  1. DH and I were on the Diamond from February 6th thru February 18th. We had a smooth crossing, gorgeous weather, and made all of our ports. I'm disappointed for you, but Melbourne was also my least favorite port. I hope the weather improves for you.

For the person that asked, we did have two daily BOGOs. One was late afternoon in the Wheelhouse and the other was around 10:00 pm in Skywalker's.

Good to hear about BOGO's. Were you offered a wine package thanks? On Diamond in 3 weeks.

  2. We were on Diamond Princess when we did our b2b cruises in Japan with the turnaround port in Yokohama and they did have a separate security line for passengers reboarding the ship. It was a quick and easy process. I would assume HAL have similar set up.

We will be in Yokohama, b2b cruises in April. Does Princess offer tours for the day? Nothing showing on either cruises in cruise excursion lists.

  3. This is what the TA replied

"When speaking with the cruise line I have asked what your options are in relation to cancelling the bookings and also changing them. If you were to cancel there would not be any option for a refund. I have also requested the option to change the sail dates if we cannot get a refund and they have advised that this is also not possible at this stage. They have advised any changes would have been required prior to 151 days of sailing which was before 27th November 2015."

Bit silly when we didn't book until 25th Nov. Were told on board we had until Feb. to cancel with full refund, so thought we could go home and look at options. We booked 2 B2B so have double deposit. Did not take any OBC on that cruise. Don't think it was offered.

Rang Celebrity Australia and they say we won't get our deposit back and won't give any information on where to send a protest letter. Say we have to get that from TA. Waiting for a reply about that.

  4. Well have my answer. We were told on board that it was fully refundable if cancelled before final payment. We would not have booked otherwise. Obviously the Reps do not know Australian rules and were quoting US rules. We are now being told by Celebrity Australia that we will loose our deposit and cannot get any credit. Not really fair I think when we were given the wrong information.

  5. We booked 2 B2B cruises while onboard and told we would definitely get our deposit back if cancelled before final payment date. Have now tried to cancel and they said we will loose deposit because we did not cancel before 175 days. We only booked 3 days before that and we were still onboard at 175 days. Anyone else this has happened to? Thanks

  6. I'm of the group that my daily automatic gratuities cover my F&B staff, wether I eat in cabin, buffet, MDR or Specialty restaurant.

Therefore I do not tip additional when room service is delivered. Honestly, the majority of deliveries I get they don't even stay long enough to accept one.

Thanks for being honest. I imagine most people who comment on this are the ones who tip. As an Aussie we prepay gratuties as we feel uncomfortable with the whole tipping process. (Not that we are mean, we do tip if we should) :)
