We just did Chukka this week -- as long as you get there first thing in the morning on one of the first excursions then you will get a free lounger and your spot of the beach. The later excursions or ships all got stuck with a normal lawn chair near the back.

 

They had a limited bar with $5-$6 drinks, $2 chocolate bars, etc. (negative here).

 

We felt it could have been $5 cheaper / pp.... but when I saw Red Stripe review it felt bare.

 

PS: It's a minimum 4 hours, the first bus back started at 4 hour mark but you could stay longer.

P.S actually I think all prices are the same in the two menus. Or at least the ones I read over, they layout is different, that's about it

 

Yup - Jump to 3:13 in your video. Room Service prices seem to be $0.25 cheaper for the first few in the list compared to the menu's you've posted.

Quick question - I thought I saw you post pics of the Room Service TV Menu but I can no longer find them. If I'm not crazy, can you point them out? I thought I saw some drinks that were cheaper on the TV than than in the bars...

I've been trying to find more on Red Stripe Beach, anyone else have any thoughts, suggestions etc.?

Do you need to book before, or can you just book that day and go for a few hours?

Right now we are first seating for MDR, so what should we try for time wise that is to see shows.

 

There is always an early showing for the Late Dinner (2nd Seating) guests, and then a later showing for the Early Dinner guests.

 

You're covered either way :-)

 

I have heard people concerned that 90 minutes is not enough time for 1st Seating and then Show. If you are a really slow eater then it could present a problem, but let your wait staff know and they will accommodate :)

The show schedule is designed to ensure you see everything.

 

For example: You can only see Chicago on the first 2 nights, Last 2 nights Blue Planet, with 2 or 3 nights of Comedy/Music Performance show inbetween. Quest will be late at night at it will not interfere with the other shows.

The food was cold and other then the fruit plate (how can you screw fruit up, right?) I wasn't too impressed.

 

Exact same problem we had with room service. Complained and no response.

It was overcast, but I'm not sure if that would cause all the seaweed and the color of the water to change that much..??!

Seriously? It’s picture perfect. This has to be the most beautiful beach I have ever visited. It really is one of my new favorite places on the planet (next to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and Brixen, Italy – but they don’t have beaches).

 

You lucked out, as we were very disappointed in the beach -- we did exact same thing with Sexy on the Sep. 16 Allure sailing and here is what we dealt with:

 

Oh man I was torn between the Carnival Breeze and the Oasis in early 2014 now after this review I'm adding the Allure to my indecision list. Great review and great pictures!!

 

Oasis/Allure are pretty identical, you can't lose -- it all comes down to your Entertainment preference and if you prefer Saturday vs Sunday sailing :D

Did you venture out there where the telescope is, would love to know on what deck the exit is!!

 

Deck 14, you get to it by going all the way to the Forward on Port side [The door on Starboard side is for Emergency Exit only].

 

It's basically the wing on top of the Bridge (port has same wing)

As you can see on my last cruise I was a bit obsessed with Allure while it was in port :D See how tiny the ship I was on looks next to Allure LOL!

 

Britta, was this picture taken on Sep 22 in Nassau?? I was on that Allure sailing and we laughed at that Carnival ship beside us. :p
