Which is better Paradise Beach or Mr. Sanchos for family?
Which has the better beach? Restaurants? Staff etc
I know Mr. Sanchos is AI and Paradise is not so assuming two adults and two kids, plus lunch for 4, 10 alcoholic beverages, drinks for kids etc would we probably end up spending the same at both places?

I'm not usually a nervous traveler but traveling with kids adds another layer of worry. We usually take the kids to Disney World or Universal and I feel "safe" there (maybe a false sense of security). Has anyone had their kids on this zip line and would they recommend it for an adventurous 8 year old? And can they tandem for the long longs?
-
Thanks everyone. Good to be able to manage her expectations before we sail.
-
Do they let you tandem ride? We would be far below the max weight if they let me ride with her.

My daughter is 52 inches but only 69 pounds. She really wants to try the zip line but I'm not sure if 69 lbs is close enough to let her ride?

flying in a few days early is smart.
Key West for the day from FLL will take you about 4+ hours each way if the traffic is good -- that's not a day trip. :(
What hotel is showing you $39 for parking plus resort fees?
Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, it was $42.00 per night for parking and $33.00 per night for resort fees. My error, it will be $75 US which is $95 Canadian at today rate (and it looks like the exchange is getting worse).

We are traveling from Newfoundland and even in April we can have nasty snow storms so we need to get to Florida a few days in advance. My biggest nightmare would be missing an entire cruise for 4 people because of we got stuck in a snow storm. We like to drive around, might even venture down to Key West for the day...

Resort fees AND parking adding another $100/per night to cost.
I booked a hotel and paid for it upfront (I have the option to cancel before specific date) and then in the fine print it was $50.00 US per night resort feels and $39.00 US per day parking.
I understand that we will likely have to pay for parking and perhaps even resort fees but it would be nice if at least the resort fees were stated somewhere before you book the room.

Thanks everyone, good advice. I didn't realize I would be able to link the two reservations once I get on board. How did we all sail before CC? :):D:D

We have two rooms (adjoining) for our family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids). Two kids will be in one room and parents in the other but we had to book one adult in each room because the kids are under age. Long story long, I received an inboard credit because of an error by RCCL. They asked me if I wanted it split between the two rooms and, not thinking, I said not to bother and just put it on my room. My husband likes to play poker and now I'm sorry I didn't put the credit on the other room that was booked in his name. Will they move the OBC for me? Should I ask before we sail?

Beachside Village Resort looks fabulous but its unavailable for our dates.
My preference is something on the beach but I'm finding the resort fees and parking adding another $100/per night to cost.
Still looking so any advice is appreciated.

We've been to most ports in the Caribbean but never Falmouth. We are looking for recommendations for an excursion for a family of 4, including kids 9 and 14. We like beaches, zip lining...we're actually pretty open too options. I'm concerned about safety in Jamaica so a reputable company and something whereby there will be other people around (I don't want a private tour of any kind.) Thanks in advance!

We are a "fly by the seat of your pants" kind of family so I would prefer not to schedule all the entertainment in advance. For those who have sailed the Harmony do you think we are ok to take our chances and hope to see most of the shows if we book the day of?

Looking for a recommendation for a Fort Lauderdale hotel, on the beach (or close) without resort fees for family of 4 pre-cruise.
Thank you Alison:D

I've been reading plenty of threads on AI in Cozumel. Looking for your thoughts on Nachi Cocom vs Mr. Sanchos for an 8 and 14 year old girls. I like the thought of Nachi being less crowded and more relaxing but wondering if the crowds at Mr. Sanchos are worth it to keep the kids happy?

OK how about 11611 and 11613...this is fun

I posted this question on the Roatan board but didn't receive any responses. We are on the Norwegian Jade this month so I thought someone here might know. Are there Zipline vendors waiting at the port that allow you to book on the fly? We are just going to wing it but if I could book either South Shore Ziplining or Jungle Top Zipline when I get there that would be great.

I logged in and entered my reservation for next month's cruise and it tells me its not valid. I'm not even going to bother calling this week, I bet they are inundated with troubleshooting calls.
