Lol! I agree.
How does the op know they are staff? Are they in uniform? Of so, should they be telco g while at work?
Could it be this obscure hammock-ed area was installed for the crew?
OP,
Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Because I recognize them from the ship and they disembark the tender from the crew area.

This is really about principal. I pay between $500-$1000
for a 7 day cruise and I would like a hammock please! Don't need to compete with staff on this. They get there every week and Carnival should take care of all.

Just wondering, if you were on the first tender, how did they get there before you?
The first tender boat has 2 levels, the bottom level is where the carts of supplies and food as well as Carnival employees sit. They get off first, then the upper level gets off. I have to sit on the upper level and get off after the employees and supplies get off.
The island has 6-7 hammocks and I usually don't get one. I suggest Carnival install more hammocks or have a separate crew area.

I think most people wouldn't notice who don't frequent the island, but I've been there 5 times this year and it is obvious to me and I always catch the first tender.

I love Half Moon Cay and one of my favorite things to do is relax in one of the hammocks located down the beach. I am platinum so I'm able to catch the first tender to the island. Despite arriving very early, I have noticed that all the hammocks are quickly taken by Carnival employees who have the day off. I have noticed this on every trip to the island and I don't think it is right 😕.

I'm curious as well. Would love to do the Chef's Table again but not until they change the menu.

Movie under the stars and tea time.

Enjoying your review. Great pictures! This is my favorite itinerary.

Mac & cheese and the double chocolate brownie.
-
Another option which requires no baking:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4-1/2 cup fresh squeezed key lime juice
8 0z softened cream cheese
Graham cracker crust
-
Just make sure you use key limes and not regular limes. Makes all the difference in the world.

Hello all,
I'm curious about the photo taken when you first board. Does it have to be done or can you just politely keep walking and opt out?
This will be my first solo trip and I'm honestly not sure I want to do it.
Any advice much appreciated
Thanks
You can always opt out. My understanding is the photographers get paid based on how many pictures they take. Whether you purchase or not. So I usually let them snap the shot although I know I'm not buying.

This would be a nice gift. Hope to get it next month, but I'd still be happy with a mug or tumbler.

$850 first night on a 5 cent slot machine after 3 pulls.

This is a great deal on Carnival for VIFP Club Members. Oct. 24, 2014- 8 night repositioning NYC-San Juan. Insides $200, OV $280, balcony $360 plus tax. All categories include a $200 OBC . Must book on their website with your VIFP number.

Just wondering if there is a way to explore the other side of the island. The part away from the beach and amenities when you get off the ship. I have walked the main beach all the way to the end, but what about the back side of the island? Anyone venture there?

These sound great!

My latest deal was a Carnival Conquest 1A category- 7 day Eastern Caribbean 9/28/14 for $279 plus tax. With air less than $200, my total was under $600 for 7 days.

We always tip between $2-$3.

This has happened every cruise since becoming platinum. I
usually don't see my bags until 4 pm. Doesn't bother me though.

I will be on the same ship and have a noon flight from Fort Lauderdale. You might want to do the self-assist option when disembarking. You will be among the first group off the ship, but you must carry all of your luggage. If that is not possible, just notify guest services of your early flight so you can get luggage tags that will get you off earlier.

Where do you apply for a Cambodian visa? Is it better to do this ahead of time or at the airport? We are flying from Bangkok.

Just off the Freedom. Received a coffee mug.
