  1. One last thing about the Wind. Unfortunately, we had three occasions of need to visit the onboard medical facility. I have no idea if the doctor in June was the same for this B2B we are finishing up, but she and her team were fantastic and we felt we had been well taken care of.

  2. Hi!

    We were on the Wind in June (Helsinki to Reykjavik(, and as Wes said, are winding up a wonderful 42 day B2B from Kangerlussuaq to Vancouver . We have been in 535; nicely convenient location,  we thought.
    At times, we did notice an odd odor upon entering the cabin corridor but we mentioned this to the wonderful Hotel Director, Mr. Turnuklu and the issue disappeared.
    The ship is clean, we do not see any frayed or worn fabrics, so see a couple nicks here and there on the wood in the cabin. We found it a VERY comfortable and pleasant environment.
    I hope this helps;

  3. This is kind of concerning as we booked the post cruise excursion via Silversea last year.  I do not mind ending up in Dubai as we originally booked for 2022 to end in Dubai, but this new itinerary came up (Athens to Dubai) and it had a couple of ports that differed from the original and we switched to this new itinerary.

  4. We received an email today that the Endeavour will be sailing the Explorer's 2022/2023 Antarctica Schedule, including the Bridge program. I wonder if the company is letting the Explorer "go" earlier than previously anticipated. We had booked three cruises over the last couple of years with the Explorer; obviously, all were understandably cancelled. Sigh. It was a ship I would have liked to have sailed on; maybe we will have to try Ponant once just for the chance :)!

    Take care and happy travels, ALL!

    Most of the Expedition lines will be making a Go/No Go decision in late August to early September. There could also be port changes or moves to Argentina from Chile or vice versa depending on the state of COVID in those countries.

    Thanks for this information!  Where did you find it? We are booked on an Antarctica cruise in Februarly 2022 and I would like to monitor any news as to the status of the sailing.

    Thanks,

    First time on Silversea. Tried searching the forum but can't find the information.  Is the dress code on the Silver Cloud different than the other ships?  Silversea website only has the one dress code.   Our voyage is August 8, 2021, Kangerlussuaq to Kangerlussuaq, 14 days Greenland and Canada. Any information on what to pack clothes wise would be helpful and appreciate.  Thanks!

    We are also on this trip, having been on the Cloud in 2018 for the Reykjavik to Kangerlussuaq trip (which was fantastic!).  There are no formal nights. I think my husband may have packed a suit jacket for dinner, but not a suit and I do not believe he ever wore a tie (but may have brought one just in case). AND he did not wear the jacket very often, generally a nice shirt and slacks as he would to work.  As it is an expedition cruise, we found it more casual than we expected, but still "nice".  We saw men in suits at dinner, but not many. Women wore nice dresses or slacks/tops (as one would to a nice restaurant); lunch is more casual.  We DID have one night that was a bit dressy, but I had a pretty cardigan jacket that looked "dressy" but not formal with dark slacks.  We quite enjoy Silversea and sincerely hope this cruise "goes".  There IS a "fancy" restaurant that has a fee, but we never ate there.  We did enjoy the Grille for dinner; this is at the outside bar area and you cook your own entree on an extremely hot lava slab. Something different and no fee; one does have to bundle but the area is under cover so that helps. Anyway, let us keep hoping that we get to go!!!
