  1. I just booked a cruise n the Coral Princess and would like some first hand information about the sanctuary and how it compares to the services I received in the sanctuary  on the Discovery Princess. I know on the Coral it is on the aft of the ship on two different decks.

  2. I also found the fitness class list within the Ships Journey tab on the app. I do Enhanced Fitness at our local YMCA and was hoping that the stretch class would be a good fit while on the cruise. Does anyone have personal experience with this class?I would like to hear a first hand description. Thanks

  3. 1. We have stayed in that cabin years ago on another ship. The cabin location is very nice, but it is a long walk to the midship area where most of the dining venues. The balcony is very large and a wonderful treat. Be sure to have a sun hat to wear on your balcony.

    2. If you really want a suite then I would put in a bid for the amount you are comfortable with paying. Princess will let you know close to sail date if you won the bid. Personally we find the mini suite large enough for two people on a long voyage.

    3. Your medallion will arrive about two weeks before the cruise.

    4. If Princess says your birthday doesn’t match their records then I would take the time to call them (and wait on hold a long time) to be sure all important info is correct.

    5. Yes, you can use the app to book specialty dining. If you have Platinum or Elite status you can book dining reservations before final payment. IMHO I would make reservations in a dining room close to your cabin if mobility is an issue. There is one dining room in the aft of the ship.

    6. The sanctuary is an Adults only pay for a lounger area. We really like the pampering we received and enjoy this area on Sea Days.

    7. The dining room is my go to for food unless I have an early excursion then I’ll pick up breakfast at the international cafe.

Have a fabulous cruise, that is one of our bucket list cruises too.

  4. When getting the premiere package remember it is three prints per person with the package. You can use the app to look at your photos taken on your phone. On our next cruise we will be doing a back to back, so I will pick up my photo prints at the end of each segment. Also I have Princess put all my photos on a drive to take home in addition to downloading them onto my phone. Once at home I use an online photo service to make larger prints/canvas’ of my favorite pictures.

  5. I just downloaded the new app on one device to see if it easily works. Nope, none of my dining reservations transferred.

check again. I didn't see my reservations right of way but you if you look in the upper right hand corner of the reserve dining page there is a small calendar with a heart in it if you have reservations. Click on that and hopefully your reservations will show up.

Minnesotasisu, Thank you for the help, the “heart” worked.

  6. My son and spouse are GF and we have been on several Mexican cruises. If you don’t speak Spanish then I would be sure to get the Celiac translation cards. They have not had an issue when ordering on land, but we try to eat a bit early or look for a smaller restaurant.

Vines is one of our favorite venues.  We sorely missed Vines on the Discovery Princess and will miss it in November on the Enchanted Princess.  😥

LACruiser88, where did you find good wine on the Discovery? We enjoy vines too and it was our pre dinner wine stop nightly on the Regal.

  8. My spouse is Gluten Free and our son has Celiac and we have sailed with Princess numerous times. W prefer having the same waiters each night and ask the dining room hostess if we can get an assigned seat for our whole cruise in one section of the dining room. This allows us to get to know our waiters and makes us easy to find each night when they bring the following nights menu. In my families opinion most of the GF pastries aren’t very good and one can only eat so much Crème  brûlée. One cruise we were blessed to have Princess’s head Pastry chef on board and he made the best GF desserts my family has every tasted.

  9. We don’t think the cheese plate is that exciting, but good a couple times a trip. We like to buy local cheeses at ports.  Then we get to enjoy the cheese with a fruit plate on our balcony.
