  1. You don’t always have to be doing something. You don’t need to get off at every port and to be going to onboard ship activities all the time.

I enjoy sitting on our balcony, staring out at the beautiful, blue sea.

It’s your vacation, so sit back and relax!

    Happy cruising!

  2. Help talk me into/out of it. I am so torn right now. I don't know if I really want one or not. I cannot decide if it is worth it. UGH

I enjoy our balcony when cruising. It’s an oasis of peace and tranquility for me, sitting back and staring at the beautiful, blue sea.

Whether it’s enjoying your first cup of coffee in the morning, relaxing and reading a good book or keeping your door open at night to hear the waves crash against the ship, a balcony adds a special element to our vacation.

If you choose to go with a balcony or not, you’ll enjoy your cruise!

    Happy sailing!

  3. My best tablemate story goes back a ways.....long before the days of Anytime/MyTime Dining.

This was on Majesty of the Seas in 1992, to be exact. Two of my sisters and I, all single and in our 20's at the time, show up at our table to be seated with three young men, also all single and in their 20's, and all from the same home state as us. We hit it off so well that all six of us basically spent the entire cruise together, shore excursions and all. By the end of the cruise, one of those young men asked me out.

That young man and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this fall. :D

Your story tugs at my heartstrings!

  4. Hello! :)

Going on my first cruise in August with Celebrity on the Eclipse and have seen online that they have speciality dining packages for 3 or 5 nights. I have a couple of questions (apologies if these have been asked but the Celebrity website doesn't give me much information!)

    1. If you book a package, does it include alcoholic drinks? I will have a premium drinks package anyway so I'm hoping that covers the drinks as I'm hoping not to pay anything extra other than for food.

    2. Are the packages worth doing or is the main dining room selection pretty good?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Welcome to Cruise Critic Run-lola!

The speciality restaurant packages don’t include alcoholic beverages, but you’ll be all set with your premium beverage package. You can use it at any restaurant or bar on the ship.

Your second question is more difficult to answer. I think the MDR selection and food quality is very good, even excellent, most nights. We usually book to speciality restaurant only once a cruise to celebrate a special occasion or event!

I hope you enjoy your Celebrity cruise!

  5.

Thank you for posting Charles! It will be interesting to see how the new pricing structure will compare with the old 123GO program that included free gratuities, onboard credit and a classic beverage package.

I would venture a guess it will mean a price increase. Time will tell and we will find out on July 6th.

  6. We use the triple treatment option when it comes to nausea: dimenhydrinate, scopolamine and Sea Bands.

It is important to check with your doctor or pharmacist before trying the first two medications because they can interact with other medications or medical conditions.

If you have glaucoma, urinary retention, myasthenia gravis, extrapyramidal symptoms, dementia, intestinal obstruction or an existing heart condition, you shouldn’t take dimenhydrinate or scopolamine.

You shouldn’t take dimenhydrinate and scopolamine at the same time. We usually try the dimenhydrinate first and if it doesn’t work then stop it and go to scopolamine to manage your nausea.

If you experience nausea while cruising you should start one of the medications at least 1day before boarding the ship to get the full benefit.

    Happy cruising!

  7. I agree with what Flatbush Flyer mentioned earlier in this thread. We are making this medication issue more complicated than it needs to be.

Your pharmacist can print out a back panel that he or she would generate for his or her compliance packaging patients. The back panel meets all the legal requirements. It has a prescription number, the name of the medication, the physician’s name, the number of refills, when you should take the medication and a description of each medication. Make sure you also include all your vitamins and herbal supplements on the back panel. You can then attach the back panel to your dosett or compliance pack and you can travel with peace of mind.

You should always bring a few extra days of medication in case you are delayed in getting home.

I hope you enjoy your cruise!

  8. We have travelled with our 17 year old son for the last 5 years and found the Celebrity crew and staff to be excellent with him. On our most recent cruise we took our 15 year old niece with us and while they didn’t participate regularly in the Teens Program when they did, they had a great time!

  9. Cave Tubing with Vitalino Reyes was amazing and we had a fantastic time in Belize! The bus ride takes about an hour to get to the drop-off point and it takes another 30 to 45 minutes to reach the point where you enter the caves, which is well worth the trek.

  10. It's a difficult choice.:rolleyes:I know Equinox is better and I'm afraid to take a step back with Summit..But I would only try millenium class as a different ship from Equinox-Eclipse twins...

    I'll think

    thank you everybody!:)

I think you made the right choice!

  11. The Jade Caverns excursion was fantastic and an excellent activity to do in Cozumel. My son and I had a great day travelling by ATV to the Jade Caverns. I would recommend buying the Bandanna since you will get dusty and dirty.

It was a bumpy and rough ride over rocky terrain to and from the caverns, so you shouldn’t have any back or neck issues and you have to be physically fit to do this tour. We rode the ATVs for about an hour and a half, which was great and longer than I expected.

The Jade Caverns are beautiful and the green, sparkling color of the water is impressive, which made the trip worthwhile.

  12. Before our last cruise I bought an inexpensive Dakota watch that's waterproof! I paid $27 for it and wore it every time I got off the ship! It’s a great watch for the price! It has the time, date, day and a stop watch on it.

  13. Welcome to Celebrity cruise lines Tartana!

While cruising, here is where we normally eat:

Breakfast: Oceanview Cafe. We have eaten in the MDR, but the menu is limited and it takes much longer to get served. Once or twice a cruise, we’ll order room service and enjoy our coffee on the balcony

Lunch: Oceanview Cafe or the Mast Grill.

Supper: MDR. We have made many wonderful friends over the years and look forward to supper. We usually will try a speciality restaurant once a cruise to celebrate a special occasion or an anniversary. Our favorite speciality restaurant is the Tuscan Grille.
