Colo Cruiser- We were flying in the day before so we did not look and personalizer 24 hours before the cruise. We had printed our luggage tags 2 day before the cruise and the up grade was not there. When we got to the pier the agent looked at the info in front of him with a funny look and asked me if I was sailing with a person named_____ (someone I did not know) I said no. He looked again and said they moved you to a different room he was looking at the deck plan and could not find the new room. Then he got this big surprised look on his face and said "They upgraded you to the grand suite"

When my DH and I cruised on the one day on the Golden we were upgraded at the pier from a mini to the Grand suite. Hope you have the same luck:)

I wonder if it is a true extra OBC or the shipboard credit you would usually get if you went to the website and booked on line for that cruise.

I throw out the ice in the ice bucket and wash it and the tongs with soap and water. Who knows when it has washed last. I also do this in hotels too.

There was a "stuff a bag" laundry day on the Royal on our 11 day Baltic cruise last month. I think it was $20-25.

I agree with the previous post regarding the 45 min ferry ride to Tulum the ride was ROUGH! About 1/2 the people were using the provided bags  and me and my husband felt very ill all the way there. We bought Dramamine in town for the ride back. So be aware if you are prone to sea sickness take meds before the ferry ride. I don't remember any recommendations about what to wear but, if the tour information recommends specific attire there is probably a reason. I also assume it is for sun and/or bug protection.

We were on an 11 Baltic cruise and the price for the Enclave was $239pp but if you booked as a couple on the first day it was $199pp and you each got a free body scrub.

I just got off the Royal on a Baltic cruise stayed in M-103. It is forward and the balcony door were never locked. The balcony was HUGH! One downside is because of the curve of the ship the view are not as good and on the side of the ship. We did not have any issue with motion but, on night I heard a whistling for about a minute from the wind. Depending on the direction of the wind the balcony may be quite windy or no wind at all.

Me and my DH just got off the Royal Princess room M-103. We were on a Baltic cruise and we could not use the balcony much due to the cool weather. The time we were on the balcony the wind was non existent many times it was coming from the back of the ship so we had no wind. We ate lunch on our balcony one at sea day when the weather was good and there was no breeze at all. The one downside is because of the curve of the ship the view was not as good as on the side of the ship. We did not feel any more motion that if we were in a cabin in a different location. One night while sleeping I heard a whistling noise for a few minutes but that was all. We enjoyed this room because the balcony was HUGH! We would have enjoyed it even more if the weather was warmer.

If it says pricing is not available it means one of two things:
a) Cruise is sold out.
b) They are doing computer maintenance
caribill,
I thought the same thing. But, I checked shortly before this started happening and there were over 73 total rooms still available. I'm struggling to believe that all of them filled up in the course of a day or two. And, the overlapping cruise that joins ours on the third day is still showing a few rooms available. When you search that cruise, you don't get that error. Also, I don't think it's the computer maintenance thing because it has been like this for over a month. I check it every day. Not really a big deal since we are past final payment and we got a pretty good deal to begin with. Just makes me curious about what the reason might be. Thanks for your suggestions.

We are booked on a Baltic cruise and for about 1 month when I click on update price it states-We have experienced a technical issue, please update later. It looks like our cruise is just about full. On our cruise you can embark and disembark from several ports on different days and when I look at those dates there are a few cabins left but on our dates you can't even look at pricing. I thought it might have to do with our stop in Russia but, I don't know for sure. Has anyone seen this before?

We were on the Ruby in January and it was available then but, we did not know about it until the day before the end of the cruise.

I am going on a 11 day cruise and I will already have Shellac on my nails. It will not last the entire 2 weeks that I will be on vacation, it usually only lasts about 10 days then it starts to peel and I have a tendency to peel it even more. I checked the Princess website and I can have Shellac applied for $45. Can I have my old Shellac removed and reapplied and how much does it cost?
-
I would like to know the answer to this question too. My and my DH enjoy playing.

We did the same thing when we went on a cruise with my in-laws. My husband e-mailed princess and got some OBC it was not the full amount but, I don't remember how much and ours was after final payment.

I agree with many of the other posts to book two cabins if you can afford it. 3 adult women in one room is very hard. I went with my sister and mother on a cruise and we had to getup very early for all of us the shower before our tours and if someone snores that's another issue!
-
We always buy FFC while onboard and transfer it to our TA. I think if you wait until you get home the OBC is less that if you get it while on board.

It depends on where I am cruising. I wear my wedding band and engagement ring on most cruises but, when I went to Africa and Egypt I wore a inexpensive gold band ($70). In some countries it is recommended to wear a wedding band even if you are not married especially if you are traveling alone to make it look like you are there with someone.

We are flying Delta at 10:10am from Copenhagen through Amsterdam to Detroit. Is EZ check available for international flights? Does our flight have to be later in the day? We have used it when we flew from Ft. Lauderdale and loved this service it is so easy.
-
My DH and I will be disembarking the Royal on Aug 30th. We plan on doing the express walk off in the first group and take a taxi to the airport. Our flight leaves at 10:10am. Is this doable? Or should we take the Princess transfer? Will Princess assure us that we will not miss our flight? It looks like the will be 3 ships in port that day.

Len- Thanks for letting me know I won't need roubles. We will just plan to use our credit card if we purchase anything. The only thing I plan on buying is a set of nesting dolls.
-
We will be on a SPB tour while in St Petersburg. Will we need Russian roubles for the restroom or to purchase a bottle of water?

Gwen I am loving your daily posts. My DH and I will be on the same Baltic cruise in August. I have one request, can you check the Princess Patter and see if they offer the folklore show on board the night you overnight in St Petersburg. We are planning on doing a land tour that night to a folklore show for $70pp but, if they offer something similar on board we might just relax and see the one offered on the ship. I am getting even more excited for our cruise reading your posts.

My sister is also very afraid of heights and I don't like them so much myself. The ride up was about 15 min if I remember right. My sister preferred to sit closer to the middle as she felt uncomfortable sitting right next to the edge. I hope your husband can go up. It is beautiful at the top. We also only paid for one trip down the rollercoaster with our original tour ticket but, we paid extra to go again. The more rides you take the cheaper it is per ride. Enjoy!

I also wanted to add that the casino was opened on our one day cruise for about 2 hours (while we were in international waters) It was a good thing I won $1000 and I did not give it back which I usually do because I stay to long at the table.
