Traveled from Barcelona to Rome on Riviera after dry dock and the ship is in perfect condition. Red Ginger sea bass and watermelon and duck salad is fabulous. The steak in Polo overdone (same as last year on Marina). Overall you will be more than pleased with your cruise. Enjoy!:)

Recent reviews report a worn , tired ship in need of serious refurbishment. Does anyone know when/if this will occur?

When was the Silver Shadow in dry dock last? And when is she scheduled to be refit? Am considering the October 18,2015 Hong Kong to Singapore cruise. Any pearls of wisdom from recent cruisers?

For Bruges last April on the Marina a free shuttle dropped us 200 yards from the train station to catch a 20-30 minute train to Bruges. Long line to purchase tickets but the line moved quickly and if you had a credit card with chip technology the self service machines were available. I don't think you could purchase a ticket on the train. Well worth the minor hassle vrs the expensive ship's tour and Bruges is completely flat and walkable. Free wifi at the tourist center also a plus.

Agree 100% with dundeene. Let your travel agent know what you are willing to pay because the up sell offer may vanish before you hear about it. We were lucky enough to grab one from veranda to PH on our Riviera cruise last spring and are now totally spoiled.:)
