOT the Summer Sale price. Call O today or your TA and ask for sale price. The sale price will include SM.
Our 31 day Grand Voyage is being split to a B2B. Comes out about $2,000 less even with losing $800 on board booking. We now get SM, $500 Platinum SBC and 2 spa certificates for each cruise. There is no B2B 5% discount. No stockholder credit.
My TA did say there had to be a cabin available in the category to get sale price or you can go to another cabin level.
If you booked on board, they should honor their promise of “best price”.We saved 6K doing the same thing! Good to have an awesome TA to sort it all out. We had to do it on our final day as well!!

We just saved over 5k on our Miami to Buenos Aires itinerary in December. Our final payment was due today. Our stellar TA had to split the cruise from a GV and then rebook as 2 cruises. We did have to switch to simply more but this will benefit us a lot. Very please. Not all change is bad.

Ok but how do you compress them for the trip home?
It's a hand pump. Just bring extra bags in case one springs a leak.

Has the menu in Toscana changed at All?
Is it still the same that's shown on Os web site? Since Giada is godmother do you think she might influence the menus
It's pretty much the same menu and same experience. There are a couple of new 'Giada' created items on the menu.

Actually, it wasn't a joke. O hires many chefs of Indian descent so it *could* work. As to spice/heat I grew up in the CA Central Valley so I say bring it. When we go to Red Ginger, I request they up the spice/heat quotient in my dishes and haven't been disappointed. Yet.
All that being said, I know that this would never happen and I was just wishing out loud like we all do from time to time. I've also never ate at a Cheesecake Factory but give me a good taco truck and you'll have a happy girl 😊.
I think this is a great idea! I would love to see more interesting food choices. I don’t eat red meat and there is way too much of that already on cruises! I grew up in Fresno….how about you?

That's interesting. We were in the same type cabin on the other side and found the mattresses firm and didn't feel any gel top. Felt totally different from all my previous cruises on Oceania. At first I thought the mattresses hadn't been broken in but I don't think that is the reason.
That is exactly how we felt! I wonder if they just didn't get some of the gel tops? Like the little clocks by the bedside were missing and they told us everything hadn't been unpacked yet! thanks for responding, nice to know we aren't alone!

Yes. I had this injection in Barcelona while on a 3 leg cruise. It went very smoothly but did take a bit of planning/dialogue with the facility prior to arrival. We had only 1 day in Barcelona so I had to make sure that it could be done in my time constraint which was not their normal practice.
thank you so much! I am glad it went well and isn't it great to have this option for those who need it? We figured it will take some clear planning, although we will be in Lima for 2 whole days. Thanks again, this is comforting!

1) The interval between injections can vary by patient. in some cases up to 12 weeks between injections.
2) ”Regular” Medicare does not cover services outside the US. YMMV with other payers, especially for what might be considered “routine” treatment. I’m not judging quality of care, only willingness of payer to pay.
Personally, I’d be concerned about using a provider I didn’t know administering a medication that may or may not be what I’ve used before and then pretty much immediately departing the vicinity where service was delivered.
Do you get these shots? Yes we know about the insurance etc. We also know that these are done worldwide and there are highly train opthamologists everywhere. Cost are way less than in the US. Shots here are 3500. each. Right now he's at 4 week intervals.

Have anyone of you been successful at getting your eye shot for AMD while cruising? We are wanting to cruise longer than the 4 week interval allows and searching, currently, for options in Lima but would be interested in others experiences elsewhere.
Please don't respond unless you have this experience. We don't need advice or worries about medical services available outside the US. Sorry if we made anyone squeamish with the thought of eye shots!
Thanks! Kim

maybe not broken in yet
They have barely been sailing a month & you would have been maybe the 1st to use the bed 🤔

Aha! There was no gel pillow top on our mattress. I think there has always been one in the past. I will have to check with them to see if they just didn't have them or if ours was must missing.

The mattresses are still listed for sale when you go their website. Do you think it could be these are so new and not yet broken in?
Oh, ok. I guess I just missed the brochure in the room. Could be, put seemed like the pillow top was missing. We have a European sleepworks mattress at home and they used to seem comparable. Just seemed very different. We were on sirena last year and they seemed ‘normal’.

We have always loved the beds on Oceania. Just got off a month on vista and pretty sure they have changed their brand of mattress. We found them firmer than before. Made for some shoulder discomfort and a firmer sleep. I know they used to sell their awesome mattresses but no longer do. I don’t think it’s our imagination or maybe it’s just that the mattresses are totally new?
anybody else notice this?

We normally do also but they are quite heavy. I was trying to reduce our baggage weight if possible.
Ok then. Please let me know what they tell you. We had a PH room years ago which came with a pillow menu, but none of those worked for us. We both have tender necks so the weight is worth it for us but I totally get it!
