  1. Good for your Son LadyD that is something you should brag about and he should be very proud of. What an accomplishment:)

     

    I am unsure how my weekend will be think I have the stomach bug my girls had. Could only manage to drink 1 cup of coffee and eat really light today my stomach is on the verge nothing happened yet but don;t feel well. I am feeling guilty I didn't get a workout in. I did however manage to go roller skating with my kids school, so I moved a little bit today. I could go workout now but am a little afraid with the few calories I ate today...so we are calling this my off day and hope tomorrow I don't feel worse

    My arms sore too despite just having done my workout, I shudder to think what they will feel like tomorrow.

    Glad I got a workout in despite being overwhelmed with paper work and need to leave in a bit to tax appt. Taking a break while I drink my protein shake(aka Lunch) and surfing cruise critic. Dreaming of vacation.

     

    My Butt is not getting smaller but even at my smallest it is thne biggest part of me :p

  3. Welcome Hula. I hope that you find the support and inspiration and at times venting needs here;) Like i do.

     

     

    Down A Pound!!!! another yes I said another. I never say it is true until it is consistent. So this must be the time frame it takes for me to see the benefits of hard work. (1 month) Better late than never. Hubby is noticing too:)

     

    Today is another killer arm workout and I am still sore from Sunday's arm routine, just a little. I am liking this new weekly workout routine, changes things up. Maybe that is why losing??

     

    I will hopefully be getting the rest of my tax prep done this am so I can meet with CPA at 1 so it will be an extremely stressful day. We own our own business and i am not ready!!! Made appt so I would be prompted to finish them, but the kids having the stomach flu and life has slowed me down...Wish me luck!

  4. Good job lady d especially resisting the tempting food. I do better when I plan exactly what I will eat for the day. I work from home so it would be easy to continually munch.

    I think I may be down another pound it has shown on the scale now 2 days in a row. :)

     

     

    Don't worry so much when you slip a little, it's when you continue the pattern. I'm sure you can work off the licorice really easily. I understand the patience thing and wanting your teenage body. 4 kids have done a number on me, although I don't have a lo of weight to lose when I lose it and am athletically fit, I still don't really like how I look. I have been working my butt off since Jan 2nd and just starting to notice a difference. My hubby however lost 5 lbs this past week. I haven't even lost that all month:eek: He doesn't even exercise and munches all evening.

  5. 3 weeks from right about now I will be heading out for vacation. Trip to Florida with a short 3 night cruse to Bahamas. I have 3 weeks to get back in my summer clothes. Not trying them on until weekend before we leave d then if need be a shopping trip may be in order but I am staying positive that I can do this. Working hard:) Wish I was going on a longer cruise but I will take what I can get.

  6. Started my new workout routine yesterday with intense arm workout and I am SORE! Yeah, that is what I wanted. Was going to do Jillian and some cardio today but may need to just do longer cardio because I don't think my ams could take it. Tomorrow I am going to kill my legs so might not be walking well the following day.

    I am finally starting to SEE a difference in my body,so even though the numbers aren't big, I can at least tell something is happening:)

  7. Going to switch it up. Got some advice from a fitness guru friend of mine. Heavier weight and strength training 3 x a week with reps up to 100 yes 100:eek: Then 3 x a week do a cardio/interval full body strength like I am doing now with Jillian just a longer version maybe 2 workouts. Then rest one day. 80 grams of protein needed with the strength training as not to lose muscle. Hope this works going to get some heavier weights this weekend. Right now I use 8 and 10lb.So we will see how this goes. She also thinks my calories might be too low but I am not hungry so I hesitate to mess around with that too much.:confused:

  8. Lady d that is awesome and something to be proud of!

    You are probably like me and watch shows like Biggest Loser where they lose huge numbers in a week. I have been so good for 3 weeks now and I am pushing it to say I have lost 3 pounds. But I know exercise and healthy eating work, it is not a fad diet so I suppose it in't supposed to come off fast. Good Luck everyone!!! Be good over the weekend ;)

  9. Way to go Sim and everybody else who is plugging away. Glad you are on the mend ANN. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't get a work out in but I was gone all day and just really couldn't fit it in. I workout in my downstairs which is also my boys bedroom, so they were off to bed and I hadn't worked out yet. UGH! But I plan on doing extra today to make up for it. I am fortunate I work form home so I get my workout in while the kids are gone at school. My youngest is home 3 days a week, but she just plays while I do my thing. Hoping to see some significant results soon :)

  10. Good job to everyone. i find that food journaling and keeping track of exercise on Lose it is very helpful. Holds me accountable. If anyone decides to join it is fee and you can be friends with people so they can comment on your progress. I am found on there under Margot Parraghi . Hope to see you guys on there. I think I may be down a pound or 2 but don't really give much value to that since it can change day to day. I really try to go by how I look and feel. I feel good just hoping to see some results soon. Although I won't be attempting a bikini I will be happy the way I look in my suit. Keep up the good work:)

  11. I am in leave for vacation and cruise Feb.22nd coming up fast. I have been faithful with my food logging on Lose it ssince Jan. 2nd andhope to lose 10lbs by the trip. I try not to weigh myself very often because I am very short and I will see a bigger difference in my shape than I will pounds. I love to run but winter in MI I don't go out that much. I do however use Jillian's Ripped in 30 and my eliptical and treadmill. I shoot for 30 min to 1 hour a day and since the 2nd I think I have only 1 day of no exercise. It is key for me to look the way I want to, or at least almost. I don't belive my body will ever be the way it was prior to birthing and nursing 4 kids :eek: Good luck everyone:)
