  1. We came back from our Greece & Croatia cruise yesterday. We didn't see any refugee boats or people trying to reach the coasts by swimming.

We did a bridge tour and I asked about the ship's handling about refugee boats. They told us that this season they didn't see any refugee boats, last season they did twice. They assisted the refugees from the overturn boat and brought them to the next port, where the authorities were informed in advance.

  2. We're in a Grand Suite on the Vision OTS in a few weeks and I'm wondering about the coffee machine in the Concierge Lounge. I have a dairy intolerance and usually drink my coffee with almond or soy milk. I know I can get my soy latte from Cafe Latte-tudes, but is it available in the Concierge Lounge, too? It would be very nice to start the day with a soy latte oder soy cappuccino in the Concierge Lounge. :)

  3. Ah "earplugs", ok thank you, I don't know it's the same word for those things on the iPod. ;)

Yes, we're from Germany and we use a German travel agent. Funny, that you made the same experience.

We're sailing out from Venice, going to Kings's Landing, Kusadasi (other cruise lines removed Turkey from the itinerary, RCI doesn't), Santorini and Katakolon. Very nice ports. :)

  4. Yes that's right, we've booked a balcony gty at the end of march for our upcoming cruise at the end of may. Stateroom was assigned the day we've booked (D1, deck 7). We're platinum C&A members, cruised 6 times with RCI, so no upper tier C&A member. Our travel agent said it's because of our C&A status, but come on, with 47 completed cruise points I don't believe it. But no matter what, we're very happy and excited and looking forward to our first cruise in a suite. :)

    Thank you all. :)

  5. Hello,

we've booked a balcony guarantee stateroom for our med cruise on the Vision OTS, stateroom was assigned some weeks ago on deck 7 (D1). Very nice.

Now I just wanted to check-in online, having a look into the booking dashboard.

Stateroom number has changed into Grand Suite on deck 8.

We've never ever got upgrades. We've never cruised in a Grand Suite before... interior, outside, balcony... but never a suite.

What does it mean? Any amenities and services we don't think about, beside a lot of more space? What about gratuities?

Tell me everything about suite life on a cruise ship please. :D

    Many greetings from Cachecruiser :)

  6. I've asked the customer service from resort for a day about it. They say, for the Freedom OTS, the shuttle departs at 10:45 am and picks one up at the resort at 5 pm. Hope this helps. :)

  7. There is no geocache within the gated area in Falmouth. This would be against the guidelines of Groundspeak. We tried to publish an event in Coco Cay but the reviewer didn't allowed this. Because this is an exclusive, private area by the cruise line and only accessible to cruise ship passengers, so others couldn't attend. He said we have to find a spot not on a private island nor on restricted cruise docks that is accessible to all geocachers (Local geocachers, geocachers arriving by plane, etc.) not just cruisers. In my understanding this applies to Falmouth too.
