  2. We stayed here end of November ***** La Quinta Miami Airport EAST ***** Located at the very eastern end of the MIA runway Next to Bennigans Next to Embassy Suites Next to Red Roof Inn * Free Shuttle to Port of Miami * Free Parking for 7 days This is not a place that you will write home about although it was clean and comfy. The rooms are actually quite nice. The overall appearance of the hotel outside and public areas inside the hotel are just plain. No restaurant or bar in the hotel. The area is a nothing area. this is just a place to park your car and sleep. Don't expect to walk around to pass the time. Bennigans is just accross the parking lot which you can walk. Free breakfast is plentiful but simple. It was crowded and busy. Dinner at Bennigans was ok -- it was as expected for a Bennigans. Bar was well stocked. Watch as they add the tip onto the check. no need to add another tip. Shuttle to Port of Miami was on time (must check in for shuttle night before) Return to Hotel after cruise we used a cab (approx $26 plus tip, approx 15-20 minutes) Free parking (park anywhere on the property, must check in at front desk) We would stay here again for the same purpose.
  3. I beleive that we have preferred early boarding since we have a concierge stateroom. When we board, will the rooms be ready? Thanks.
  4. Will be in port at Santo Tomas in early Dec 8am-5pm. Not interested in a 1+ hour bus ride or a :45 minute rickity fast boat to an excursion. What can we do close to the port? We are an active Mid 40's couple.
  5. Will be in port at Belize City in early Dec 8am-6pm. Not interested in a 1+ hour bus ride or a :45 minute rickity fast boat to an excursion. What can we do close to the port? We are an active Mid 40's couple.
  6. Is there anything interesting in this area for dinner? Attractions? Bar/Drinks? Thanks!
  7. - Biking we enjoy, when it's not congested. Is it congested in the KW area? - Can we do Hemmingway (just to look, no tour), Butterfly Atrium, and Truman's Little White House (tour) in between 10am and 2pm? On bikes? - 2pm-4:30 we can go to the Schooner Wharf and enjoy some drinks before our 5pm ship departure
  8. Any opinions on which Mayan Ruin excursion would be the best pick to choose from? We are in our mid 40's and moderately active. Quirigua Ruins (available out of Port Santo Tomas, Guatemala) -or- Lamanai Ruins (available out of Belize City, Belize)
  9. Any opinions on which Mayan Ruin excursion would be the best pick to choose from? We are in our mid 40's and moderately active. Quirigua Ruins (available out of Port Santo Tomas, Guatemala) -or- Lamanai Ruins (available out of Belize City, Belize)
  10. We will be sailing Regatta (Our 1st Oceania) for 7 nights in the Caribbean this Dec. We are in our mid 40's and moderately active. We understand about the "country club" style -- how much of what clothing is an appropriate amount to pack? Men? Women? Thanks....
  11. We are a mid 40's couple doing 1 night pre-cruise and 1 night post-cruise at one of the hotels located at the MIA airport area (since there is free 7 night parking available and shuttle to port of Miami). - we have our own car. we would like to see a different part of Miami other than South Beach. Rustic/Authentic cuban food is something that we want to try. Cuban Culture we want to try. We are somewhat adventurous but know nothing about Miami and don't want to stumble into the wrong areas. A. Should we drive or take a train or cab? B. What region should we visit? we have one day pre-cruise and one day post-cruise. Thanks.
  12. Where is the BEST place to go upon boarding the ship to adjust reservations?
  13. Great, thanks! Will book [whatever we can get] now online then when we board we will hit up the restaurant immediately. On Regatta they are allowing us to book rezzies at Tosana and Polo Grill.
  14. So my remaining choices for my ONLY 2 Reservations allowed are 3 nights at 9pm in each of the two restaurants. Are there options during the cruise to find earlier reservations? Waiting lists perhaps if I contact the restuarant? What if I meet up with other passengers during my cruise who are staying in higher levels (concierge or penthouse) and they invite us to dinner with them -- are there possiblities with this concept? Thanks.
